Scottish Cup Draw: Rangers v Partick Thistle
alexscottislegend replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
My grandpa used to take me to Firhill so I kind of have a nostalgic affection for them. Hope we don't over-punish them. -

I'm sure he was close to joining the Souness revolution at one stage. -

I just meant that we've seen similar ones given in the WC and elsewhere, even when hands are down. Hate the rule anyway. -

We murdered them 2-2 so suppose I should be happy. -

Beaton and Collum on the VAR saved us from a Goldson handball; that sort was being given in the World Cup. -

Maeda is showing everything that is missing in Kent. But why oh why do we give the ball away more often than them? -
I'm always the optimist but I fail to see why Keltic are so good man for man. Where they did have the upper hand is in their last minute recoveries; it's not where we start, it's where we finish. Against Hibs we showed that we might be rivalling their durability.

You're quite right; I hadn't factored in the physics. It can hurt if you're hit by a tennis ball.

Yes it's remarkable how many British names crop up in Argentina.

Confirmed: Michael Beale named Rangers manager

In what way is it rubbish? -
Could understand it more if the balls were as heavy as the old bladders in our day; they had thick laces as well and were heavy enough just kicking never mind heading.

[2022] Who should be the next Rangers manager?
alexscottislegend replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
If so then I would want Kevin Thomson as his assistant. From his podcast with English recently I took it to be his job application; he certainly is Rangers-minded. -

Kevin Thomson in his podcast with Tom English made a good point: he said there's a world of difference between fighting relegation battles and managing Rangers' expectations: so that rules out Dyche. Knutsen would handle Keltic all right but I wouldn't be unhappy with Beale and Thomson as his assistant. -
Match Preview [FT] Rangers 1 (Tavernier 87' pen) - 3 Ajax

Well I'm just shitting it. -
Hate to raise this but if we get rid of GVB who on earth would be available to take the job? Surely not McInnes? Sean Dyche maybe. Think the Michael Beale ship has sailed too.

Oh dear. This could spell the end of Gio. Never thought I'd be saying that. -

It's now clear that Michael Beale was the power behind the throne. Could be our manager one day.
