Official: Goldson signs new four year deal
alexscottislegend replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I beg your pardon Mr Scott?😁 -
I can only surmise he was mis-quoted. You couldn't have got a much more patriotic Scot than Souness. Just remember his delight when we drew with England.

I want Rangers players to represent their country and I believe they do too; think of the great players and captains like John Grieg. Just because a few narrow-minded morons boo them is no reason to deny their opportunity: the booing is the problem of the morons not us and we should not give in to it.

We're not forcing anybody - it's the decision of the authorities.

And I don't get this 'once in a lifetime' thing: with the squad we have we have every chance of making the CL group stages which will help to build our finances. -

You seemed to have missed my point. Why is Ramsey as deserving of sympathy as some others? -

Why does he need support? Has he found his way into our hearts? If it had been Tav or Lundstram I would be much more magnanimous. As a human being, yes. But not as a key Ranger. -

Getting positive news like that is almost as good as winning the trophy. I remember how in 1972 Willie Waddell described some fans as 'guttersnipes.' -
Anyone know how many qualifying rounds we play this time? Surely we can't have to go through as many hoops as before given our achievements?

Look, I always thought this was going to the wire. I'm not scared of penalties. Are you lot? -

There's no doubt now that he was an upgrade on SG; his tactical nous is far superior. He found it more difficult to win domestically because of the way teams park the bus but I have confidence that he can reclaim the league next season. -

This really should be on my bucket list, but I just cannot get away from a contract I'm committed to this month. Good luck guys, I'm envious. -

To think that at the start of this season there were people on here who wanted us to forget about Europe and focus on the league. That's what Keltic did and I wouldn't swap with them for any price. -

What an idiot. As if you're not entitled to play without a recognised striker. -

It may have to be re-calibrated now. -
Dolly the cat would be an excellent appointment for Manure.

Steady on!🤣

An Irish team they are assuredly not; even the 67 team all came from within 30 miles of Glasgow.

I may get slaughtered for this but can it really be argued that it would be better than the achievement of being the first British team to win the Euro Cup in 1967? That same year we also got to a Euro final and should have won it if we hadn't had to have Roger Hynd at CF. Scotland also beat the world champions at Wembley so it was a vintage year for Scottish football. You have a very valid point about the financial disparity though.

And the big difference there was that the English League had a different champion almost every season as it was a much more level playing field. Leicester apart, it's pretty much a financial cartel these days.
