  1. No doubt about it BD. Ashley won't give up easily on all of the different types of free advertising he's getting for Sports Direct. Slowly but surely we're being turned into a Club like NUFC where everywhere you turn there's a Sports Direct logo.
  2. The Daily Record article in the OP could even be the start of it. Toxic, his associates and their ilk will be feeding the press with preemptive strikes against Dave King in order to have our fans expecting a lot more info (plans etc) from King than what we're likely to get. Then if as Craig predicted earlier in the thread, it turns out to fall short of the hype, then the boards PR rats go into overdrive on the King smear campaign part XI with the usual 'he has no plans' guff.
  3. It took Wallace and Nash 4 months on the inside to review the business and even begin to formulate some basic plans, so unfortunately, I can't imagine Dave King or any of the other Rangers men being able to give us detailed or clear plans until they're in control and have a full understanding of the damage which has been done.
  4. Toxic Jack and his PR minions will be doing a lot of overtime this week!
  5. There's absolutely no way we can afford to pay even half of the wages for these loan signings, so either Newcastle are paying all or most of their wages or we're being ripped off yet again. It's that simple. Not only that, but we need a proper manager to turn this season around and gain promotion otherwise we'll have disgruntled players, dressing room unrest and virtually no chance of promotion barring some divine interventions.
  6. They wouldn't sign him purely out of fear that he impregnated half of Catalan within 6 months.
  7. I did suggest this when I heard Kenny had handed in his notice of resignation. Hire the bloody clipboard and let's get on with the title chase. Seriously though, we really do need a proper manager to be brought in ASAP.
  8. Ibrox alone could need something like fifteen to twenty million spent on it to do a proper job of the necessary repair, restoration and upgrade work. In the absence of absolutely MASSIVE investment it obviously can't all be done at the one time, but the stark reality of our situation is that properly fixing our Club and turning it into the force it should be again is going to require £30 million of pure investment minimum.
  9. Left to right: Gael Bigirimana, Haris Vukcic & Remi Streete .........
  10. Here's the round-up of the GPL movers & shakers following Sunday’s 0-2 League Cup defeat at Hampden as well as the latest full results and standings tables...... http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?68306-Predictions-for-Celtic-v-Rangers-League-Cup-SF-(GPL-game-31)&p=546706&viewfull=1#post546706
  11. He was actually just about to become a father when he was given the new deal.
  12. We need a decent manager to be brought in now as a matter of urgency before the magic clipboard turns this season into an even bigger clusterfuck than it already is.
  13. It really isn't funny seeing a goalkeeper who's almost 29 and a 31 year old central defender in the starting line-up for an U20/development league match.
  14. The spin-meisters are out in force today, so I'll wait for something definitive and officially confirmed before even thinking about these rumours.
  15. No handbags, just one or two slight misunderstandings. Let's get back on topic please folks.
  16. D'Art, You might not be browsing Gersnet often enough to see or note our reasonably frequent warnings & reminders, but I do think you visit often enough to appreciate that this is a well run and well moderated forum. Criticisms of the way Gersnet is being run are disappointing, especially when we do try our best to run a tight ship, but we'll always listen to valid criticism, so if you or anyone else have specific complaints you know that Frankie, myself and the rest of the admin & mod team are easy to contact in person to discuss any issues privately. We will always try to resolve any situations which have gotten out of hand, but been missed or slipped under the radar. We don't tolerate forum members being abusive or insulting to other forum members. We ask everyone here to be as respectful to each other as possible and debate/discuss matters sensibly even during times of disagreement. We ask forum members not to bad mouth other Bears (outwith Gersnet) with unjustified, OTT criticism and abuse like we see well known fans like Mark Dingwall, Chris Graham, Craig Houston and others getting hit with repeatedly on other forums and/or social media. We also ask our forum members not to bad mouth or post abusive comments about other Gers forums, Gers sites or Gers fan groups. We ask Gersnet members not to post abusive comments about Rangers players, ex-players, Club staff & ex-Club staff. These are all things we quite frequently post reminders of as/when it's deemed necessary. What we can't guarantee is that we're on here 24/7 constantly moderating the threads and posts, but we do try our best to maintain high standards and that's something which I think most of the Gersnet forum members appreciate about this place.
  17. Exactly BD. Where was the meeting held btw? Anyone know?
  18. Here's the rest of the article which is missing from the first post of the thread - http://www.shareprophets.com/views/10353/rangers-fc-an-open-letter-to-the-scottish-fa-demanding-formal-enquiry
  19. I've now added the full article above as I wasn't logged in to his website earlier to get the full article content.
  20. Rangers FC - I ask AIM Regulation to launch formal probe By Tom Winnifrith, The Sheriff of AIM | Sunday 1 February 2015 Earlier this week I asked if the Board of AIM listed Rangers FC could justify why it had rejected two refinancings in favour of a third proposal put forward by a major shareholder in the club Mr. Michael Ashley. The Board of Rangers FC (RFC) is dominated by business associates of Mr. Ashley. Can Rangers show paperwork to justify its decisions and therefore show that it did not breach Section 994 of the 2006 Companies Act? Rangers has not responded. And so today I have written to AIM Regulation Team asking it to investigate I have already written to the Scottish FA asking it to investigate – see HERE. Dear Sirs. Request for a formal investigation into Rangers FC & the conduct of its board As you are no doubt aware the board of Rangers FC is dominated by associates of Mr. Michael Ashley. In the past month Rangers has rejected two proposals to refinance and accepted a third from Mr. Ashley. In my humble opinion the Ashley proposal was not in the best interests of Rangers since merely by taking on yet more debt for a company that is not generating cash, it does nothing to resolve balance sheet weakness. That could have been addressed by the Sarver equity financing proposal. As I am sure you are aware, Section 994 of the 2006 Companies Act requires a company to treat all shareholders equally. The board of Rangers has refused to answer the question as to what independent financial advice it took in deciding that the Ashley proposal was in the best interests of ALL shareholders. For the avoidance of doubt, consulting China Fraud specialist Mr. Paul Shackleton at WH Ireland does not count as independent advice since his firm is paid a retainer by Rangers FC. An AIM listed company. Even one as grotesquely mismanaged as Rangers must as part of its continuing obligations as an AIM Casino stock, be able to show that it is abiding by the requirements of the Companies Act. I therefore request that you launch a formal enquiry into Rangers forcing it to prove what independent financial advice it took in assessing all three offers in order that it can demonstrate clear compliance with the 2006 Companies Act and forcing its Nomad, the hapless Mr Shackleton to show what steps he took to ensure that his client assessed all offers in a thorough fashion. If neither Rangers or Mr Shackleton can demonstrate that a fair independent assessment was made I suggest to you that immediate regulatory sanction must be applied to both. I remain, as ever, your obedient servant Tom Winnifrith The Sheriff of AIM http://www.shareprophets.com/views/10372/rangers-fc-i-ask-aim-regulation-to-launch-formal-probe
  21. LAST CALL!!! Don't forget to post your predictions before kick-off!! Do it here - Predictions for Celtic v Rangers - League Cup SF (GPL game 33)
  22. What Clark & Whitehouse discussed with HMRC vs what they told US vs what they put in the GreenCo CVA proposal don't necessarily all need to align or tally. Slight tangent, but I see that Worthington Group published another Q&A with their CEO, Doug Ware yesterday and that amongst his comments he said: http://worthingtongroupplc.com/ceo-questions-and-answers/
  23. I didn't believe half of what Clark & Whitehouse told us during the administration. The fact that they've been called up on criminal charges would suggest it was maybe a prudent way to have read the situation. All seems very strange? Yes, it certainly does and did at the time too.
  24. It always seemed possible to me at the time that the administrators, Clark and Whitehouse never even intended to produce a CVA proposal which could be accepted by the creditors, so is it possible that they added it to GreenCo's CVA proposal specifically so that it would fail? After all, the failed CVA meant that the Club cost their preferred bidder a lot less money and the 'newco' route which Clark and Whitehouse were clearly very keen on also meant leaving the massive potential liability with the 'oldco' in liquidation.
