    Good work Frankie, although I have to say that I don't think the Rangers Fans Board have any chance whatsoever of holding the current Rangers directors to account on any important/critical issues at all, not one, even if certain RFB members would like to and have the appetite for it.

    Yet again our directors have tried to directly blame the fans for the Club's horrific financial situation when the truth of the matter is that even if they'd managed to sell 35,000 season tickets and get 40k+ attendances at Ibrox all season, the Club would STILL have been short of something like £5m in working capital to see out the season.

    Classic distraction/diversion tactic. Unfortunately a lot of Bears will fall for it and take their minds off the real Rangers scandal of the day.

    If it even goes to print, then whatever newspaper is printing it should be ashamed of themselves for supporting such a load of drivel from a bunch of obsessed crackpots. With newspaper sales in such rapid decline year-on-year though, it's no real surprise that they're scrambling for any sensationalist crap they can get their hands on.

    If the RST get 100 participants is it really worth the paperwork and admin for the sake of c. 35k shares?

    In all honesty we were always going to be up against it in this game, so getting Craig Thomson as our ref might end up making very little difference anyway.

    If we sign players who gamble a lot, then yes, it's almost a certainty that this will happen again. After Steve Simonsen's embarrassing performance against Dundee Utd, there were red flags flying all over the shop about the guy's suitability to play for us considering his love of gambling, but remarkably we signed him again.

    It's not just the footballers, it's the coaching and managerial staff too John. They're basically overpaid, so some of these folk inevitably end up thinking they've got money to burn.

    IIRC the get-out clause for bookies providing sporting authorities like the SFA (and FA down south etc) with info on footballers betting is just simply based on them being legally allowed to flag up any suspicious activity which could relate to match fixing or in-game activity fixing.

    There was a lot of discussion on the data protection act issue following the news that Ian Black was under investigation, but if I remember right the bookies have their backs covered with legal small print and an agreement with the SFA and other sporting bodies that football players and sportsmen gambling on their own sport are subject to far less legal protection, if any at all.

    Aye and not a very safe bet either. I can't understand why any football manager could even consider trusting a goalkeeper who regularly places bets.

    Considering the level and frequency of abusive comments you post elsewhere about fellow Rangers fans, I'd say that your barometer on this subject is somewhat faulty and in need of calibration.
