  1. I was thinking earlier on that one of the possibilities as to what's really going on here is that a plan is in place to enter administration again and for Ashley as secured creditor to do a deal on a CVA, but there's several things making me wonder if that's even possible. Firstly, the directors have now had numerous legitimate funding offers of various types and secondly, an Ashley takeover while he still owns NUFC would clearly be a major problem with the SFA.
  2. I do agree with D'Art's sentiments, although did think about saying something similar to this earlier this evening because many of the biggest clubs in the world have built new stadiums on their existing land or in many cases even relocated to new purpose-built state of the art stadiums. As sentimental as we are about the current Ibrox stadium, the way I see it is that a new Ibrox stadium shouldn't be completely ruled out, especially when the current stadium needs such vast amounts of work done on it.
  3. There's a big chunk of mid table which is very tight, so you've got a fight on your hands! :box:
  4. I don't quite know what to think as the Club's situation is very unclear, but just as I wouldn't ask fans not to enter the stadium, I wouldn't call for the opposite either because at the end of the day it's every fan's personal choice.
  5. That came after the part of the statement which said "we would ask fans not to enter the game".
  6. Completely agree with the call for a mass protest, but I don't agree with calling for fans not to enter the stadium to support the team. If we can beat Hearts tomorrow night, then it narrows the gap and could cause Hearts to start wobbling themselves. If they start dropping points over the next couple of months the league title might not be out of our reach after all.
  7. That's the predictions thread up for the Hearts game tomorrow night folks. Don't forget to post your predictions between now and kick-off. Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v Hearts - SPFL Championship match 21 (GPL game 31)
  8. Apologies for the delay getting this GPL update done folks. I've been busy with other commitments this week while also suffering from a virus, but finally, here's the latest GPL round-up plus full results and standings tables following the Alloa game at the weekend........ http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?67903-Predictions-for-Alloa-Athletic-v-Rangers-SPFL-Championship-match-20-(GPL-game-30)&p=541972&viewfull=1#post541972
  9. Unfortunately this is not surprising news at all, but being unsurprised doesn't make it any better or easier to stomach. Are those controlling the Club and their boardroom placemen just playing funny buggers again in their negotiation tactics and this is a stalling and bargaining maneuver? Or does Ashley have no intention of walking away or giving up his control of the Club, so on the contrary he's actually making moves to tighten his grip? Ashley having security over all of the main Club assets fills me with dread because it would really put him back in the driving seat.
  10. I don't have a definitive list of his lies, but let's see what I can think of just off the top of my head. He said he would always tell us the truth. That was a Charles Green classic! It was clear he was having trouble keeping up with his porkies right from his first televised interview! He told us he had never met Craig Whyte. That particular lie didn't last very long because very shortly afterwards he was telling us he had handed Whyte a couple of quid. Then it was just a quid he handed the guy he'd never met who it later turned out he had indeed met. Then there was his repeated contradictions (aka bullshit) about the investors he had lined up, such as his patter about having 4 investors with £20m each to invest banging down his door and IIRC there were other variations of that nonsense. Then we had his more well known crackers like the Adidas deal, Dallas Cowboys, Man Utd wanting us in the EPL and plethora of other shite. 100 million turnover? Global fanbase of 300 million fans? yada yada yada
  11. Best of luck to the lad for the future.
  12. Apart from the fact that right from square one it was quite clear that he was a bullshitting patter merchant with a complete aversion to the truth.
  13. Article from the Hearts site last Monday - http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/4082
  14. We originally only gave them 950 tickets, but their allocation was increased to over 2000 last Monday.
  15. No bad-mouthing of other Gers forums or Gers sites please.
  16. "Statement of intention not to make an offer" That title says it all really. At first it was an offer/proposal with the small print caveat that it was not actually an offer/proposal at all. Now we're getting statements of intent "not to make an offer" that was never actually an offer anyway.
  17. I don't care how they go about it, but Dave King, George Taylor, Dougie Park & George Letham really must get rid of Somers and James Easdale and get at least 2 men on the PLC board to replace them. Getting rid of Sandy Easdale from the Club board can come later after they've got control of the PLC board.
  18. See that Frankie, they're all feart of getting banned. We must be doing something right!
  19. LAST CALL !!! - - Predictions for Alloa Athletic v Rangers - SPFL Championship match 20 (GPL game 30)
  20. Yes, he might have sold. His shares certainly aren't listed in his own name, but since he bought in as one of the early investors before the IPO his shares could be hiding behind Beaufort Nominees along with most of the other original investors (BPH, Margarita and many others) or hiding behind one of the numerous other Nominees masking shareholder identities. Beaufort Nominees holds 18,391,569 shares.
  21. There was the recent comment to dB where you said "Is your rampant paranoia perhaps getting the better of you?"
  22. My personal favourite was an email from stewarty which contained no content and just had the title "Forum down klaxon!". Thanks stewarty!
  23. Anywhere between 2 & 3 million shares depending on the purchase price mate, so maybe around about 3%.
