SoS online petition - Remove the existing board
Zappa replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
As is your choice BM. I would never dream of saying people shouldn't boycott because everyone should make up their own mind and not be swayed by others. -
SoS online petition - Remove the existing board
Zappa replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
It just went over 5k signatures. -
Agreed although where is the Prior backing Dave King scoop coming from? Regarding 50% of the fans backing change, I'm guessing whoever made that chart is just trying to be safe or conservative based on the fact that not all fans will vote and we also unfortunately have a loony fringe in the support.

SoS online petition - Remove the existing board

I haven't signed it because I can't support a full boycott, which this clearly is, but I would have signed it if it was just a petition to remove the board. -

Yes it was quite high, but varied between different Resolutions. Just over 28% of the issued share capital didn't vote on Resolutions 4 & 5 which were the re-appointments of James Easdale & Derek Llambias, while almost 22% of the issued share capital didn't vote on Resolution 9. http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/12193551.html

I'm not convinced that we can count on the accuracy of the 12% shareholding attributed simply to 'fans' in that chart above because it's probably just the old figure from immediately after the IPO, but since then some of those fan shareholders will have had their holdings diluted following the recent share issue.

12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
Zappa replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
That was quite an interesting read. If Sarver is serious about getting involved he should try to buy out the whole GreenCo/BPH/Margarita/Easdale shareholder block, but he'd have to be prepared to pay considerably more than the current share price. -

The thought of a Sandy Easdale portrait hanging at the top of the marble staircase is enough to put you off your dinner. -

Even if they sell 5k half season tickets it would only bring in about £1m which is the sort of money that will be gone in weeks. They won't sell that many though, not unless there's a takeover by the Rangers men and a new manager appointed plus a couple of player signings.

12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
Zappa replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
In fairness, things are moving at a very fast pace at the moment and although the article about the AJ interview states 'last night', we don't know exactly when the interview was conducted. I'd assume that it was 'last night' UK time, but that could be as early as 5pm or 6pm meaning AJ had been caught off guard and not had time to catch up with unfolding events yesterday. -
Rangers declines to release Fraser Aird for U20 tournament
Zappa replied to Bearman's topic in Rangers Chat
If I'm not mistaken, the lad is still eligible to play for Scotland, so the decision might not have been one made just by Rangers, but one made by Rangers on behalf of Aird himself. He might have his eyes set on the senior Canadian national team or Scotland call-up, although I think looking for a Scotland call-up would be very misguided. -
New £500k Easdale loan & HMRC letter regarding unpaid NI
Zappa replied to gisabeer's topic in Rangers Chat
The bottom line for me is that the Easdales are toxic just like their wee PR man Jack. They were brought to the table by the Charles Green dog & pony show, given directorships and blazers with very minimal investment into the Club, but put in place anyway and supposedly promised GreenCo shares, presumably for the specific purpose of being front men/placemen for the whole GreenCo/BPH/Margarita shareholding block, hence why they were given such a large number of proxy voting rights. We have absolutely no idea what sort of deals they did with GreenCo and their investors/associates in order to be appointed their positions and power at our Club, but it's a pretty safe bet to assume that deals were struck and promises are still being kept. We should try not to lose sight of or forget the facts, so let's have a wee recap... GreenCo bring BPH/Margarita and other so-called 'investors' to the table from day 1, including Mike Ashley. GreenCo immediately gift Mike Ashley's company an absolutely ridiculous retail and merchandising contract which is about as far from being good for Rangers commercially as possible. That's not even counting giving Ashley the Ibrox naming rights for a quid and god knows what else. GreenCo then go all out with moonbeams & downright bullshit to sell the IPO to fans and investors. They bring in circa £22 million from the IPO, but squander virtually all of it inside 10 months, including a mysterious £6m+ in IPO costs with only about £2m of the 'costs' actually ever being itemised in the company accounts, leaving at least £4m, but perhaps a lot more, essentially unaccounted for other than being named as 'one-off costs'. Shortly after the IPO GreenCo & their associates/'investors' (or was it 'paymasters'?) then bring in the Easdales in what appears to have been a plan designed so that Green could exit stage left ASAP with as much money and shares as possible in as short a time frame as possible, leaving their new placemen (or patsies as Craig put it) sitting in the Ibrox boardroom to look after their interests and the interests of their associates. The Easdales then quickly proceeded with the help of Jack Irvine (who now all of a sudden worked for them and not GreenCo - allegedly) and his legal eagle pals who also assisted GreenCo and Whyte before them, to start intimidating disgruntled Rangers fans who dared to speak out against them on various Gers sites online via threats of legal action. Included in an embarrassing series of events with the Easdales and their legal threats to fans and fan sites was a so-called Club statement about the alleged book-fiddling liar Stockbridge being intimidated himself, but more importantly, the same statement included a notice that the 'Club' had informed the police about a meeting taking place at the Louden regarding a fan protest. Do I need to even continue and go into details of how they have specifically done their utmost to keep out the wealthy Rangers men with the Club's best interests at heart?- 74 replies

New £500k Easdale loan & HMRC letter regarding unpaid NI
Zappa replied to gisabeer's topic in Rangers Chat
It's got nothing to do with attention seeking, but everything to do with PR/spin in order to try to save his blazer if Dave King and the other Bears take over. Thanks to his style and use of the Toxic PR man though, Sandy's just damaging his chances of remaining at Ibrox even further.- 74 replies

12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
Zappa replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The pattern is that between clowns like Somers & the Easdales in our boardroom and Paul Shackleton (now our adviser from WH Ireland, but formerly of Daniel Stewart) as the company NOMAD, they've repeatedly been cocking up stock exchange statements and announcements, then having to correct them. -

Zappa replied to gisabeer's topic in Rangers Chat
Coming back to this HMRC issue, this info was posted elsewhere: "Tax due on 22nd Dec was not paid, letter issued 30th Dec. If no payment received by 6th Jan then HMRC would commence with winding up club. SPFL say no breach in their rules as tax only viewed as overdue if not paid by 19th Jan."- 74 replies

board in contact with king and 3 bears in attempt to save club.
Zappa replied to the gunslinger's topic in Rangers Chat
That's his original purchase. It's just being officially notified that he's crossed the 6% threshold. -
There wasn't really any massive numbers, but there were a lot more trades in a day than has been the norm for the RIFC shares and several hundred thousand changed hands overall. There could also have been much higher volumes traded as delayed transactions as well.
