  1. No doubt about it. If the Bears can acquire those Artemis shares it would be another pivotal point.
  2. When they eventually get around to updating the major shareholders list on the investor relations site, it should look something like this: Artemis - 8,109,223 = 9.95% George Taylor - 7,575,000 = 9.34% Mike Ashley - 7,265,000 = 8.92% River and Mercantile - 5,754,827 = 7.06% Douglas Park - 5,000,000 = 6.14% (+ what he already owned) Blue Pitch Holdings - 4,426,485 = 5.43% Sandy Easdale - 4,242,110 = 5.21% Miton Group - 4,060,282 = 4.98% George Letham - 3,299,415 = 4.05% (+ what he already owned) Margarita - 2,600,000 = 3.19% I think we can expect to see announcements of exact totals for both Douglas Park & George Letham. What I'd really love to see though, is a list of all shareholders from 0.5% upwards, as the 3% upwards list only shows about 65% of the shares held or something like that.
  3. Done. Our thoughts and best wishes are with the families and friends of the 66 fans.
  4. Anyone fancy writing a wee match preview today ahead of the game tomorrow?

    Reds Fan In Peace

Macleod is a highly talented, versatile and dedicated young midfielder (think very good young no.10) who will be sorely missed by his teammates and the fans here. His departure could even cost us promotion at this point of the season because there's solid and repeated evidence to say that our team normally hasn't functioned properly or played anywhere near as well if Lewis has been out injured or through illness. Assuming the deal gets finalized, Brentford will have gotten a real bargain, even if they've paid £1m or more.
  7. I'm guessing McMurdo's been briefed by Toxic Jack on behalf of the various GreenCo shareholding block puppet masters regarding the latest line of propaganda drivel with which to attack. You can just sense that yesterday's brilliant news has ruined Hogmanay and New Years Day for quite a number of people!

    2015

Happy New Year to you all folks. 2015 is going to be a much better year for Rangers and for us all. I'm looking forward to Saturday at Ibrox. The weather might be terrible and the football might not be as good as we'd like to see, but hopefully yesterday's good ownership news and some renewed positivity brings in a much bigger crowd and a good atmosphere. All the best!
  9. Sorry TB, I actually forgot that you'd posted a backup prediction of "3-0 Rangers victory with Boyd for FGS" in the backup predictions thread. It wouldn't have got you any points on this occasion (Hibs game) right enough, so no big deal, but keep an eye on me if you forget again and same goes for everyone else!
  10. Does anyone know who bought and sold the 2 blocks of 1 million shares which were traded on 22 December?
  11. I know it's Hogmanay and the New Year is fast approaching, but if anyone fancies writing a match preview for the Dumbarton game on Saturday, please say so here, then go for it and post it in a new match thread any time between now and Friday evening.
  12. The Laxey shares were purchased in 3 separate blocks, 2 blocks of 5 million shares and a block of 3,299,415 shares, but it's hard to say at the moment who's actually putting their name to the purchases.
  13. Artemis? 9.95% It's being reported that the Park, Taylor & Letham consortium have bought Laxey's 16.32% plus George Taylor already owns 3.2% in his own name and Park & Letham will have their own personal shareholdings too, but under the 3% notifiable interest level. I'd be surprised if they could buy all of that Artemis holding and not be going above 30%.
  14. Interesting little slight of hand for WH Ireland to appoint the Adrian Hadden/Tim Feather team to our business, only for Feather to be replaced by Paul Shackleton.
  15. The 16.32% has only cost the consortium about £2.66 million, so the money going to Laxey is less than what our directors 'borrowed' from Ashley recently and frittered away in 2 months.

  17. They say a picture speaks a thousand words....... Rangers manager Kenny McDowall (Copyright: 2014 Willie Vass)
  18. That's the worrying thing because at a time when they should be going all out to get the fans back through the turnstiles, they appear to be doing the opposite. Promoting Kenny McDowall to manager & the Jigmeister to player coach were not popular calls to be making and selling Macleod will be unpopular too. I don't know what the folk running the Club's plan is, but it sure as shit doesn't involve listening to or pleasing the disgruntled and disenfranchised fans.
  19. I can see where you're coming from, but if they're going to use any money brought in from the sale of Macleod to hand out pay-offs, then I'm not convinced they'd target McCoist and his 12 month notice when they could just continue to make other staff redundancies on the cheap and cut the same amount of money (or more) from the monthly bills. Then there's the players who are out of contract at the end of the season and only due another 5 months wages. It might be better to target them with pay-off deals than McCoist because more money could probably be cut from the monthly bills for less outlay. Either way, it looks almost certain that more players than just Macleod will be sold or moved on where possible while they continue to carve up the staffing costs.
