Mols could still lace up his boots and play for us again too!

I was prompted by Firefox to update Flash on Friday night and then when I went to upload the images of the GPL results and standings tables to imgur on Sunday the Flash update had completely screwed imgur's image upload functionality. I immediately installed Chrome just to check if it worked in another browser and it worked straight away.

I'd imagine they'll try to sell out the lower tiers first, then open upper tiers for ticket sales one at a time as necessary. -
Following on from a point raised earlier today by JohnMc, I thought this question and related discussion deserved a new thread, so here goes.... The initial (and official) announcement from the Club regarding the Sports Direct deal and Rangers Retail JV ('joint venture') is here - Sports Direct Deal Confirmed A slightly more detailed description of the deal can be found in the RFC Prospectus from Dec 2012 which is here - AIM Admission Document The following is from section XIII 12.1.3 on page 108 of the prospectus PDF document: So between the initial announcement and the description of the deal in the IPO prospectus, there seems to be absolutely no mention of a time period for the Rangers Retail joint venture with Sports Direct to elapse or expire. Another very important question for anyone attending next week's AGM perhaps?

The Puma deal is a 5 year deal, but have a distinct feeling that the Rangers Retail 'JV' with SD is a business partnership weighted completely in SD's favour with no contract renewal date.

Funding in an investment sense or just loans directly tied to onerous retail, marketing and advertising deals? So far all he seems to have provided for Rangers is the latter just like he's done at Newcastle.

No, the type of skillful creative player who entertains us while racking up 5 goals and 9 or 10 assists in less than 20 appearances, most of which were from the subs bench.

Our team does need a similar type of player to Templeton who runs with the ball, dribbles and takes on opposition players, but we need one who keeps his head up, loses possession less often and creates more chances for the strikers. Basically we need a Weiss type player, but Templeton is a very very poor man's Weiss.

Some further info for anyone looking in: The most commonly used Ad blocker for Firefox is an Add-on/extension called Adblock Plus and it's very good, although it does completely stop the functionality of certain types of websites from working properly which basically forces you to 'whitelist' sites you visit which stop working for you due to Adblock Plus. Personally, I haven't used Adblock Plus for close to a couple of years because I found Ghostery which I think for most purposes works better. It's not a pop-up blocker, but it's excellent at blocking adverts, trackers, beacons and all sorts of unwanted crap. On a side note, has anyone else experienced any problems or issues caused by the recent Firefox and Flash updates? They seem to have completely bombed certain functionality on some sites. It'll almost certainly be the Flash update, since Flash updates have a habit of being bollocks.

Gattuso linked to succeed McCoist (Clarke joins Reading)
Zappa replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Dear doctor, we're being subjected to a month of madness before another month of madness. -
They'll still sell tens of thousands of shirts even if the match results are shocking because unlike ticket sales, shirt sales aren't directly aligned with results.

Of course he'll know plenty and that's what I was trying to say in my response to plgsarmy with regards to Gordon Smith because he'll know plenty too. Almost all of these guys telling us they 'know nothing' or 'knew nothing' aren't being 100% truthful IMO.

We've got more chance of landing Sandy Clark! At least his lad Nicky would get some deserved game time..........

Strange deal, good deal, bad deal?
-
I'm not sure what to make of the whole resignation thing because it seems as though there's definitely things going on that we're not fully aware of, but yet again it's clearly another shambles amongst the wider ongoing shambles at the Club. Assuming he does know a lot more than he lets on publicly, could Ally really blow the lid on what's going on (and been going on) though? With him having a shareholding himself and the numerous ongoing investigations and new court cases on the go, I'm not so sure if he could or would turn whistle blower unless directed to under oath in a courtroom.

Are you saying 49% of the Rangers shirt sponsorship cash from Puma goes to Sports Direct?
-
No big deal. I'd have replied earlier if I'd been online, but I spent all afternoon at my parents putting up and decorating a new Xmas tree for them.

I'm afraid I don't subscribe to the idea that Gordon Smith and other senior Club staff had no idea what was going on Christine. There's simply been too many leaks and Chinese whispers at the Club over these past few years to buy into such claims. Even if Gordon Smith (and other senior Club staff) had no idea what was going on initially, they should certainly have heard the very loud alarm bells ringing when John McClelland and John Greig resigned as directors in October 2011. Personally I've never believed for one minute that we heard the truth about who actually knew what.

When I read that comment earlier I didn't interpret it that Rangersitis was directly calling or referring to Smith as a cunt. Having said that, it would be appreciated if everyone could reign it in a bit with unnecessary use of foul language when referring to players, ex players, Club staff and ex Club staff because you're making our Admin and mod team's jobs more difficult than they need to be. Just use a bit of common sense and decency please folks.

It's crass in the extreme and quite hypocritical of Smith to ask for answers to questions publicly when he himself kept his mouth shut and no doubt lied about his knowledge of events during Whyte's regime in the run up to administration.

Ex-Rangers star Jamie Ness opens up on being Ibrox 'rebel'...
Zappa replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Ness is cracking player, but he was (and no doubt still is) far too injury prone, so it was unlikely to work out for him with us long term anyway.
