  1. Looks like Frankie's An Open Letter to Ally McCoist has started a wee trend!
  2. That's me just posted a brief GPL round-up plus the latest full results and standings tables following Friday night's dismal defeat at Palmerston. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?67349-Predictions-for-QotS-v-Rangers-SPFL-Championship-match-16-(GPL-game-26)&p=533538&viewfull=1#post533538
  3. It would certainly be very interesting to know!
  4. You said: Firstly, I'm not sure whether you meant it's a realistic ambition for the team, for the fans or both, but either way it's certainly not realistic. In fact it's verging on either being potty or taking the mickey because even before a ball was kicked competitively this season only nutcases or folk with their tongue in their cheek would have thought a domestic quadruple was realistic with this Rangers team. Where I would agree though, is that the players should certainly believe they can win games and competitions, but belief isn't enough on it's own. They also need to be well organised, battling, positive, high in spirit and have a winning mentality to man, all things which this bunch of chancers masquerading as a Rangers team seem to be short of.
  5. You didn't reply to me (at all), so I had no idea you had went back and edited it. If you had replied saying something like "I've edited it, point taken", then I would have known.
  6. I had already asked someone earlier to reign it in after they referred to Ally as a 'cunt', so it's ridiculous that you try to make out as if this is personal.
  7. It doesn't matter whether you think it's right or wrong, we won't be putting up with ex Gers players like Goram, Ally or any others getting abused on here. This is the last warning. A 24hr stint in the sin bin awaits anyone who ignores it.
  8. I doubt very much that his secretary being made redundant would prompt Ally's resignation, but things do all add up and if he's been told yesterday afternoon that certain players will be sold in January and a list of certain others will not be getting new contracts, then that could have been his breaking point.
  9. It will be very disappointing if it turns out that ex Daniel Stewart sp1vs are still dealing with the RIFC plc business.
  10. Last minute stuff with this one! If they hadn't sorted this out by end of business today the RIFC plc shares would probably have been suspended from the AIM.
  11. Something must have happened yesterday afternoon following the pre-match presser yesterday. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that there was a rumour Ally had a meeting Llambias and was told certain players were likely to be shipped out in the January window while a list of others whose contracts end in May/June weren't going to be offered new deals. Then there's Mark Dingwall's piece of info that Ally's secretary who's been with the club for 40 years was made redundant and left yesterday morning having been given only the minimum redundancy pay allowed by law.
  12. Starring out a couple of letters doesn't make referring to Ally as a 'cunt' any more acceptable here. Emotions are running high, but let's at least try to keep Gersnet's standards up.
  13. There's some really bloody awful cheap tat Gers t-shirts on the market and that is definitely one of them.
  14. Can't help wondering if Ally would also NOT be gagged/silenced if his resignation was accepted, so if they refuse it, then that could be the reason or at least one of them... Really shocked by the news!

  16. If the players all clubbed together and donated a week's wages each the Rangers staff could have an all expenses paid weekend away costing £100,000.
  17. In fairness, the story was leaked from one of the numerous leaky places in Ibrox.
  18. They have! http://www.shareprophets.com/index.php?q=Rangers&s=search
  19. The Scotsman have just published an article about this - http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/rangers-fan-group-launches-alternative-strip-1-3632267 Rangers fan group launches alternative strip A Rangers supporters group has launched an alternative home strip as they look to raise money to buy further shares in the Ibrox club. The Rangers Supporters Trust (RST) today announced that was launching the strip with all proceeds invested in shares with a view to buying influence in the boardroom. The new blue strip, priced just under £33, follows a red and black version previously released by the Trust. The move comes after it was revealed that the club made only £2,000 from its marketing deal with Sports Direct in the first half of this year which is heavily weighted in favour of owner Mike Ashley. The Newcastle owner has invested millions in the Ibrox club in recent years and now has representation on the club’s board through Derek Llambias. An RST spokesman said: “We have had an incredible response to this online already. All the profit from the shirts will be given to the RST. That means that around £10 from the sale of each shirt will go to purchasing Rangers shares and it is our intention that all these funds will go directly into the club via a new share issue, if this is approved at the AGM.” “We think this compares very favourably with the current retail deal and is a very effective way of supporting the club financially but with a view to giving the fans a much larger say in what goes on in the boardroom.” “We’ve already sold over a thousand red and black shirts and indications are that the blue shirt will overtake that in the run-up to Christmas.” The shirts are available from www.thelionbrand.co.uk and www.redandblackshirt.co.uk .
