He doesn't get picked in the CL games games against Celtic for a reason. I like Boyd, we need his goals but he's certainly not a messiah.
-
111 years old. Man, that's a crackin' innings especially when he survived two world wars.
-
Naismith had last season to prove his worth - he never! I don't put all the blame on him though. Last season he was nothing better than average.
-
Care to enlighten me what those games were?
-
I'm talking about the amount of games we'll play. Can the current bunch of players play on a Tuesday or Wednesday then again on the Saturday? If we finish 3rd in the CL group stages then we're into the Europa Cup which means playing on a Thursday and a Sunday. With the amount of games we could potentially play is our squad big anough to cope?

I know WS came out and said he was happy with the squad and wouldn't be signing anyone which I hope was just a cover-up as I feel we need a couple of new faces to improve the squad. We need to offload some deadwood first but it's seems increasingly unlikely we do that. Clubs bid for players but the players end up rejecting the contract offered to them. What's the chances of signing a player or 2 before unloading some players 1st? I don't think we've got a good enough squad to compete in the CL and domestically on a regular basis.

Loads. Papac is a legend in my eyes. His tackle/block at Tannadice during the last game of the season won us the league. Of course the goals helped too. Alexander, Weir, Boogie, Davis, Mendes, Boyd, Novo, Thomson. Personally, I feel there's to much deadwood at Ibrox at present.
-
If Dailly was still at our club and WS played him as a striker in his natural position, I'd vote for him. In all seriousness, I'll go for Boogie.
-
With players like McCulloch being deployed in the midfield area when our 1st team players get injured can you blame me for being a tad pessimistic? Our squad isn't strong enough to perform to a high standard in the CL.

So far, we've wasted £2m on Naismith. Kilmarnock saw us coming! How many goals did Naismith score for us last season and how many did McCormack score? We should've kept McCormack as Naismith hasn't really done much to justify the £2m we paid for him. I hope things turn good at Rangers for Naismith cause I think he is a good player. Like Cousin you mean? Or is Cousin going to Hull from Rangers different? Players want to play in the EPL, they want to earn mega-bucks and they want to play against the worlds best players week in week out. If the offer was there I'd I'd be very surprised if Lennon becomes a 1st team regular at Rangers.

I wonder if the jury were all Liverpool fans. Not shocked in the slightest.
-
I disagree for the reasons I've stated previously.

I think Edu was talking a good game. Whether or not it materialises is another matter.
-
I'm being realistic. We'll play 11 men behind the ball at home and struggle to score. Away from home I don't mind backs against the wall stuff as we'll, more often than not be the underdogs away from home but at home I'd like to see us go out and attack with a bit more flair and creativity. Mind you, if we struggle to do it against Hearts, Hibs etc etc we'll struggle against teams who are in the CL. If we play the way we did last season ie the high balls upto players who aren't that particularly great in the air we'll struggle. WS has to adapt our style of play. Unfortunately, he's not got the tactical skills to do so.

The thing that gets me about Ibra is that comes across as a moody player who sometimes does nothing during games. I remember watching the Sweden Denmark game a month or so ago and he was shocking. That said, I remember watching a Serie A game and Inter were 1-0 down at HT. Mourinho brings on Ibra at HT and he scores a quickfire double to win Inter the league. Both goals were brilliant. To inconsistent for me to rate him anywhere near the best players in the world at present.
-
Ibrahimovic is a class player but I reckon Eto'o shades it. Ibra scored a goal for Ajax where he beat about 7 players then cooly slotted the ball into the net. Fantastic.
-
Who'd he trying to kid?
-
When have I ever said that Rangers have ruined a players career: Who do you class as 'Rangers'? The chairman, the manager, the fans, the maintenance guys.....? If Naismith or Lennon are better than McCormack why aren't they in the higher reaches of the Championship or the EPL?
-
Plymouth are chasing oor Charlie now. They should catch the fat bastard easily!
-
Gallas is 10 at Arsenal which is strange. But he's a donkey!
-
I don't understand why Barca would sell Eto'o. He scored a shit load in La Liga last season. Strange!
-
You meant the world right?
-
McCulloch being at Rangers is concerning. McCulloch as a potential CB regular is ultra concerning. But hey, maybe he played there when he was 7 so he'll possibly be reverting back to his natural position. In about 9 seasons Danny Wilson will eventually reach single figures if he continues with the slow drop in numbers.

McCormack has just handed in a transfer request at Cardiff. Let's see how much he goes to Hull, who are interested or any other EPL team for that matter. I await with interest.
-
Surely Cardiff hold Celtic to a draw, no? Not that it matters anyway.
