The thing is though Calscot, Pana didn't have to be better than average because we never really troubled or tested them. We didn't force them onto the back foot for long periods of the game nor did we pressure them when they had the ball. They were happy with their average performance. I think we should play better than we play. I think both teams are evenly matched or thereabouts. We'll see how many goalscoring chances we create in the 2nd leg and how many they create.

But you have to agree that there were a lot of times Pana weren't even breaking sweat, there were times they strolled through parts of the game and there were times that we made it easy for them. Yes, we caused them a few problems, especially Novo but overall another disappointing performance. For me, the cons outweigh the pros.

We played well in spells but played absolutely murder in other, larger spells. I can only imagine what the FFers are posting tonight. That lot will be like a bunch of hungry pit bulls!!

If we play 1 upfront then Boyd isn't the man. If we play 2 upfront then Boyd MUST play. My opinion on Boyd hasn't changed regarding his inability to play the lone striker role, he's pish at it and so is McCulloch but when you're chasing a game and changing formation to play with 2 upfront then Boyd must always get a game.

Broadfoot was solid. He knows how to cross a ball. Cuellar was his usual standout self. Davis I'm 50/50 with. Did the hard thing far to often when the easier thing was on. Novo needs to lock himself in a room with McCoist to learn a thing or 5 about finishing. He got into some good positions though. McGregor nearly fucked it right up for us when he tried to palm away the cross ball. He made a good save after it to stop the abuse he'd have gotten if they scored. That's it.
