    The Taliban never fought the Russians, that was the Mujahideen (Multi-international insurgent groups) The Taliban came later after the Russian where forced out. The Mujahideen were back militarily by the American, Pakistan and China, the Taliban is made up of ex-Mujahideen Pashtun and many other Islamic fundamentalist organisations, they are believed to be financed by Pakistan, Iran and Saudia Arabia. The Taliban were also linked to Al-Queda.

    Unfortunately our club does not have a plethora of business men lining up to take control, two men are in the running King and McColl. King has said he will invest McColl as far as i know said he wont but will put in place people with the business acumen to run Rangers in a safe and proper business model. I'll take either of those two business ideas, we cant afford to be choosy ATM.

    What peace at any price? no thanks. We have taken a stand against the current board, it has then become supporter against supporter in various forums. I don't think there will be any "peace in our time" until the present incumbents are gone and someone with the financial clout and personality that can clear out the dead and rotten wood and then bring together the various factions in the support.

    I can sympathize with this view Davie, i am a believer in fan participation in owning our club. Outright ownership of the club by the support i think is beyond our ken for the foreseeable future, but we can contribute to the clubs well-being, through a membership scheme that provides the support with some measure of 'Quid Pro Quo' preferable a fans representative on the board. This representation could increase to two members being on the board after a few years of money from the membership scheme being used for the benefit of the club. We do substantially pay our way already as a support, but by digging a wee bit deeper the goal of outright ownership becomes just that little tiny wee bit closer imo.

    Agree, but when we resort to personal attacks on a pensioner who is a Bear then that debate is unworthy of the forum.

    English article is penned in such a way that wherever he fires his bile disguised as humour, he hits a target. Inference that Rangers fans are threatening, King is toxic, toxic Jack toxicity level has risen, Easdales are being manipulated etc. It leads the reader to think that Rangers and it's support need being dealt with by the various anti-Rangers establishment again. Or am i being to paranoid?

    If by that you mean Scotland? then i'm beginning to think so too, however England has a way to go yet before i would say that imho.

    I recently had a member of my family kidnapped for ransom in Nigeria by a mixed group of gangsters and religious fanatics, he was rescued by the Nigerian British trained ( and i suspect some British forces) anti-terrorist group. Some of the kidnappers were killed, but he was rescued unhurt and is now back with the family. Thank god someone has to stand up to terrorists to keep us safe., the British forces get my thanks and respects, as do Nurses and Doctors who also have to clear up after terrorist have done their dirty work.

    In a word 'MONEY'. When he was a billionaire business turnaround Specialist wanting to invest in Rangers, he looked the debonair charismatic entrepreneur. When he turned out to be a Street trader conman with holes in his shoes. he looked every bit a bong eyed slithering toe rag.
