  1. A competition we could do without, imo. Winning it maybe be nice particularly in the fashion we did last season but I'd rather see it scrapped. Don't see why a British cup couldn't be introduced as a replacement. It would bring a lot more money and generate more interest from all clubs.
  2. His first season was near blanked out by injury. He then got fit and played a pivotal role in our league winning campaign showing more athleticism than most of our squad. Last season was similar to his first. This season he's fit but hasn't showed the form he has done but it is early in the season and Miller, Naismith, Weiss and Greegs aside, no player has shown their true potential. Perhaps he'd be better with both Davis and Jig where he can free himself up to play to his strengths. Although that may not suit the team. We'll find that out in Europe.
  3. I can see where the OP's comments are coming from, however, the season has only just started and traditionally we're slow starters and in particular, we only ever get going in the second half of games. Our second half performances have been better. Hibs was our first decent test and we came threw it with some good football in the last 20 minutes. United, after Hamilton, is our next big test and by then the season will be five games old and I'll expect us to be sharper.
  4. Edu, I've seen more from him in his fleeting appearances than 3 years of Jig been a regular fixture in the side. Box to box midfielder with bags of potential. However, Edu has started the season slowly and needs to up his game.
  5. He already has a better attitude. Ability wise I expect him to be better.
  6. Both are linked! Accounting maybe a bookkeeping exercise but financial analysis uses the figures from accounting for various means. Like I said before - we will wait for the accounts to be published to see if the club is going in the right direction. Rumour: the debt has been cut substantially. Fact: We weren't buying players for two years now we are. Unless Murray has went back to his old ways and is letting the club spend money we don't have, there has to be something in the rumour about substantial cuts?
  7. Tell all the tims you know Inverness is as far as you'll go, you'll no need yer shades, yer buckets or spades, you'll just need yer sleds for the snow!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Loyal my arse. Fooking glory hunters who only follow when winning. Attendances prove that. We're cheering tonight lol lol
  9. Good start: (600 Members · 1215 Guests · 4 Anonymous) :robbo: I'll post more
  10. Useless twats! No tims in Europe, oh they'll be no tims in Europe.
  11. There goes hope of our co-efficiency improving.
  12. We're in debt to the tune of £31 million. From the noises that has came out of Ibrox and going by media reports, the club has cut the debt since then. More CL money should make further cuts. No expert in accounting but it doesn't make good reading although the club is making efforts to rectify the financial situation.
  13. Bursaspor whilst I'm away on holiday. Checked Bluenosebars.com for the nearest Gers pub and it's 44 miles away!
  14. Tougher draw than last years that could see us royally pumped again. A trip to Valencia late Autumn would be great - so I'm hoping for the away game to be in late October early November.
  15. When the accounts are published later in the year we will see where we are going.
  16. Marketing executives too.
  17. I suppose that's like saying "my glass is half empty" rather than "my glass is half full"! I feel the board can improve without Murray's interference. Yeah, I know, Murray is a control freak. Investment is required along with a change of owner, however, there's been better vibes coming from Ibrox of late and maybe I am being naive, but I do feel we're on the right track. I will concede though, that the track is long with many twists and turns which needs negotiated before we're stable again.
  18. Worst group travelling bears could have got.
  19. Captain obvious! I'm sure we'll see him at some point on Saturday - with a rousing reception when enters the field of play.
  20. Great stuff! All we need now is for him to produce the goods for us which I am certain he will.
  21. Good to see it created some debate, Lads. The Muir perspective came from the necessity for someone to push the board to make wholesale changes that will see us service our debt. I actually believe that to a certain extent, all involved at Rangers pulled together in a siege like mentality when Muir came in. He wasn't popular from the board down (probably sill isn't). However, the club needed it. Walter's success along with major cost cutting has married up well with each other even if it didn't seem like it at the time. Long way to go but I do believe we are on the right track for the first time in a very long time. Furthermore, the orcs have done well from a business perspective in recent years but their board don't seem as football minded as ours. I feel that might have a crippling effect on them. Their decision to hire monkeyheid then Lennon is proof of that, IMO. Edit: Cheers for publishing, Frankie!
  22. If nobody minds, I will do the United match.
