  1. More than likely that will be a YES as well MB, I'll let you know when I've got all replies, thanks.
  2. According to google maps that would be 2.0M v 1.8M and 40mins v 36mins and might also depend on whether or not you walk directly past the bar or not.
  3. This is your best route then, though note it is almost 2M. This is the way I usually go back to pick up my car in Pollokshields. Ibrox Stadium 150 Edmiston Dr, Glasgow G51 2XD, United Kingdom Head south toward Edmiston Dr/A8 10 ft Turn left onto Edmiston Dr/A8 0.4 mi Turn right onto Carillon Rd 351 ft Turn left onto Clifford St 305 ft Turn right onto Kirkwood St 404 ft Turn right onto National Cycle Rte 7 (over the bridge) 0.1 mi Turn left onto Gower Terrace 331 ft Turn right onto Gower St 0.1 mi At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Maxwell Dr 0.4 mi Turn left onto St. Andrews Dr Destination will be on the right 0.5 mi Malaga Tapas 213-215 St Andrew's Rd, Glasgow G41 1PD, United Kingdom
  4. What I find totally unacceptable is not just losing to Alloa from a winning position with 26 minutes to go but the fact that we have now played this part-time team 3 times in less than 10 weeks and not managed to beat them once. Liam Buchanan who managed one full season with Dunfermline in the SPL and particularly Ryan McCord who couldn't get a game for Dundee Utd have been outstanding against our team of highly experienced, mostly International footballers, so whose fault is that then? The players the manager or both? As Barry Smith said last night his team is full of spirit and fight to the end. Last night's abysmal collapse showed quite clearly that our team has neither spirit nor fight. The manager has no idea what he is doing and most of the players are not fit to wear the jersey.
  5. "I'm just really, really disappointed that we couldn't hold on to our two-nil lead. "We had a good talk at half time and we got the perfect reaction with the first goal and a great second goal from Shielsy. "But the really disappointing thing is that we never saw the game out from that position because it was a great position to be in and a very comfortable position to be in. "A lack of professionalism and switching off at two or three cross balls cost us massively and it's just a massive disappointment. "The marking at the three goals was extremely poor and at the same time we let deliveries come into the box and we never got close to the crossers of the ball. "So in all aspects of all the goals we are extremely disappointed. “Obviously I registered my disappointment, which was extreme, and they know we'll have to sit down and look at that last 20 or 30 minutes or so which we will do. It won't be pleasant watching but we have to do it. "We now have another massive game against Cowdenbeath on Saturday and we have to bounce back with a victory in the league, there's absolutely no doubt about that. "The disappointing thing is that after coming off a fantastic performance and result against Kilmarnock we then come here and from a comfortable position we let it slip. "That's a problem, the lack of consistency in the level of performance is a real concern and a real worry. We go from Sunday, which was a fantastic performance and result, to switching off after being 2-0 up here. So that is a real worry and a concern." (A McCoist) REALLY EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING THEN
  6. MESSAGE FOR FS - YOUR MAILBOX IS FULL Your suggestion may be helpful but I don't see the need to go on to the M8; Dumbreck to Nithsdale Road, then St Andrews Dr is opposite to the traffic flow and should only be 10 mins max. I'll liaise once I know how many need transport, I've sent out texts as well as posting on the thread. Thanks
  7. You may have along wait at Ibrox if you plan to get the subway TO Malaga, I was thinking about those (not going to the match and) coming from or returning to the town. Once I get replies to my texts, I'll know what we need overall in terms of transport. Christine still has two places in her car but best if you guys stick together, so leave it just yet.
  8. I have been quoted £45 for an 8 seat mini bus for the short trip, not a surprise realty as it's hardly worth their while; so taxis look like the order of the day for those not able to catch a ride. Last time we met outside the Day - Today (blue) shop 244 PAISLEY ROAD WEST at the junction of Edmiston Drive & Whitefield St, which would be the plan again although the best route to avoid the traffic is probably back via Dumbreck, Nithsdale Rd and St Andrews Dr or Shields Rd rather than the much shorter PRW/ Seaward St/Shields route that took for ever. Could all those who will require transport please post here. I am sending texts as well. For those not familiar with the area Malaga Tapas is a 7 min (0.4M) walk straight along Shields Rd from the Underground Station of that name.
  9. Yes, I think that might be helpful but I am seeing if I can get a mini bus & driver just in case. Alternatively looks like we might just need two taxis.
  10. We had some difficulty with taxis last time, so I was thinking about a small mini bus, but in any event could all those requiring transport from Ibrox post here or PM. I assume Frankie has a full car so with Christine and FS with DS that would be 10 taken care off.
  11. 01/12/2014 INTEREST PAID NET FOR PERIOD 3NOV/30NOV £0.09 LESS TAX £0.01 £0.08 Balance £394.74
  12. I am pretty sure he keeps various whites in the wine fridge but if that is an order I'll see if he has that or similar white rioja; I am red man myself
  13. Bit late Johnny but let's see now: The chicken suggestions are helpul as these are the first from anyone. The Morcilla Española and the Chorizo frito al vino tinto seem to be popular choices so they will be there but that might limit some of the your other selections, although I would like to have the beef, Giso de Ternera. The albondigas (meat balls) were on last time and always a popular choice but perhaps we should be a bit more adventurous? We will almost certainly have the patatas bravas and I agree we should have one more vegetarian choice but I was thinking about the Queso de Cabra Fundido (goat's cheese) or the Pisto Manchego rather than the egg dishes Huevos a la Flamenca or Tortilla Española which again is not very adventurous. Thanks again for these suggestions. I know three things. We cannnot accommodate everyone's full selections but I doubt there will be any disappointments and no one will go hungry. Subject to final discussion with Cristobal I will be aiming for two selections from each of the 4 categories; I'll post the final menu here later in the week.
  14. I wouldn't use the word "bitter" but I am most certainly sickened by the way I have been treated by the Club I love and have supported most of my life.
  15. It is utterly ridiculous that Rangers have not yet announced the full results of the RFB Office Bearers Election. This is not private or confidential information; it should have been made public at the first opportunity. In most any other election the results would have be announced immediately after the count. Failing to declare the results immediately can only lead to unnecessary suspicion and speculation. Rangers could and should have posted the full results around 7.00pm last Wednesday or at the very latest first thing on Thursday morning. The Election preceded the Meeting, so whilst the results might be included in the Minutes for completeness, strictly speaking they are not part of the Minutes of the Meeting; so there should be no need to wait for the Minutes to be published to announce the results. The Board members have been gagged and those I have spoken to are rightly concerned that if they spill the beans the same fate might befall them as befell me. Fortunately, however, I have other sources. So in addition to Gary Gillan being elected unopposed (by me or anyone else) as Secretary; I can now reveal that Tom Clements comfortably defeated Alan Fraser for Chair and Christine Murdoch won the 3-horse race for Vice Chair by a short head from Zia Islam and William Gillan.
  16. I think we can accommodaste most if not all of those choices, BD; certainly as already mentioned Pescado en Adobe is a favourite and MB also mentioned Morcilla Española. We will need to be careful not to overload the fish dishes as there a few folk who don't eat fish and it's a bit surprsing that no one has suggested any of the chicken tapas but I'll take care of that. Crisobal's pata bravas were going to be there for sure. Hasta la vista.
  17. Yes I'm aware they are placing clients elsewhere but not 100% sure that Rangers wouldn't have made a move in any event. However, I think we will come out of it with much higher quality advisers.
  18. I understand that Rangers are currently in discussion with a high quality corporate and institutional stockbroking group who specialise in company fund raising. Expect an early announcement but if not then the directors might welcome a short term share suspension as this would bring price stability during the volatile period of the AGM and any fund raising exercise.
