  1. If you're pointing the finger at the SFA for almost certainly enforcing their Rules if it comes to it now when they didn't do it before, then I think that's a bit rich, GS.
  2. And a certain South African businessman steps in and buys it for a song, think about it.
  3. No difficulty agreeing with all of that except the notion that I can afford it, just a poor pensioner with an 11-year old car and a bus pass, who doesn't yet qualify for a discount from Rangers (or most other clubs), that's me.
  4. From what I read on here, poor football/ inept management team are driving far more fans away than any concerns about ownership of the Club. At the end of the day, do the fans really care about who sits in the boardroom, so long as there is a winning team on the park playing decent football? Ultimately, however, it's winning that counts, witness the 2008 UEFA Cup run, apart from a couple of the away games we played mind numbingly dreadful football; but who wouldn't have taken a win in Manchester?
  5. I don't think that's a fair analogy Andy, although I agree that only selling 29,000/30,000 tickets was poor especially after all the noise we made about the stupid request from DU. However it is normal for us to sell more ST's than cup tie tickets, just look at the numbers for European home games for example. Anyway, Nostra who? The World and Rangers have gone on beyond 2012!!
  6. Hope you enjoyed the view!
  7. I'd say it's a tough call between Martinez and Rodgers, certainly Rodgers is the "most improved" from having looked out of his depth early on but Martinez has produced a real team who were streets ahead of Arsenal last week. Martinez had a tough act to follow in terms of recent history but Rodgers has had to do it in the shadow of a long long line of top managers at Liverpool. If he wins the title he has to get it.
  8. The disastrous second half tactical change after rightly taking off Naismith at half time in Maribor and playing Bougherra in Malmo (despite all the injuries) cost this Club millions of pounds not to mention a severe loss of European credibility. Whilst a great deal of our financial problems can be traced back to Kaunas (where Walter Smith left a certain BH on the bench in favour of Christian Dailly) and not forgetting for one moment the parts played by the various personalities involved at Board level, Malmo was a disaster for us financially but we had the chance of some redemption in Maribor and lost to what was essentially an amateur team. Neither the two of them managed more than one point in their respective group stages.
  9. The easiest way would be to set up the account on your online banking but if that's too much of a hassle or you don't use online banking then yes you should be able to do that in RBS or any bank where you are a customer, in the same way as you can pay any other bill. They should be able to debit your RBS account for the £18 (or they may ask you to hand over cash) and send it to the Barclays account if you print off or copy the account details from my PM. They'll ask you for a reference to quote and use RANGERRAB for that purpose. Any problems just let me know. Thanks.
  10. And the directors will tell them to piss off and don't be so bloody stupid. Security over assets with book value circa £50 million for a million pound loan even if it was a loan which it isn't, not a chance. The directors will say, no pay no ST's, end of story. Doubt they'll get more than a few hundred zealots to pay in anyway.
  11. Don't take my word for it or G Wallace (actually I think it's Mr Somers you are referring to but anyway) Dave King says it's true "It is common cause that the club is not a going concern without access to the season ticket loan from the fans." As did the auditors. Of course it is not a loan; but other than that Mr King is correct, so who is blackmailing who and for what purpose?
  12. Sorry, SBS, I really meant Law and have amended that post; but added comment about Daly.
  13. Wallace has made it clear he would not have signed for Notts Forest or anyone else for that matter. Though perhaps Real or Barca might persuade him otherwise.
  14. I'm sure Eck would find that very comforting!
  15. Sent you a PM Rab with bank details. There should be an indicator beside your name at the top of your page. As it's two weeks to go, I need the full £18 at this stage; everyone paid that up front anyway. Good to have you along.
  16. Me too; dug in well time after time, winning the ball against 2 and 3 opponents at a time; but needs to pass the ball off to someone else who has the quality to make a killer pass, unfortunately something we don't have. Aird hasn't had a full season in the first team yet, he can make goals with crosses from the right and score goals coming in from the left. Give him a bit more time and some proper coaching and he could be star of the future. He has often reminded me of Alex Scott. Unlike Willie Henderson, Alex Scott didn't beat many opponents but he was a devastatingly effective player. Law seems to go further backward every time I see him. He was a standout for the first 3 months of the season, then nada. Daly is so one dimensional it's not true. He heads some great goals but can do little or nothing else; posed no threat at all to DU today. Must have been embarrassed about his performance against his old club.
  17. Should be sacked immediately for breach of contract, true or not he shouldn't be going about mouthing off like that.
  18. Any half decent football manager with respect for himself and the fans would have cancelled the party never mind singing karaoke.
  19. You could argue that the police and stewards should be able stop anyone taking a flare into he ground; but that's a bit like saying that no terrorist ashould ever be able to get on a plane; you can never be 100% certain. However, I do know that the cameras at Ibrox can pinpoint any individual in the ground; so it's my case that there will be a few knocks on a few doors in Dundee in the not too distant future.
  20. A bit like Oscar Pistorius perhaps. I'll be interested in his answer.
  21. I have raised issues about the current Board e.g. at least three faux pas by Mr Wallace and the fact that it is not obvious that any cost cutting has yet been undertaken. There is no need to wait for the outcome of the review to take action to curb costs when we are haemorrhaging money hand over fist.
