  1. How will we know if we are in Europe next season after the Cup Semi Final? Does Warburton not know that we have to WIN the cup to qualify for Europe?
  2. Weir has had one attempt at being a manager and failed miserably. If Warburton goes I'd rather he went with him and proved he could succeed as a manager elsewhere before he might be considered as a possible Rangers manager.
  3. Why can't a new manager have a new system?
  4. That was a neat link with the auto cue but why didn't you just say it is a Hypertext Preprocessor) a widely-used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML. Then all would be completely clear By the way if it's the same stuff that KM is on, can I get some and do you need a prescription?
  5. Nice goal on a bad surface. AIRDRIEONIANS V AIRDRIEONIANS?
  6. Apparently the population of Peterhead is just over 18,000 but some of them will miss the match Peterhead residents 10 times more likely to end up in prison than those from Ellon https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/aberdeenshire/542105/postcode-lottery-prison-population-hits-youngsters/
  7. What is PHP?
  8. Yes I understand, but you would think that at the highest level there is more of a case for "leave to appeal" being heard by a different panel. Then you would have a jury of their peers so to speak ruling on whether or not an appeal should be allowed against their decision and then the Supreme Court making the ulitimate decision.
  9. I'm sorry RAB but there is absolutely no chance whasoever of us bringing a successful case against those that made that decision because they will argue rightly that they made their decision based on the rules in place at the time, the facts or evidence presented to them and the legal advice that they (no doubt) obtained. In order to succeed we would have to show that they failed to act in good faith, contrary to the above; and I would suggest that that would be well nigh impossible. And even if we were to succeed in such an action what would we gain other than satisfaction and further lining the lawyers' pockets? We can't replay the last 4 years and will be back in the SPL on our own merits anyway. Any financial award would most likely bankrupt the SFA/SPL and/or the Clubs involved and what's the point of that? Although not directly related, finally winning the BTC at the Supreme Court combined with the "no sporting advantage" ruling gives us immense satisfaction and whilst the bitterness will always be there, we weren't entirely innocent and IMO we should move on and upwards and not waste any more injury on the past that cannot be rectified.
  10. Yep, not sure if they have cash n carry's in Peru unless it's for drugs up your j.....; I'll look out for Lidl though. On second thoughts maybe there's a TeSCO in CuSCO?
  11. I'm not so sure. Whilst judges sitting in judgement on themselves appears strange to say the least it seems undeniable "that the appeal raises an arguable point of law of general public importance which ought to be considered by the Supreme Court", namely is the application of common sense more important than strict application of the law. So I think the judges would look extremely foolish if they did not allow the appeal to be made in fact they might even welcome it as failure would provide justification for their decision and success would provide higher authority for future such cases. Edit: posted the above before I read that leave to appeal had been granted.
  12. Anyone know if there's a Rangers bar in Cusco
  13. Not even Lee Wallace or the rejuvenated Kenny Miller?
  14. If McKay and Wallace are called up then they are definitely key players that we would miss, more so Wallace because we don't have any cover in his position; but I wouldn't call Dean Shiels a key player as he's only started one league game this year and whilst he is always a used sub his game time has been between 13 and 30 mins averaging about 27 mins per game. However, if it's those three then yes the game will be postponed.
  15. I think the best example is actually Fiorentina who went bust in 2001 but rose again and 7 years later played us in the semi final of the UEFA Cup. The year 2001 heralded major changes for Fiorentina, as the terrible state of the club's finances was revealed: they were unable to pay wages and had debts of around US$50 million. The club's owner, Vittorio Cecchi Gori, was able to raise some more money,[citation needed] but even this soon proved to be insufficient resources to sustain the club. Fiorentina were relegated at the end of the 2001–02 season and went into judicially-controlled administration in June 2002. This form of bankruptcy (sports companies cannot exactly fail in this way in Italy, but they can suffer a similar procedure) meant that the club was refused a place in Serie B for the 2002–03 season, and as a result effectively ceased to exist. The club was promptly re-established in August 2002 as Associazione Calcio Fiorentina e Florentia Viola with shoe and leather entrepreneur Diego Della Valle as new owner and the club was admitted into Serie C2, the fourth tier of Italian football. The only player to remain at the club in its new incarnation was Angelo Di Livio, whose commitment to club's cause further endeared him to the fans. Helped by Di Livio and 30-goal striker Christian Riganò, the club won its Serie C2 group with considerable ease, which would normally have led to a promotion to Serie C1. Due to the bizarre Caso Catania (Catania Case), however, the club skipped Serie C1 and was admitted into Serie B, something that was only made possible by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC)'s decision to resolve the Catania situation by increasing the number of teams in Serie B from 20 to 24 and promoting Fiorentina for "sports merits."[5] In the 2003 off-season, the club also bought back the right to use the Fiorentina name and the famous shirt design, and re-incorporated itself as ACF Fiorentina. The club finished the 2003–04 season in sixth place and won the playoff against Perugia to return to top-flight football. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACF_Fiorentina If you look at the UEFA site they are listed as one Club continuously despite the above. They have a picture of Fiorentina winning their last major trophy, the Coppa Italia, in 2001 then their record. 16. Who would be involved, at the risk of getting in trouble, we wouldn't miss Zelalem if he's on US duty and Aird's away?
  17. I don't think we'll be claiming it until it's mathematically impossible for Hibs to get more points, so 83 will be the target and if the QoS game is postponed then that might make Easter Rd on the 19th the decider. That said it's hard to see Hibs winning all their games, so it may over long before then.
  18. You must come again soon, obviously you brought us more than just a little good luck. Glad you had a good and successful trip.
  19. Do you think my insurers will accept the Petrofac Cup Final on the 10th and SC semi final v Celtic on the 16th/17th as a valid excuse to cancel my trip to Peru?
  20. They obviously underestimated us then because they were just not set up that way. They rested their three strikers at Parkead presumably to have them fresh to attack us not to park the bus
  21. It's the worst possible draw from Celtic's perspective as they are on a hiding to nothing and it's the best possible draw for us for all the reasons stated by Anchorman.
  22. I don't think it did. Dundee had the confidence to come and attack us with three up and oftentimes four. They didn't deviate from that all day long.
  23. Looking at the video again it seems a very harsh booking indeed, though the referee might be just about covered by the rules because it was a long run behind the goals to the Rangers fans but he did turn back quickly. I think in the old days the caution would have been rescinded on appeal but then again in the old days there is no way you would have been booked for that. The referee failed to apply the 18th Law of the Game yesterday, "common sense".
  24. He stated "“Two boys will be on the bench on Saturday. They have deserved it and if we have to call upon them then I have no hesitation using them.” http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/i-can-call-youth/ But perhaps Zelalem was still injured or suffered a recurrence which is why there were three?
