  1. Ideally we would do a deal with Brentford to bring Macleod back with Law going the other way. Or we should sell Law and use the funds to buy MacLeod back. The overhaul at the club this summer should be massive. The previous regime both on and off the park set us back a few years but its all about moving on now. We need players with fight and the ability who are worthy of pulling on the shirt. Id like to see us try bring back Macleod and also Allan Mcgregor. I know he was one who left under a cloud but he was a top class keeper at the time and shouldn't have been playing bottom tier football anyway. he is having a horrid time at an awful Hull team. I wonder if we could snap him up on the cheap and do a deal with him should Hull get relegated (which I think they will).
  2. Its the first time ive seen Boyd recently. When he tried to jog onto the pitch he looked like his profession should be on the oche throwing darts. Awful condition for a professional footballer.
  3. What was your user name before you changed it? That has been making my pull my hair out today.
  4. One defeat and the McCall isn't the man comments are brought up again, however I am in agreement with the OP that we should be aiming a far better pedigree of manager. A lot will depend on promotion or not. The front runners and riders will be named in due course when and if it becomes available. I do think McCall will get the gig if he gets us promotion but I agree with Selmy that long term he is nowhere near. I think McCall would be a very good option for an assistant manager as he likes to work on the training field.
  5. I don't really understand your question. but I thought Wigan were an eyesore in the Premier league.
  6. I'll put the 3-0 defeat down to Jig warning the back 4 to have a bad game last night so he gets back in the team
  7. Id still say yes. The team showed they can raise the game for when it matters against Hibs and Hearts. But 2nd place would be far more comfortable to have less play off games. A mass overhaul is needed in the summer regardless. There can be no sentiment for players who play a part in getting us promotion.
  8. Would love him back at Ibrox but if not Id rather see him playing in the Premier League or Bundesliga.
  9. If the defence plays well in the next few games while McCulloch is out then he walks back into the team then he obviously does have a clause in his contract. It would be really disappointing if he walks back in the team unless its for footballing reasons. The last bit of the article - we shouldn't be looking at who we could potentially be playing in a play off, we have to reach the final first which wont be easy as if its Hibs they will 100% be better prepared than the game last month. First we just need to take care of our job then worry about Motherwell, Ross County or Partick.
  10. And they are saying its a long term appointment and are impressed with his qualities. Wigan are going down and wont be back up to the Premier League in a long time which is good news.
  11. Couple of other goals that are way better than Adams. There are other great goals from Yeboah, Hasselbaink, Zola, Bergkamp, Henry, Shearer, Le Tissier, Ginola that all beat Adams. The over reaction to say this is the best Premier League goal scored is nuts. They are still talking about it on Tv here and on talksport. 12. How long is his contract at Newcastle for?
  13. During the weekend Adam's goal was probably 4th best out of 5 goals. Sanchez v Liverpool Zamora v West Brom Defoe v Newcastle Adam v Chelsea Rooney v Villa
  14. I admit to saying it was an underwhelming appointment at the time and long term would hope for a better appointment, but in the meantime he gets his chance and has got off to a good start. Yet its still very early. So far so good yet that was always going to happen for 2 reasons. 1) impossible not to improve on what we had prior and 2) A new manager always brings a lift.
  15. Its probably just that we have an actual coach in charge of team affairs. McCall is earning himself the chance to take the job next season.
  16. Agree, thats 3 goals that blow Adam' strike away. If you go back Ginola and Kinkladze had better goals and there is probably 100 more.
  17. That was after Arsenal should have been 2 up. Ramsays powderpuff effort was poor. Cazorla is a class act. Wenger has a headache now that the squad is nearing full fitness. The list of midfielders is incredible. Not sure why Arteta, Rosicky (34) and Diaby are being offered new deals. 2 of them plus Flamini should be moved on for Schneiderlin / Khedira and Pedro or Draxler. Throw in Cech and sell Szecezny then Arsenal will challenge next season.
  18. If he is a Premier League standard player then all it confirms is that that league is over rated. He has flashes of hollywood passes and shows a bit of skill at times but overall is not exactly a world beater. His goal just showed good awareness and a good hit....I never see how long range hits are classed as great goals, its something you can do in the park and more shows good awareness of the game than skill. Arsenals 3rd yesterday beats it for me.
  19. That looks good and should have been done earlier. To be honest this is what should have originally be done rather than the renaming of the Govan Stand.
  20. Still sticks on page 1 with IE. Tried it on my phone and can view the thread fully.
  21. I was in KL earlier this month and there was a huge Sports direct with signboards about 30m wide and 10m high. I went into the store, not even a Rangers key ring on sale yet there was Arsenal merchandise.
  22. I noted there is 4 pages to this thread but I can only access the first page. When clicking on next or 2,3,4 it redirects to page 1. Ive seen this a few times....is it the same for everyone?
  23. Crooks! That's all you can say to the arrangement of the Newcastle deal. Just added interest to Ashley's loan. It was a footballing decision not even made by a footballing member of RFC.
  24. That's quite an amazing fact that no Scotland player has hit a hattrick for 46 years considering we have had San Marino etc in qualifiers and we went to 5 world cups in a row. First and foremost we get the game won then start to think about goals. Anything less than 5 would be poor. I remember going to rangers cup tie against Keith in 1996 and said minimum 5 should be scored but we put 10 past them so we should be getting 6 or 7. Results against Gibraltar won't count for in the table at the end but goal difference might.
