Id say we are 2 good players away from having the 2nd best team in the country. I think we all know its going to take a few years to catch up with Celtic but the rest of the SPL are in sight. Now it comes back to how we perform and how the manager gets us playing. Could a better manager get more out of the players? We'll see this season. Id like to think we'll have a go at the cups but the draw has to be kind to us. I dont fancy early away games to SPL sides. Our team will need time to gel. On a one off game v Celtic if it was at Ibrox Id half fancy our chances. If it was away then I think we could get a bit of a hammering at the moment. Dont know about other bears but I still dont want to draw certain SPL sides in the cup. Part of me is ashamed to say Im still bitter towards them as I dont believe in being bitter, plus we are funding the SFA. But Its more the case of teams like Aberdeen and Dundee Utd are praying to draw us in the cup....these very teams who cant stand us. They cant live with us and they cant live without. When I was back in UK last week my Aberdeen supporting mates were saying they are dreaming of getting us in the cup at home. Playing good football and winning the league is what I want this season. If we knock a few SPL sides out the cups on the way then its a bonus. I do think the old sticky balls will be used and an Old Firm Cup clash will be on the cards.

7 years ago Id have matched you word for word. Now...the sooner the public realise that politics is for public show only and nothing to do with what goes on behind the scenes the better. Its quite funny how so many will shout "haha tin hat conspiracy theorist" yet having their balls ripped off them at the same time plus judging it from the mainstream...the very company they are funding with TV license. How fucked up can the world get??

Read patches of this thread but Im about to start another threat in bluenose lounge about the problems in society.
-
There ground holds 1200, if they met that on a weekly basis they'd make the news and be up the leagues. They will sell 458 tickets and we'll fill out the rest. Makes you wonder, if mhanks do purchase tickets, we should have set a boycott for all away matches for 3 years!!!
-
Great, so nobody watching the game then
-
Im jumping on your back with that one Craig....expecting an all gungho season and rightly so. As previously discussed, no excuses....time to send a message out to the rest.
-
Good! A club that will only welcome us. And my Mum is from there.! Hamilton and Dunfermline
-
I guess they will be wanting 8900 bears to fund their season!
-
Hamilton away wouldnt surprise me to fund their outspoken chairman. This really was our cup tournament especially in the 80s and 90s when it was a cracking cup tournament and worth something. I was looking at the stats of this yesterday, we played in 11 finals in 13 years at one point winning 9 of them. And in my lifetime since 1980 we've been in 20 finals winning 17 of them. Amazing stats.

It would be good to get a settled centre half partnership rather than moving McCulloch in their. The thought of make shift defence of Daly and McCulloch at times would be worrying. Zaliukas or Berra would have been good as they are well equipped and experienced for the SPL so would have cruised Div 2.
-
The other option is for TV to use the Govan then we cant see them tucked in the corner.
-
West enclosure would keep them out of sight.
-
Sadly I dont think Gazza can be saved. His last chance was probably in Arizona recently.
-
Its a good idea that I havent thought about. As to where you put them, thats another thing. Having them in the lower Broomloan towards the West Enclosure might be better where away fans used to go
-
Hahaha must have been so obvious watching it
-
Same for me as Calscot, the only games I could see were online with not the best quality so recognising players took some time. It will be the same this season. What does help is the facial icons on here for when picking teams on previews.
-
I think Berra would be an ideal signing. He is above the average standard for an SPL player and improves what we have already.

Neil Doncaster: Nine-year TV contract shows I am the real deal
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
This make Alan Pardews 8 year contract seen sane. He was given the job 12 hours after his interview but was already booked on a flight to Italy at 4am the next day...just confirmed that it was a fix all along. -
Embarrassing. Appoint a man who is proved to be incompetent in the same role. The only difference this season will be Doncaster is no running 42 clubs rather than 12.
-
Really hope we get Berra. A natural centre half who is tried and trusted. He isnt Richard Gough but will certainly be more than sufficent for the next 3 years.
-
Fantastic player, very under rated. Played in a team of superstars so didnt get the glamour he should have. Now whether he can be a top coach....
-
Gascoigne isnt on it yet if it was on footballing ability he'd be ahead of other English players.

Done and put Brazil down as the current Confed Cup holders given that the final is tonight and I think they will pip Spain.
-
Brazil and Spain have only met once in 23 years, it was in a 0-0 friendly in 1999. Its a pretty mouth watering tie. Confed Cup has always been a decent watch since 1997 in France when Bobby Carlos hit that free kick.

This should be worth a watch! Potential World Cup Final next summer. Both squads are strong and have taken the tournament serious albeit not in top gear, but there is bragging rights and psychologial advantages at stake. Italy did well against Spain in the semi to hold them to a 0-0, seems the Italians are building a strong squad for next summer and have improved on the Euro Final last year. Uruguay are struggling in the qualifying section but should make it and will be a good side next year. Throw in Argentina, Germany and Holland and we are due a good World Cup.
