  1. I rather hope our legal department would be more active. E.g. the possible sanction by Clare Whyte regarding the throat-cut thing. It was clear what it meant, so how can it be judged as the diametrical opposite? Then again, as we have seen with the antics of Lennon and Brown right in front of the Rangers support, the CO`s views of things seems to be warped anyway. BTW, why cancel games if we or others would only send but 1 or 2 players?
  2. ... though you wish at times we`d drop the 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 and go with two strikers against the brickwall brigade, who rarely threatens. Far to often the ball runs loose around the penalty spot or in front of goals and no McCoist-like predator in sight. Holt ran into that space a few years back quite often, Arfield and Aribo as attacking MF less so. The system is also the reason why the likes of Waghorn, Garner, Cummings and even Herrera never got going. And IMHO, it was not exactlythe case of players not adapting to the tactics, but more of the tactics not being effective in certain games ... essentially 9 out of 11. Just MHO, of course. This season, we have better quality folk, but we still need some fine-tuning.
  3. First time I saw Leon King ... has he extended his stay with us?
  4. Very extensive highlights of the game ...
  5. We lost the first game 0-3 vs Rapid, who are and were quite good. Livestream via the MCBFC HP: https://www.kicker.de/1000002048418/video/live-im-stream-u-19-elite-beim-mercedes-benz-juniorcup Next Rangers game 3.13 British time.
  6. I would assume that Ashley / SD and any Newcastke transfer dealings are a different kettle, even though Ashley finances the club. Money such as that will essentially leave the decision with the player (or any player, for that matter), as business-wise we probably cannot afford to turn that down. At least in a position where we have cover. I know that some will disagree and say that we might earn much more if we get 55 and/or sell anyone in the summer, but it usually doesn't work that way or is as simple as that. So I would assume that we are braced for bids and have contingency plans ready. As for Allan ... dunno. We have Stewart who can play such passes and be inventive himself ... if we would use him more regularly. Saying that, I haven't seen much of Allan lately ... and even in games against us.
  7. Rangers Womens’ Update Monday, 30 December 2019, 17:00 by Rangers Football Club RANGERS are delighted today to announce further detail around our exciting Womens’ and Girls’ programme at the club. It has been a busy festive period for the Rangers with the announcement of six new professional signings with more to follow ahead of the new season starting in February. Rangers are delighted to be pioneers in the women’s game in Scotland and are the first full-time professional women’s team in the country to be fully integrated into the football department. From January, our high-performance training centre in Milngavie will be the home of four professional teams with the newly formed Women’s first team, joining our male under-18’s, the men’s Development Squad and of course the men’s first team. ... read more here: https://rangers.co.uk/news/women/womens-team-update/
  8. The OP is updated on a daily basis ... ?
  9. As long as people pay top money, one might be tempted that we take a few chance-opportunities as we did with Aribo, Kent and possibly Barker (even though the latter has yet to break through). Players we own and who interest the rich league(s). I do expect some bids for our better players in January, as a few clubs will sure look to strengthen their sides down there ... after a not-so-successful first half of the season. A few decent sales will easily finance the club for a season or two and put it into an even better shape, by comparison, so that in the near futue, debates and links would more or less only hinge on the player in question rather than in any "need" of selling our best talent.
  10. Hellooooo?!?!?! This what at multi-culture open-to-everyone Parkhead? There was not a whisper of abuse untowards anyone ever heard in this place of peace and tranquility!
  11. You do wonder at which point these impartial reporters will bring up the topic of "strict liability" again, now that the tide is seemingly turning.
  12. What I did not see at the time, was Edmundson able to get to the penalty area before the corner was taken? If not, that would have been a more grivous act by the ref, IMHO. Obviously, I hope Davis was smiling all the way to the area while bypassing the Hooped Horrors.
  13. So ... Fraser left the club 3 days early? Wow. At least Hartley found a reason not to have his contract renewed.
  14. A disservice to said animal. Dunno, maybe Mrs. CO is fed up with that arrogant chap from the East End and now, as the tide is seemingly turning, takes up her own stance here? Same with the Mark Ralston massacre of Clancy's refereeing? Maybe I'm just cynical, but it would be rather archetypical clan-Scottish to fall in with the probable victors. ?
  15. Barker was always a handful, but seemingly has never been goings since we signed him (on a free). That said, he had Jones and Kent in front of him and was just back from injury, methinks. Speaking of Jones, he's one of the main starting contenders on the left wing for Kent, IMHO, at times we could very well use Kent through the middle in games where we don't need 2 DMs. Should Middleton remain with us, we'd have Kent, Jones, Barker and Middleton for that wing, with Jones and Middelton being able to play across the front three. Ojo has seemingly fell off the starting roster (IMHO it coincides with the arrival of Kent and Aribo hitting form), and saying that, Ojo at times looks brilliant, but at times also as if he was playing EPL u23 league. A bit like the chap we had last year and who went back home early. The main contender for the right wing slot is Stewart, who IMHO has never let us down when being brought in, acting as much as a right winger as well as a playmaker. Given that we essentially have but two strikers right now, plus Stewart, one would assume that we will look for cover there.
  16. Don't you love it how they only talk about us? Remember what the Scum players did at Ibrox, how TLB and the Legoeater goaded our fans. Not a whisper. Here the paper implies that actions should be taken ...
  17. Haven't seen it elsewhere ... the intent is frightening, the reaction from the ref even more so. https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1211422593556926465
  18. Do note the coincidental year ... 2772 and remind yourself of 1872 ... it had to happen!
  19. Who would have thought ... Tom English! https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/50882543 He missed out a few naughty challenges on Alfredo, but at least went after the whistler, as he did after the League Cup Final.
  20. There was some debate whether today was actually the "last game of the decade" ... and be that as it may, an alternative timescale would have this year as 2772 ab urbe condita, i.e. the foundation of the city (of Rome). Suits me just fine ?
  21. BTW, was it Christie who grabbed Alfredo's crown jewells in clear view of the ref? What is that on your average referee card scale?
  22. Still have too come to terms with this
  23. Oh, I don't disagree, but you know how the COs function in this land.
  24. Saying that, this cutthroat gesture by ALfredo may wake the CO eventually ... we should make a gif of it!
