  1. When it comes to them and such games, that particular lass has become a hooped whore. Offside goal, two penalties not given, noc luck with at least 7 shots on target, yet they "score" with their one shot on target. And off-side it was. Nothing against our team, they ran themselves into the ground and should won that easily 3 or 4-0. Sickening ... but for almost 90 mins we essentially played them off the park. Redeem yourself and horse them at the Scumhut!
  2. I just hope that everyone is switched on, gives his all and even if it is not enough, we can hold our heads high. That said, I know nothing of their form or how well they players can by, as per usual, f@ck them. Likewise, I hope Lady Fortune either turns fully away or shares her favours 50/50 ... as well as the ref not making a mess of it (again).
  3. Over on FF ... and some say it has been that way since Thursday. I for one would throw in Stewart on the right. He can likewise became a creative AM. Attitude wise, he sure needs no motivation for this one .... What I do hope is that if things don`t work, we change it quickly ... not just 10 mins before time.
  4. Half of their first team would fail any face- and test of character checks ... not to speak of checks of playing ability.
  5. On a wee sidenote, it would be the first silverware that is added (sic!) to the list of "major honours". As such, winning it, would send some more of their "deniers" over the egde ... sure a sight to behold.
  6. IMHO, no matter who will form the midfield-front part of the side, ou defenders need to be switched on for the whole 90+ mins. And that also includes not venturing forward at every opportunity like e.g. Tav and Barisic do against lesser teams. Kamara and Jack are a must in CM/DM.
  7. IMHO, SG should spring a surprise up front ... with Defoe up top, Kent on the left and Morelos with free-insight-right role (he is moving about a bit anyways). Davis as the supplier in the middle, Jack (with a little bit of roaming-freedom) and Kamara in central MF and a back-4 that essentially picks itself. Keep a threat in their half and score early on. IMHO, ojo and Aribo are not yet up for such a game from the start, Arfield not yet 100 % at his best. Stewart as the prime option after 60odd minutes.
  8. Speaking of which ... Snatched from FF
  9. Yeah, wasn`t aimed at you, just a general thought. Alas, the rumour machine is starting in earnest now.
  10. The point is: once people do not get hunted for this, the "quality" of items will change, To the worse. Aberdeen are obliged to investigate, as that chap/lass/idiot violated their ground rules. The police probably needs to investigate as "attempted bodily harm" is sure a thing under their jurisdiction. These people, no matter what colour they wear, need to be slapped ... and thoroughly.
  11. Why would a well-aged Greek player leave a CL-team like Olympiakos for a team in ... Scotland to play 2nd fiddle to Barisic? Just think about it for a moment.
  12. Due to working commitments, I only read last nights comments on the German board and now watched the highlights. Coming on here there seems to be some sort of over-reaction and character-assassination though. First, given the opposition we face this month, we were and are bound to lose points. People should face that open minded. Obviously, given the recent form and how we started the game it didn`t exactly look on the cards last night. But its not like we haven`t seen it before, and worse, actually. SG put Flanagan in as he expected a physical battle. Was it a bit hazardous? Well, Flanagan never let us down before, YET, his last competitive game was against Wrexham (with the Colts, 90 mins) on November 16th. His last competitive league game was on September 1st vs the Scum (90 mins) and in the EL on August 29th vs Legia. That is partly down to Barisic`s good form, but also partly and more importantly down to SG not giving quite a few of our 2nd line players any game time. IMHO, it is somewhat bizarre to come out with: “We had experienced players making mistakes and we conceded a really poor goal for the second one – switching off from a throw-in and giving a throw-in away where we shouldn’t have given it away. ... downright criticising Flanagan for a miss-kick (which NEVER happens to anyone else). After not playing him for months, throw him in the cauldron that is the Sheep Pen? That is diametricallly opposed to saying he`d be strong enough to drop the captain if he has to, yet for weeks and despite Tav`s constant shortcomings in terms of defending - like last night at their second goal - he is an auto-pick. Likewise, it is not exactly glorious man-management, similarly to what he said after the Jones`incident. Then there is the Aribo - Arfield thing which (for a change) yielded a good goal and worked for the first half. But when things do not work any longer, instead of providing a spark and creativity input with Stewart or the enthusiasm of Halliday, we get the obvious Ojo in 77 (!!!) mins and Katic in 90? Which yielded nothing at all. We did Plan A and subbed like the usual Plan A. And we do it week in and week out. SG is 38 and it might be termed heresy to say anything against his tactics and team selections. But we are not here as beginners in the game and have seen it all before. There are things that could be handled differently ... and I know that people will come by and say that so far SG has gained us points and wins in doing it his way. At time you do wish that he would be more "hazardous" and open to change though. If things don`t work, change them. And not 10 mins before the end.
  13. More recently, they have got their act together again, methinks 4 times unbeaten now. As always, they'll raise their game against us, not least in their pit. I reckon the impartial "commentators" on national broadcasters will quickly point out Morelos' (sic!) ill-discipline (not the provocation et al) of last season. You would hope we score a couple of quick goals to calm any adrenalin-rush and then destroy them like Hearts. Was working on Sunday, will be working tonight ... so it won`t be me to blame any ill-fortune on later ?
  14. Hm .. seemingly NOT widely reported all over Scotland?
  15. I would assume that, no matter how we view it, displaying or carrying banners someplace outside any football ground under Rangers`influence or UEFA's, it is a matter that shouldn`t concern either. Yes, Rangers can and probably should be pro-active in some (nut-)cases, yet they cannot be hold responsible by anyone for what people do outside the relevant authorities jurisdiction. I doubt the Scum and their support were ever fined for attacking that tram in (was it) Amsterdam and police-folk in civil clothes back in the day? Or charged by UEFA for flame-bombing bars in some Spanish place when they played there?
  16. ... and what baffles me is that we stick with 80+ % of players every single game. These games should be a chance for the likes of Stewart, Polster, Barker, Edmundson, or Flanagan to keep the tilte race on and themselves fit. It will essentially an ever bigger blow if they don't play competitive stuff and then Tav, Goldson or Defoe get injured or suspended and we throw those sideline-huggers e.g. straight into important December games. And like it or not, MW got FLAK like there is no tomorrow, but SG hardly ever changes tactics, substitution times and playing staff either. Only that SG so far has had the luxury of better players and no injuries to the spine of the squad to deal with. No absolvation of MW, just an observation.
  17. Top of the table, but due to Porto`s win in Bern, both teams are but one point behind us. So we should not lose to Bern or Feyenoord must beat porto ... for us to advance. Great 2nd half, didn`t see the 1st. Morelos again kicked from pillar to post, hope we have no casualties for Sunday.
  18. Well, call me Steven for the night!
  19. BTW, given UEFA have strict guidelines, as has or should have any club in Europe, stewards should spot such banner upon entry and disallow it. Offensive stuff is by default not allowed and the Dutch can speak English well enough. As for the team, I'd suggest a defensive-physical approach aimed for counter attacks, a "4-3-3" a la McGregor Tavernier - Goldson - Helander - Flanagan* Jack - Davis - Kamara Ojo - Morelos - Kent * assuming that Barisic doesn't make it.
  20. Hope we - as per usual - ignore all surrounding mantras and just go on with our business. SOmeone should hand Goldson a small needle, so he can pinch Tavernier into attention every 10 mins or so ...
  21. As above ... and FYI: Rangers will play Slovan Bratislava at 4pm (UK time) this evening. UEFA: https://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/match/2028480--slovan-bratislava-vs-rangers/ For any Slovaks amongst us ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ez4Q3CMb4Wg I suspect we will only get Twitter updates ...
  22. Gone somewhat quiet on that frontier, BTW.
  23. Maybe I miss something in this, but he says Rangers had HMRC problems, The (English) Times raised an issue with HMRC and HMRC has replied. What good is this repeating of known news?
  24. BTW ... the SNP of this day and age is seemingly a rather peculiar bunch of people, similar to those who occupy the seats in the mhedia and most football authorities. Agenda-driven and on a very small scale at that, doing the utmost to pander to their peculiar followers while making the most of antagonising the rest / opposition. But they are not alone in this on the planet right now.
