  1. Where and when has Polster been told he can go? IMHO, it is only conjecture and/or speculation from the media. He said a month (with quotes) ago that he has no intention to leave anytime soon.
  2. Dunno what people do NOT see in Flanagan and Polster here? IMHO, neitherhas been given much of a chance and when Flanagan was asked to play (left back), it was in games where his priorities were defending rather than playing wing-back. Sometimes you get the idea that the more Tav and Borna are being talked up, the more the abilities of Flanagan and Polsterare being talked down. SG bought Polster for a reason and he knew him quite well. IMHO, it is not the management`s team to throw in youngsters. Granted, Stranraer might be a good game for Patterson, as they probably won`t offer that great a threat. In league business, it will be somewhat different.
  3. https://www.sundaypost.com/fp/rangers-boss-steven-gerrard-praises-medical-team-for-quick-response-to-james-tavernier-appendix-issue/ Too bad that it needs this to see how Polster or Flanagan can cope and play on the right side of defence. I would assume that the youngster will not be thrown in straight away.
  4. You need not try to rememebr, just go to the OP ... ? BTW, I haven`t listed Atakayi or Rudden, as they were academy players. Same with the women. Well, I have inlcuded Rudden now, given his buy-back / sell-on clause. Of the rest only King has been confirmed officially.
  5. ... which coincides with the rumours that Tav's appendix has burst and he'll be out for a month. Rumours for the time being.
  6. A Scottish newspaper claims that Roma have or will attempt to loan Barisic before making a permanent move in the summer. Apparently laughed out of Ibrox and SG and Co. "have told Barisic" that he won't go anywhere in mid-season ... which leads to the assumption (by the reporter) that Barisic might actually be willing to go there.
  7. The one thing that coul be held against a 100 % ban is that you are well adviced to keep and have some evidence of their assault and/or defamation on/of our club. E.g. the OP mentions Leckie's article regarding Morelos, but has no link or text sample. It will be in memory just now, but in a month's time it will be buried under new information and news. Not a problem that bothers me much, as we have a "Freedom of the media" thread over on the German board for discussion and mainly reference.
  8. Maybe quite a few English side monitor the "success" of Scottish players of recent seasons, people playing well up here and simply can't hack it in England. For every Andy Robertson (?) there are about 10 to 20 who drop down the leagues quickly or return to Scotland soonish. Obviously, Jack is class right now, but I would expect the English clubs are wary of our league's quality. BTW, for all the rumour-mongering out there, there are more factors than agents and money involved. Kamara AFAIK is quite settled and wouldn't want to move. You can't see into players' heads and assume how much they envisage Rangers as a stepstone into the EPL, though probably any professional would want that at some stage. The later for us the better. One would hope SG & Co. have talked to all players and know the score.
  9. He did gave away some aweful balls, none more so than the game at the Scumhut when we were drawing 1-1 and that ended any hopes of a title challenge. He had a pretty poor first half of the season by his standards and has come around of late.
  10. Good to see Stewart and Jones getting involved and showing their worth. You would hope they get a good run in the forthcoming games, as both carry quite a bit of threat.
  11. Nice PR stunt to fill the stands at Auchenhowie ... ?
  12. Ian, could you put an "RTV subscribers only" or " RTV s/o" into any forthcoming topical headlines please. ? Spares me and others to open all the video topics if they are locked for non-subscribers.
  13. Snatched from FF While there might be interest, I can't see this happening, even as a loan. When fully fit, Jordan Jones is sure the main contender for the left-wing / left-attacking midfield slot behind Kent. Barker hasn't shown even half of the promise that Jones did early in the season and the latter is a proven player at Premiership level. Thus, I'd rather envisage a loan for Barker rather than Jones. King is away now, Grezda too. I reckon that Middleton and Docherty will follow, most likely on loan. There will probably be interest in Foderingham, while Polster has already stated that he won't look to move on. It was also said that he can and has played as DM (as well as RB), an area where we have lost/will lose two players. Likewise, he hardly put a foot wrong when he was on the park. While others may disagree and probably point at the "never change a running system" mantra, I do find it somewhat strange that we keep picking the same players over and over again (whether in form or not). We play teams of a varying degree of quality every week, sometimes twice a week, yet won't give the "back-up" folk a chance to keep themselves sharp in case some of the "first row union" drop out through injury et al. The only real change that happened of late was the exclusion of Ojo from the starting line-ups and even the bench (without much of an official explanation). Obviously, Aribo's form and the arrival of Kent have to be thrown into the equation here.
  14. Disfunctional Reality Perception - Syndrome. It runs deep within this "club" ...
  15. BTW, people seem to forget that Greg Stewart is by default a striker, who has been utilized as right or even left winger in recent seasons. Likewise, Jordan Jones has played through the middle before, though not that often. IMHO, we do not want to sell Morelos before the summer and any striker we sign now is probably one that has to agree playing second/thrid fiddle as well as being lethal / experienced / mentally strong enough to come straight in. Not an easy job.
  16. I still awaited some warped CO view of the Morelos`gesture ...
  17. Snatched from FF RANGERS have joined the race for Stoke kid Tyrese Campbell, according to reports. The striker has also been attracting interest from other clubs – including CELTIC.According to The Independent, the Light Blues are now chasing the Potter youngster and want to sign him in the summer at the end of his contract.EPL duo Crystal Palace and Wolves are also credited with looking at the 20-year-old. https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/gers-interest-in-stokes-tyrese-campbell.103427/ Tyrese who? Here's is TM site -> Striker, out of contract in the summer: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyrese-campbell/profil/spieler/382554
  18. Fan-made video ...
  19. Rangers Sign Megan Bell RANGERS are today delighted to confirm the signing of international midfielder Megan Bell from Durham Women. Northern Irish international Bell, joins on a professional contract from the FA Women’s Championship side for two years. The 18 year old, who joined Durham in the summer from Linfield Ladies has been capped six times by her country, after also featuring for the under-17 team and captaining the under-19 side. more here: https://rangers.co.uk/news/women/rangers-sign-megan-bell/ Gers The Best Christmas Present EGAN Bell says signing for Rangers was the best Christmas present she could have wished for, after making her childhood dreams a reality by putting pen to paper with the Light Blues. The Northern Ireland international became Rangers latest signing in an exciting off-season period for the women’s team and admits it felt surreal to be joining the club she calls “My team.” More here: https://rangers.co.uk/news/women/gers-the-best-christmas-present/
  20. So thats Andy King and Eros Grezda gone. BTW, Fraser Aird has signed for San Diego, owned and managed by Landon Donovan. From Clyde and Hartley to the sunny beaches, some move! Good luck, son! I would assume nothing will be said, but you hope we got some money for Grezda ...
  21. May I shoot the messenger? Just this time? On FF someone mentioned that Stuart Armstrong is being rumoured as well. If I was Rousseau, I'd use this ...
  22. Sky now twitters that Andy King has had his loan deal terminated and is going back to Leicester.
  23. Fraser Aird "losing his contract" ... IIRC, his contract was running out three days later and if it hadn`t been renewed by then, it would never have been anyways. Showboating by the Cove Rangers board / pandering to the authorities who just hammered a board member and the manager (methinks).
  24. Well, Braga are 6th in the league, Belenenses 15th ... with 15 points from 15 games. Porto are second (14 / 35) behind Benfica (15 / 42).
  25. Just in case, we lost the game 3-0, but both the games against Rapid and Stuttgart were marred - IMHO - strange refreeing and unsporting behaviour by the opposition. There is no doubt that given our performances on day 2 we deserved absolutely nothing, as we were second best against any of the teams, which was rather strange given yesterday`s standard. Of course, the German and Austrian sides play these indoor 5-asides far more often than we do and both Stuttgart and Rapid dominate their respective leagues, they said that e.g. finalists RB Leipzig played 40odd games in league and European business too. So honing our close-control-skills was good, you would hope that the aggressive behaviour and antics of some of the Rapid and Stuttgart guys is quickly forgotten. Sad too that the clock wasn`t stop when the ball was out of play or people being treated for injuries. Icing on the cake was one Stuttgart guy kicking the ball into the cabin entrance 10 seconds before the end ... so the game essentially stopped there and then. A shame, as both teams were sure the better sides and there was no need for somesuch. Refereeing left a bit top be desired too. Final Standing 1 Rapid Vienna 2 RB Leipzig 3 VfB Stuttgart 4 Rangers 5 Borussia Mönchengladbach 6 Porto 7 Manchester United 8 Eintracht Frankfurt NB: The German commentator couldn`t help himself remarking that the Old Firm is still ruling the league in Scotland and the religious split is still venomous as ever. Up to date they are ... at least with stereotypes, Well fed by BBC Scotland ... Highlights can be watched here: https://www.mercedes-benz.com/de/sport/fussball/spielplan-und-ergebnisse/
