  1. Methinks - as has been pointed out over at FF - that Whyte is the only "secured creditor", while HMRC and the rest are just creditors too. He gets first pick and HMRC and the rest will effectively get next to nothing. The only real way for HMRC to get any money of substance is to do a deal with Whyte. Now, I can't say that these people are all "in the know", but it appears that there is a certain consensus with regard to what HMRC can expect should we enter any form of administration. Hence my remark above. At the end of the day, all the media speculation is based on the notion that we actually lose the case in the first place. A case that is actually nearer to 36m (i.e. confirmed 24m + 12m penalty) than the much-quoted 49m. Not that this makes any great difference, unless there is a deal to be cut. Speaking of which, someone mentioned a deal to be offered to the tune of 8.5m this week, anyone else heard that? On a sidenote, another poster mentioned: Hm ...
  2. It is being all over the place, but still, the Sheepshaggers have a special relation with us and injuries. Unless I am mistaken, they still indulge in the sing-song about Durrant and Simpson, don't they?
  3. On a sidenote, this would only hold true if we go int pre-pack (or whatever it is called), right? If we simply go into administration to clear the debts, face the 10-point penalty and have the assets split between the creditors ... i.e. the only real creditor that is Craig Whyte ... nothing of the above will hold true. Unless I am mistaken.
  4. Yep, life can that easy indeed.
  5. What happen will happen and no matter what the press spouts or we muse, Whyte will (hopefully) do the most sensible thing that can be done for Rangers FC. For I still of the opinion that in contrast to the other people who were chairmen or directors in my days as a Bluenose (i.e. the better part of 30odd years) he is actually a Rangers supporter himself.
  6. Could well be that this sneaky guy simply wants to register the names ahead of Rangers, so they may have to "buy him out". But as far as I am aware, we could challenge him for the rights to use the names with ease ...
  7. I for one would not give him any line or thought anywhere.
  8. And I would assume that he won't have any funny ideas about weekly wages ...
  9. So anyone actually read anything more of said "story"? If we've already bid for him, the deal might be more advanced already ... the Swedish season will soon be over, AFAIK. Maybe a tip-off from Bedoya?
  10. Skint Rangers won 3IAR. While they faltered in Europe, they run away with the league again, after spending next to nothing on seven new players (according to some). Timothy as a team and their manager appear to be clueless these days, had it not been for the Sion Fiasco, they would be out of Europe too. (The cover this fact gets is minimal, BTW.) The big HMRC case comes up, so our "friends" at the BBC (you know that I do not speak about the impartial ones - few as there might be) take the opportunity to deflect from Celtic's woes and lay heavily into us ... by whipping up a programme to undermine our chairman in the public eye, just ahead of this schedule HMRC case hearing. And we do not simply speak of some nonsense local paper or TV station here, we speak about the BBC, read and screened all over the planet. As I said, their football (not Scottish, but their main footie) page on the day (Friday) had the Rangers & criminal background headline spread all over it. As you say, the programme was about Whyte, but it was IMHO misnamed for a reason. Why right now and not years ago? Maybe because Murray, our board members and the BBC folk were good friends, or at least on good terms?
  11. Wonder where that comes from? Then again, it is just "a bit". Coming to think of it, just imagine if Dave King had taken over, with all his RSA tax baggage ... investigative press FLAK all year long.
  12. Which "might" suggest that he "might" view administration is "probably" the next best option "should" the case go against us. @ Dutchy ... you mean it's kaputt?
  13. I was referring to the 4m in the cash-flow account. Anyways, it seems that the BBC really want that war. Despite all the Europa League action last night and Stoke going strong, their Football page opener can't be more telling! Rangers owner 'criminality' claim Utter gutter press behaviour. Sue them hard, Craig!
  14. Let's sue them for 4m Craig, you know where to put it!

  16. If it was that easy*. Alas, I can actually watch Al-Jazeera in English and Arabian these days. BBC World Service is out there, the rest might still come via BSkyB's hardware. *We've got our satellite dish for more than 10 years now, digital receivers for a year.
  17. Lucky me over here in Germany. Won't be able to see either "show". Sometimes you wonder whether ManU fans are equally trouble by their club's ownership and debts ...
  18. BTW, while we are all pre-occupied with Rangers, is this also the case with Whyte? I mean, sure he has obligations as a chairman, but he (as far as we know) runs quite a number of important businesses, some may be more important at certain stages than Rangers. Just as food for thought.
  19. Obviously, such a "cash" problem may see us ending up in administration, but, just out of interest, would this actually help us with the HMRC case? What would be the worth of going into administration if we come out of it and face HMRC again? On a sidenote, why does it take so long to clear the first HMRC case and deal with Bain and McIntyre?
  20. Has there actually been any real facts about this "imminent" administration? Unless I am mistaken, people are just reading a lot of things into some of the current events, some of which do indeed make our financial doings look bad, while others have next to nothing to do with it. There's been a negative undertone in nigh "anything Whyte" and this has us all essentially on the edge. The only one real danger that is looming is this big HMRC thing, which would essentially break nigh any British team's financial resolve. If it goes against us, administration is probably on the agenda, unless Mr. King shows up again or we can divert it onto Murray - one way or another. But IMHO, people have been playing with that "IF" far too much and thus created an atmosphere where anything that springs up is almost solely viewed in negative lights.
  21. Rest assured, to many in the mhedia, that what will be said in this programme will be gospel.
  22. We still get interest for all the frozen money, do we not? That's better than throwing it after players who fail to hit their own standards ...
  23. Obviously, while one does not exactly now any outcome of an administration, taking it on board now and having a chance to stay at the or near the top with 3/4 of the season to go would be a clever option. IF administration can be considered a good option at all. I'd expect that the doom-mongers will ensure some dire reading till the first hearing will actually take place in November.
  24. At least we saved the money for a legal representative, as we did not send anyone ... It would be more interesting to hear when these cases are actually heard. Wouldn't it be a cynical move if he takes it all in his strides and sees their claims evaporate in case of administration?
  25. So everyone should just keep quiet and not ask questions or discuss the various situations unfolding? I can see it now... new SNP campaign called "Wait And See" that criminalises speculation, presumption and open discussion. What's really sinister is the treatment (and planned treatment) of Rangers fans! I won't tell anyone what s/he has to do. Some argumentations on here seem to border on paranoia though and the will to see everything bad that there might be (!) in Whyte and present it as fact is pretty obvious. At the end of the day, he will do as he sees fit ... and much like in the darkest days of Murray, boarders rather argue amongst themselves and slag each other off than actually do something. Which reminds me to post a question over at the RST site, who will actually talk to him in person tomorrow.
