I totally disagree....If you have that ONE player, the rest of the team begin to rely on him. That's what happened with Naismith. It's great when said payer is on form, but EVERYTHING falls apart if they are off form or injured. We need players who function as a TEAM...we need backup/fringe players who function as a TEAM - no single point of failure.

My understanding is that the citation is NOTHING to do with FARE.....but why should that stop anyone linking the 2 together. Bottom line is that the actions of the fans resulted in a delay to the match. As such, UEFA have acted on that - I would expect nothing more than a rap on the knuckles (maybe a small fine).

Rangers v Progrès Niederkorn - Failure is not an option

going by your posts....you'd think we LOST last night. When was the last time that a Rangers team, put in an outstanding performance for their 1st competitive game of the season???? -
100% agree with the sentiment....but they could have worded it an awful lot stronger imho. just come right out and say that anyone singing banned material is a disgrace to the club & is actively encouraging orgs like FARE to target the club.
-
Exactly...If the fans don't give them anything to report on, then there's no problem. Whether fans agree with it or not, certain songs are banned - they all know it, yet still choose to sing them. Then complain when action is taken against the club. Stop singing the things that are banned!!!

That may change though..... I can understand PC not wanting to field EVERY new player immediately, who he plays will be interesting though.... -
I'm sure neither will clarify......why would they??? Bottom line is, there has been a MASSIVE surge on sales, current stock has sold out & they are awaiting more from Puma. I think the only thing you may hear from the club is around the huge increase in sales......the club will only spin the positive side of the story.
-
or an indication of the number that have been bought.....
-
Would love to see the megastores sales figures for the past couple of weeks.....there will be a MASSIVE jump in numbers since last weeks announcement.

here's a though. Maybe Waggy has been included to hopefully get him into the shop window a wee bit more. He is a decent enough player (just not being doing it for us recently), and maybe a couple of early Euro games will interest some teams down south. Dodoo may be a "longer term" prospect, so no rush to include him at them minute.
-
In fairness, PC has had a good amount of time to assess each player...he obviously doesn't think the Halliday has the required skills to progress with Pc's vision.
-
Remember the manager has a certain quota to hit....it may be that some players HAD to be included (to the detriment of others) in order to make that quota..... Houston, Mayo & Rudden have yet to make a 1st team appearance, yet get included in the squad - to achieve the required quota of homegrown players.
-
Absolutely no problem with that.... If the guy wants to win a move down south....he has to prove himself here first - and that will be to our benefit.

General feel so far - Genius or monumental disaster?

I get the impression is generally excitement & apprehension.... Folk are excited about the quantity & perceived quality of the new players - we certainly appear to be targeting a much higher standard than in previous years. However, we know virtually nothing about these players, other that YouTube showreels. We also have no idea how they will gel as a team, adapt to life in Scotland and how they will implement PC's plans. Then there is the off-field stuff. It is clear that the club is finally returning to it's proper place. Infrastructure is constantly improving, and the financial side is looking much more settled. The club also now has a much welcomed steady income stream from merchandise. With all this going on, it is near on impossible to see any negatives.... -
Ceptic SHOULD have been 30-odd points ahead of 2nd place every season since we dropped the league's....they SHOULD have had at least a couple of trebled...but that wasn't the case!!! Granted, they made the Champ league group stages, but ultimately ended up as canon fodder. Let's see what they do next season....

Club1872 become 2nd biggest shareholder as Mike Ashley leaves the building

The natural thing is to divide the 7.265m by the £1m price....when it's actually the other way about D'oh... -

I believe it works out at about 3.6m shares for £1m...... -

Nah....Someone from Millport -
but has the game REALLY changed??? The main role of a striker is to score goals is it not??? they are not there to defend or to link play in midfield....they score goals & that's what wins games. If the other players do their jobs, then there is no need for anyone to be "multi-functional". Ultimately, the main point to the game is to score more goals than the other team......

I maintain that we've missed a player in the mould of McCoist/Boyd for some time. These players were never the most technical etc, but they got chances & took a good percentage of them. I always felt that with these type of "Poachers", wingers etc could almost blindly put the ball into the box, knowing that they would be there, or there abouts. Hopefully, Morelos is that type of player & can get goals by the sack-full. Don't really know much about Herreras' style - maybe bit more of a work-horse type???

For the coming season, we need to essentially forget what Ceptic are doing....we need to concentrate on beating the other teams. If we can do that, then the title & any points difference will basically come down to the OF games. Bookies odds are irrelevant.
