  1. Aluko the other players according to SSN. Up to 8 other players in same frame of mind.
  2. Quick, get Interpol on the case and send a snatch squad to Poland.
  3. I'm prepared for the whole squad to leave, if we keep anybody then it's a bonus and I'll have no axe to grind with any player who chooses to get away from our chaotic club. Best of luck to Rhys, just hope he does go on to be the player we all think he can.
  4. I'm choosing to ignore the fact that this can't and won't happen and say I'm 100% for it if it gets us away from the cesspit of hate we're in now.
  5. So much wrong with that little outburst.
  6. I saw that, looks good. Just the Russian model, Grand Canyon base jump and a few laps round the Nurburgring and I can die a happy man!
  7. Thanks chaps, started out on a mini rant that ended up a major rant! It's absolutely amazing to think how much has changed in such a relatively small time frame though.
  8. I cleaned out my home office the other day, under a pile of folders and papers I stumbled across an old programme - Rangers vs Hibernian 14th Feb 2010. I had a flick through and a quick read of some of the articles. Thirty minutes later and a cup of strong coffee I finally put it down. I wasn't particularly gripped by the team talk, by the featured interview (Kevin Thomson) or indeed by the talk of the imminent Old Firm potential title decider. Nope. I was overwhelmed by the thought of just how far Scottish Football has fallen since then. In a little over two years the football landscape has been degraded so dramatically that it almost bears no resemblance to those now relatively innocent times. The atmosphere from what I can remember was one of quiet optimism. Against a backdrop of global financial meltdown and recession in the UK, football offered us a little bit of sanctuary from the harsh realities of "the real world". We turned to football to be entertained and if that weekends fixtures was anything to go by we certainly got what we asked for. Rangers cruised past Hibs winning 3-0 with goals from Whittaker, Boyd (pen) and a late goal by Kenny Miler. The day before,Tony Mowbray's Celtic side drew 4-4 with Aberdeen at Pittodrie. I mentioned atmosphere in my previous paragraph and it's a difficult concept to work with when you try to re-imagine what it felt like at the time. The fact that Rangers were cruising to another title 10 points ahead of Mowbray's Celtic might account for most of the fondness in my memories of those days however it struck me that this was the exact pivot point when Scottish Football began to slide headlong into controversy, bitterness, in fighting and raw hostility. Some of us in that mild winter of 2010 (myself included) had begun to notice that sectarianism had dropped off the daily agenda and maybe, just maybe we had at last turned the corner....relations between Old Firm fans hadn't been so temperate for many years. I enjoyed frequent exchanges of good natured banter with Celtic fans both on and offline, at work, in pubs and over the fence with neighbours. The old under current was still there but it remained firmly in the background. This was to change with the demise of Mowbray's reign at Celtic and the appointment of one Neil Francis Lennon. On Wednesday 9th June 2010 the tone of relations between fans of all Scottish clubs took a nosedive that we have not managed to pull out of to this day, just over two years later. Match days became all about what Lennon had said this time or which referee was the target of his intimidatory tactics this week. His vow to bring the thunder back to the Celtic support struck a chord and incited such a vehement and hostile reaction from within the hard core that the hitherto low profile Green Brigade suddenly became the almost out of control band of extremists they are today. What was a consistent but marginal hum of discontent from Celtic fans became a wall of noise, full of anti-establishment and anti-SFA rhetoric which coincided with another high profile appointment in that summer of 2010. On July 28th 2010 Stewart Regan was appointed by the board as Chief Executive of The SFA and vowed to revolutionise the association and bring fresh ideas and impetus to an under fire organisation. Ring any bells? I'll leave you to draw your own parallels. One of Regan's first priorities was to address the conflict which grew so rapidly between his SFA and Celtic Football Club. True to his word he set about his task with vigour. Talks with Celtic CEO Peter Lawell began and this chain of events would lead to Lawell's appointment on the SFA Board along with Celtic Financial Director Eric Riley just over a year later. To set the scene a little more here is what The SFA Board circa June 2010 looked like. George Peat Campbell Ogilvie Alan McRae John Gold Ralph Topping Tom Johnston Jim Ballantyne Rod Petrie Richard Shaw Sandy Stables Fast forward another year and we are looking at a very different Scottish Football.Regan and Co have managed to make a mess of almost every big decision, progress on the International front has been non existent and disciplinary procedures have been regularly ripped asunder by Celtic's legal team. Rangers having been sold down the river by Sir David Murray and left with the predatory Craig Whyte have gone from financially handicapped to complete financial meltdown. Mistakes were made, financial atrocities were committed and the 400lb gorilla in the room (as described by Alistair Johnston) went from quiet and placid to enraged and spiteful. HMRC did what they do and pursued the club for what they deemed we owed. Payment (with or without a CVA) was never an option, administration and now liquidation of the PLC has come to pass. The very structure of Scottish Football is under threat, we have the ridiculous situation of the fixture list for the coming season being released with a mysterious entry replacing Rangers. "Club 12" is awaiting the outcome of a seemingly endless stream of disciplinary probes and hearings which will decide how badly crippled we will be for the years proceeding 2012. The venomous lust for punishment has engulfed even the most moderate fans and commentators. All perspective has been lost and with it any chance of a return to those distant yet surprisingly recent days of relative innocence. Scottish Football has been systematically dismantled by those who are charged with building it into something which resembles a vibrant, exciting product that appeals to football fans in all corners of the world. How long they will be allowed to continue with their demolition job is anyone's guess. What will be left in their wake may well be damaged beyond repair. (Not sure which section this should go in guys, please move it wherever you think it should go)
  9. I've noticed that only certain outlets have altered how they address Rangers now...BBC are firmly behind the "New Rangers" or "Newco Rangers" and The Sun are now favouring "Rangers Newco Club". They couldn't wait to start muddying the waters of how we should be referred to...it's almost as if they've been reading Celtic Minded or Kerrydale Street..... To say "Rangers Newco Club" is as big an oxymoron as you'll see...a "Newco" is short for New Company not for New Club. How desperate are these muppets? It's pathetic.
  10. If it's an anonymous vote I'm guessing we'll be voted in. It would be pretty funny if it was 11-0 in favour, at least 17 diddy team fans would not renew their season tickets and one million yahoo's would implode. Job's a good 'un.
  11. England out by the weekend one way or another...if they get the point(s) they need from Ukraine they will come a cropper against either Spain or Italy in the next round. Then we can all enjoy the rest of the tournie without Chiles/Linekar etc droning on about England before during, and after every game.
  12. These idiots are literally tying a noose around their own necks, it' s insanity.
  13. "The club has been flooded with correspondence from supporters of many clubs which ranges from fully reasoned arguments to direct threats concerning the consequences of a vote either way." I don't think I want to live in this country any more.
  14. "A stinking hot oozy" lol
  15. I hear the new league will be called the ABRCWSPD. Anyone But Rangers Can Win Scottish Premier Division.
  16. That's the worry Jim, they want us but they want us severely impaired and we're just going to have to wear it. The Div3 thing is a non-starter, it would do us more damage than some fans are willing to admit. Three years is a long time to be without top flight football and even with our fantastic support it would still have a massive impact on us. Investors will not be willing to pump money into a lower league club, some fans will drift away and our playing squad will have to reflect the league and wage structure we're in at the time. Our best bet is to challenge what punitive measures we can and grudgingly accept the rest. No Europe for min 3 years is almost certain, a points deduction for one season and a transfer embargo (except free's and U18's) is in my view also very likely. It's totally over the top but given the pressure on the SFA/SPL and individual Chairmen I think it's highly unlikely we'll get by with anything less.
  17. This seems to be coming from the SFA more than it is from the SPL...I just don't understand why they would go along with this so meekly. They are the body that stand to benefit or lose the most in all this. It leads me to think that Doncaster and Regan are cooking up a plan to avoid dealing with the whole situation at all by forming a new league structure including Rangers.
  18. I think we've under estimated the level of bitterness out there in Scottish Football fandom, some of it is understandable as Amms has said but I get the feeling that years of watching us sweep all asunder has left all but the most balanced of fans with a large slice of jealousy. It's that jealousy that drives the unwashed to their heights of lunacy after all. Trying to claim some of our titles tells you all you need to know. It doesn't matter what fans groups do or say their Chairmen will do what's best for the clubs financially and strategically after all, that is their job. These fans groups are about to find out that they are simply customers of a company who are putting them in an almost impossible situation. Sky may or may not stomach one season without the Old Firm games but they will not want to be a part of a product that offers nothing in the way of spectacle, drama, or competitiveness. That's what would happen without Rangers.
  19. How poor are England? Lucky to be 2-2 at this point...
  20. We should all be defiant now, we've shed the toxic skin that has been poisoning us for the last 18 months, it's time to demand equal and fair treatment from our governing bodies. The time for retrospect and looking backwards has passed.
  21. HMRC will not agree a CVA with a company who have been shown to have taken the piss (not their words). It would allow every cowboy company in the UK to stop paying tax and then apply for a CVA once the wheels fall off.
  22. Why is it all of a sudden a one shot deal? Why can't an improved offer to the creditors be made? Sure there must be a reason, otherwise it would have happened but it's rather strange that it's Newco or nothing now. Anybody?
  23. Always one to look on the bright side....no more HMRC, no more Admin, no more Duff and Phelps and no more threats. We'll rise again, standing proud and free from the millstones collected over the last 20 years. Onwards and upwards.
