  1. Yes but intriguing. I'd like to hear more info etc but my vote is cast in stone, but then I remember the pettiness Scotland can indulge in and I think the answer is obvious.
  2. The country.
  3. Sigh. I know you are right. This is what I hate about Scotland, and why I don't see how we could go independent, as much as theory may intrigue me.
  4. I wouldn't ban reporters though, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth and makes the club look petty. Rangers need more forthright PR. We are constantly told we as a club engage in bigotry. That being proud of being British is distasteful and that being Scottish we should only fly Saltires etc. We are mocked for supporting Armed Forces personnel, past & present, for our traditions etc. We need to come out more, not snidey remarks, nothing to do with other clubs, but more PR about how proud we are of our club, our history. I do LIKE that Rangers as a club doesn't engage in pettiness in public, but it says something when it's only really since the Administrators have come in that our statements have been more hardhitting.
  5. I agree. There is a severe one-upmanship that goes on. I'm a better Rangers fan than you because... I don't like being told what I think, what I should think.
  6. Whereas what they should be admitting is that they & the rest of the SPL DO need Rangers. Yes that's right, they DO need us.
  7. I agree but you are making the assumption that this is about affecting any other club. Sorry, but it's not. This is about hitting Rangers. Everyone is in a mad moral outrage, yet we haven't lost the tax case as of just now. All these changes are for maximum impact to Rangers, no one else.
  8. Considering the FA have helped Portsmouth to get to the end of the season, after coming out saying they couldn't fulfill their matches, I think that shows the difference between Scottish FA/SPL small minded mentality and reasonable courses of action. It's not surprising, they usually do their best to hinder us - UEFA cup run - still, each new piece of evidence is depressing. Remind me again why we want to play in this league? I'm struggling to remember at the moment.
  9. 1 and 2a are huge changes and should require an 11-1 vote. I feel an email to.SPL coming on.
  10. Thanks Frankie. In the SPL statement it says all but two are to be voted on at 8-4. Gonna go re-read.
  11. The Penny Arcade
  12. Why do some of the rules only require an 8 vote majority? I thought it was all an 11-1 required. Is this something new to push it through or has it always been in place? I'm asking because of the furore recently about the other 10 clubs threatening to pull out because of 11-1 rule. Surely they can't change the rules for one vote?
  13. Guys I care less about admin statement at this minute (they can continue their job, but have to cover all bases) than I do about what the SPL are trying to do to our club! This is sabotage. No one has discussed Administration/Liquidation rules until we are in the position. Suddenly it's top of the agenda, requires a vote immediately. It's a complete fucking disgrace and I'm bloody angry. Yes we kind of knew about it, but their timing etc. is more than coincidence. I'm aware I sound like a conspiracy theory but is it any bloody wonder? They would allow a newco in but reduce SPL revenue by 75%. This is a kowtow to Celtic who don't want less of a share but are happy to see us get fuck all, even though the TV deal is completely reliant on us & Septic being in the league. They WANT OUR MONEY, whilst the kick our ass. Rangers have to fight this, fans & club.
  14. which is in response to this: http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s2&newsid=11256
  15. Love your stuff
  16. Bad of me not to state my own opinion! Anyway, yes it has been blown out of proportion. I agree with what he said. He may not have termed it politely but he has a point. I think it's a bit silly of the charity to refuse his donation if I'm honest.
  17. I hate how the mail wrote 'bailout'. (I HATE the Mail anyway) All good though, all cash is useful just now
  18. Was Alan Davies justified in his comments about Liverpool refusing to ever play on April 15th? He has since tried to donate £1000 to the Hillsborough charity, which they have rejected... Thoughts?
  19. Sorry maybe I should clarify. "Crime of passion" is a bullshit defence. That video linked isn't one of them. That's defending an unprovoked attack (similar to the Swanson one). The guy in the video didn't keep attacking whilst the attacker was on the ground (something I cannot stand) and was more trying to get them away as they kept coming back at him. I'm not against defending oneself at all, but I cannot stand to see weapons used, or someone having the shit kicked out of them whilst lying prone on the ground. Crime of passion used to be used in defence of killing (normally a wife/female partner, but obviously it does work the other way round) a partner if they had an affair or something. The blame being laid on the victim. Anyway that's a bit heavy for a football forum lol
  20. Also, how cool are GlenCairn though. Total faith and quite happy to wait. That's my mum's birthday present sorted
  21. That's brilliant. I like how it was really bothering the poster so they made a big effort. Good show
  22. That pretty accurately sums up my feelings on the matter. I'd have waffled my way through a post about it no doubt.
  23. LOL really guys? Telling people not to talk to you? I'm all for debate etc. but no need to get silly.
  24. Forlan - explain the floating charge thing? Is it like a secured loan effectively?
