It may be bacause its late and im tired but i dont really get this debate. Are you guys argueing that that specific 9M will/wont get spent on new players?? Surely if some/all of the money goes towards debt this will influence what kind of budget we get next season. Also doesnt Murray Park get some of this money?

Rangers actually pay their youth teams more than what a similar level youth at say Man Utd is on. This i think is one of our problems, if a young guy at 16 is getting 900 bucks a week then he might think he has made it. Compare to Man Utd who's youths are on about a third of that. The difference comes with the jump upto the first team. Thats when we cant compete with the Premiership.

Eck summed it up for me, when he was in the Everton team, he didnt look out of place, he at times looked like their best option. Doubt this move wouldve happened had it not been for Eck and Moyes being pals.

Cahill was set to come, all we had too do was pay 1.5 million but Murray thought it to be too big a risk. The other 3 mentioned were 100% not Ecks signings

Funny thing is, only one of those players was HIS signing. And he was only signed because Mr Murray wouldnt spend another �£200,000 to get Tim Cahill and so he went for his plan B Mladenovich, who to be fair was gash.

Arsenal will pump them. Could be 4 or 5. Brums defence is the 2nd worst in the Prem IMO and if no one has been brought in then it could be a hammering. As for Boyd, its catch 22 whether he will succeed down at B'ham, as they have been playing with one up and one in behind. Boyd isnt going to chase the game or hold the ball up but if they need something and are creating only a few chances, Boyd's the man to take those chances. He needs to give up the bevvy though, its done wonders for Hutton, but Boyd still looks like a fish out of water at times when he drifts out games. Will be interesting to see what develops over the next week or two.

I think Boydy would do ok in the Premiership tbh. If Brum get Boyd and McFadden then i reckon they will stay up

Get off his back man, so what he got a bit lucky, he never came out at the end of the game and said we deserved it. Not many teams will goto White hart lane and get three points. And tatically he has been spot on since taking over at Scotland.

Whats to say a Villa or Newcastle job might come up in the next ten months or a top job in France? Football is an unpredictable business. I think his stock could get higher if he gets us to the World cup so i would wait and see what comes up in the next ten months. I doubt he'll be in any great rush to leave Scotland

Eck wont go to Birmingham

One last push. We are so near and yet so far in a group we thought we'd have been embarrassed and out of months ago. A resilliant and gutsy set of players have huffed and puffed through a group littered with world class teams and world class players. Novemeber 17 will be a party win, lose or draw as thats the Scotland way and rightly so. This group of players and the two management teams have given us our pride back. We've more than played our part in this group, and had we been in any other group, surely we'd have qualified by now. Surely we will fall at the final hurdle and lose by a late goal to the azzurri and bow out of the race to the Alps, afterall glorious failure is the Scottish way . . . or is that all about to change?? It may not always have been pretty and the fingernail may well be non-existant now but dont let anyone tell you we dont deserve to be here. Walter Smith and Alex McLeish have been tactically spot on so far, we've attacked when we've needed to attack and we've defended when we've needed to defend. Its been a long time since Scotland have had a team that have been so organised and together. Scotland as a whole has been united with even both sets of the old firm setting aside their differences for the greater good. With Saturday getting ever closer and the hysteria surrounding the game mounting higher and higher, 50000 bravehearts are about to gather at Mount Florida and march towards Hampden having not slept a wink the night before. Can Scotland do the impossible and beat the World Champions? Will Saturday the 17th of November go down in history as our greatest triumph? Will the 18th be our biggest hangover this great nation has seen? Lets hope so . . .
