  1. Was shocked to hear this news. Remember him well when I started going to Rangers games with my grandfather in the 1970's. How old was he? Anyone know?
  2. Waghorn needs someone of better calibre to play alongside him up front. Hopefully this will get resolved in January
  3. Don't worry. Won't affect us.
  4. Dalglish inherited a good side when he became Liverpool manager. When he started rebuilding that's when the problems began. He resigned in 1991 and was replaced by Graeme Souness who fared no better
  5. The problem is that there is simply not enough TV and commercial money in the SPFL. And the ten SPL chairmen who decided to vote Rangers out the SPL in 2012 must take most of the blame for that decision which was commercial madness. However they will all soon be made accountable for that decision when the BTC is won & if Whyte gets convicted. For 'sporting integrity' they can then read ' contingency liability' which their clubs may well end up facing.
  6. There's not a hope in hell of the yahoos moving to England. Their anti-British, militant Irish Republicanism is well known South of the border now. We're stuck with them unfortunately
  7. I don't understand how Green can possibly be entitled to have his legal fees paid by Rangers. I could understand a past or present employee of a company getting legal fees paid by that company for any sort of litigation against them for any actions or work during their service with that company provided they were seen to be at least trying to act in the best interests of the company at that time. But this is direct criminal proceedings against an individual is it not ? Or am I missing something here?
  8. And that's never going to happen is it? That's what their existence is all about.
  9. I thought LFL were getting struck off at companies house?
  10. There's no way on this earth the yahoos(with their militant Irish Republican baggage) would be allowed anywhere near the EPL.
  11. Dermot Desmond ( or is it Desmond Dermot ) is a deluded man if he thinks ra Shellik will ever play in England. The truth is everyone down south has opened their eyes and realised what a vile anti-british club they really are. They're Scotland's problem & no one is prepared to tackle that problem in this country. They could always try the League of Ireland but I suspect they'd get the same response from them.
  12. With our two 'ultra attacking full backs' why don't we play 3-5-2 ?
  13. I presume the main reason the SFA let him off so lightly was because the courts did likewise
  14. Whilst wishing Craig Mulholland well in his job I think we all need to take a dose of reality & not to get over-excited about our youth set-up. Getting it to regularly produce young players for the first team of the calibre we would like is going to be very difficult indeed. As I've said before on here, often it is only when a young player steps outside of his age group does it start to become apparent what level they will reach. We'd be be concentrating on improving what we've got as a scouting system rather than the youth set-up in my opinion.
  15. 'Thompson's track record at Dundee Utd is encouraging'. Maybe they should ask how he repaid that debt to the bank & on what terms. They are a club who seem to be constantly short of cash reserves for no particular reason. After all they do not seem to have any problems getting a buyer for any of their best players do they? They have become the yahoos feeder club. Rangers-hater Thompson voted Rangers out the SPL then set about reducing budgets with no cashcow Rangers in the top division. Months later this cost-cutting led to his well-respected manager Peter Houston quitting. His replacement Jackie McNamara has now gone too probably finding that the job was pretty much impossible Do Newcastle Jets knowwhat they're letting themselves in for?
  16. Scottish football has gone backwards since 10 clowns of chairmen voted us out of the then SPL. In time they may be brought to account for that decision which was based on a fictitious EBT tax bill. But the consequences of that decision are there for all to see. Since then it has been difficult to get sponsorships and a significantly better TV deal than the paltry one we've got. Until Rangers are back in the top division competing for the title Scottishfootball is meaningless in every sense. Whether the league is extended or not is irrelevant until then.
  17. If they've done that then that's one helluva gamble is it not? Don't forget too that Liewell said it was costing them £10m per season not having us in the top division with them. Consider that along with their much lower attendances and their CL money will be well eaten into I'd think. I also don't believe some of the transfer fees quoted for some of the players sold either. I think sell-on fees, signing-on fees, agents fees etc are often included. Does anyone seriously think Van DIjk quadrupled his value in Scottish football in two years in a top division which is a one horse race? And getting thumped in Europe?
  18. Since Rangers got voted out the then SPL, clubs have been cutting their budgets due to the reduced revenue. The effect of this has been that there is now not that much difference between 'bigger' clubs like Dundee Utd and Hibz and 'smaller' clubs like St Johnstone, Ross County & Inverness. Aberdeen are the main exception to this mainly I'd say due to the sterling job McInnes has done there During his time as Dundee Utd manager I've never viewed McNamara as anti-Rangers unlike his chairman. It will be interesting to see if McNamara has anything to say on his departure as getting the budget reduced was what caused his predecessor Peter Houston to quit. The job was perhaps much more difficult than he'd envisaged largely due to his chairman being part of the ant-Rangers crew who voted us out & didn't consider fully the consequences of that.
  19. We will still need 3 or 4 quality players to put a serious challenge to the yahoos but that is by no means insurmountable
  20. Maybe they could find UEFA jobs for Rhegan & Dumbcaster too?
  21. If we can get ourselves a couple of 25 goals per season strikers then we will be more than ready to challenge the yahoos next season, assuming we're promoted of course. We must remember too that the yahoos are nowhere the side they were when we last played them in the old SPL 2011-12. Their best players have all since gone & they've had some spectacular failures trying to replace them. I also suspect there's a bit of mind games going on here too with MW trying to provoke some sort of reaction from them.
  22. Platini is the one I want to se gone. Too close to the yahoos for my liking. Who can forget those pictures of him and Reid at the Giro dome?
  23. Is this the Falkirk who got horsed 7-0 by Ross County last week? I wish I shared your confidence that hibz won't be a threat to us. They're a better side than you're suggesting IMO.. Just ask Aberdeen.
  24. No one is saying we're going to win every game 5-0 but our performances over the past 2 or 3 games haven't been as good as they were right at the start of the season have they? Perhaps teams are getting wiser as to how we play or our lack of options upfront is becoming apparent.
  25. Hibz will be 4th? Don't think so
