I did have some sympathy for Smith as he is a LB and rarely got played there. He did his best at left MF but it's not really his position and you could certainly get players better than him for that role.

The loans are not repaid on death. They are to be repaid somewhere like the year 2150 whereby the trustee will be long dead before then & the loan never gets repaid.

Well they weren't exactly under-the-counter payments being given to Rangers employees as yahoos would have you believe. They were above board and a perfectly legal form of tax avoidance via a loophole later closed by George Osborne

They weren't contracts. They were effectively loans which would never be repaid. Had they been contacts they'd have been subject to taxation

The EBT's were included in Rangers audited accounts every year. In that sense they were legal. Did either the SFA or SPL not look at these accounts & think to question who or what these EBT's were for? And if ur looking for payments not included in registered contracts are the SFA saying this was the only one of its kind? How about the six figure sum paid to McNamara following the two players sold to the yahoos at the start of this year. Is that included in his contract registered with the SFA? Just one such example of course. And the 'celtic link' in this case is obvious is it not?

It is a company which is in a liquidation process. It hasnt been liquidated yet and won't be for ten years or more probably. I don't share the view the BTC is meaningless because it's oldco. We were supposed to have cheated by using EBT's to get players we couldnt otherwise have afforded. Who can forget the vile Michael Kelly on BBC2 Newsnight demanding titles should be stripped because of alleged taxes due ? Now it's been proved to have been perfectly legal it is a pure joy watching people like Kelly getting proved wrong. Sadly it doesn't look like we'll ever get an apology from them though. Their bitterness and bigotry will see to that unfortunately.

If Lee McCulloch wants to become a coach let him prove himself elsewhere before he comes back to Rangers in such a role. He is widely perceived to have over-stayed his playing career at Rangers and earned himself millions he'd be unlikely to have got anywhere else. It would be an act of utter folly were this to happen. Or is this perhaps some yahoo-journos attempting to put out a negative story about Rangers?

Sensible people don't buy these rhags but I'd imagine the type of person who'd buy the Sun would need to get someone to read it to them

Most are into the final year of their contracts I think. Given there's little chance of any of them getting a new contract my guess is MW & SDoW will want to move them on if possible

Exactly. Lies & false accusations must not be left unchallenged. That is where a strong, robust CEO earns his corn. Use litigation if necessary. A lie told often enough can become a truth. Many yahoos still think we cheated using EBT's despite the LTTT & UTTT victories & LNS ruling.
