  1. Absolutely right, sorry. They could have done more nonetheless, but a lot of times you probably depent on players and agents agendas. And if they tend to wait until the very end of the window, so be it.
  2. And same with Argyriou of course.
  3. Definitely what I thought about a central defender. Boca may not have been the best of these, but he was consistent, experienced and balanced as far as I'm concerned. This would be the time to bring Faure in, interesting to see if he can fill that spot with missing plenty of last year through injury. Still a young lad after all.
  4. Why the hell is that? Doesn't make any sense at all does it
  5. It's been the last day though, at this point things really speed up towrds the end so this has really have been taking their time away from handling transfer issues imo
  6. Got to be Jig. He may not be the youngest anymore but as somebody above said, he is a worker on the park lus he got the guts to read a lad the riot act if need be. Anyway all teh best to Boca over in Spain.
  7. Having the option to watch games later is a hell of an argument since paying the 240â?¬ and missing games was my biggest concern. But that sounds mighty good to be honest, really don't see why I shouldn't subscribe right now. Yeah avoiding score, that's really going to test my discipline. But I'm hopeful to bear up. Thanks, you helped me with that!
  8. I've been thinking about ordering the same subscription all day. Still couldn't make up my mind as far as being able to watch all games due to work schedule goes. I picked up somewhere you had that subscription before, can you recommend getting it? Hefty price indeed but as you say, supports the club that evens it out a bit, for me at least. By the way, why is live coverage of games only provided for overseas subscribers?
  9. Sure could score with a header or two.
  10. And the first one is something really bad then I believe? Can't make it out by the look of it.
  11. '****** b******s' What's that supposed to mean? Just curious.
  12. Fair point mate. Guess it just would have been so common for Forres to make the move to a bigger ground and grab all the money they possibly can out of a match against a big club like Rangers that it didn't occur to me they actually want to play at home for the sake of their supporters.
  13. As far is I'm informed, this is the norm in every other large European league. I know that Div. 3 is not exactly that but compared to where we aim to be and what our expectations are, this is should be the way to go. 2nd tier in Germany definitely works with morning and afternoon session, probably even 3rd tier.
  14. Then again, what he has to say about bluenoses is a bright light of tolerance and pluralism. What a nutter. Wonder if this one ever writes about his own club or just about us. Seems to be so in love with RFC that he forgets about Celtic. And yes, this should be taken action against. Chris Graham was perfectly right, if he would say this about any other group he would face some time in prison, rightly.
  15. Yep. But only to 1200 of them. You think there would be more of them showing up if the match was to be played at a bigger stadium? Just wondering how many supporters these guys would pull since this is likely a memorable match for them.
  16. What I was wondering this morning, what in the world is going on within McCulloch to twitter about being at the driving range at noon. He obviously knows people are going to read it (in fact that's why he does it in the first place) and also does he know he and his teammates have pretty much stuffed the last match up. If he's no complete muppet he must've thought about this kind of giving the impression the lads are taking it easy after a horrible match. Otherwise this is patently cheeky.
  17. Cheers mate. And that is that tremendous indeed, wearing a bath robe and having the occasional caucasian is as good as it gets! Especially in Vegas. As to the youngsters. I presume Ally has done so, only wanted to point out the time these kids are getting on the park shouldn't exclusively be influenced by their actual performace.
  18. I think what must come into play here is potential rather than just judging a player based on current performance. Ally will have to ask himself where he sees a kid by the half of the season or in a year. What assets are already there, which ones are likely to improve, which ones could surface and in general, how is he going to develop? Attitude should be taken into consideration if you ask me. All that together can help getting a clue whether or not a young player is worth getting minutes on the pitch or not. But I agree craig, there needs a be a minimum amount of performance of course. You won't let anybody put on a blue shirt and let them have a go if they are useless now but could be good in 5 years.
  19. Regarding the sessions at Auchenhowie. I felt that the team could be in a better shape physically but 3 hours a day is just ridiculous mate. Shocking. I personally have never played football above a very regional level (talking second to last league here, it doesn't go down much further) and even there where preseason training session that would last longer than 3- 4 hours.
  20. I'd say this is true in general. What seems to be a fairly successful way is Mourinho's approach. He rants at everything and everybody, referres, journalists, other managers, other teams, other players and what not. But he seems to be protective of his own players. Looks like this works out well enough.
  21. This guy's played in the German 1st and 2nd league for most his career and I've never even heard of him. Upon seeing a picture of him nothing clicked either. He can't have had too many minutes then can he...
  22. Very good essay I reckon. I find it pretty sharp how Waiton points out that tolerance today means quite the opposite of what it actually means. It creates a bubble of tip- toeing and trying so hardly not to offend anyone that it's almost paralysing. The popular opinion at the moment seems to lean towards "I could insult somebody somewhere so Id rather do or say nothing at all". Unhealthy I believe. As Thinker said, I would consider football to be outside of that because after all it's game. What happens on the park and what happends on the stands as well. It's being bloated out of proportion.
  23. Plus we don't have to pay his salary. Not sure how much he was on though.
