  1. The press just wait till we get beat then contact Naismith for a comment. It's orchestrated by the media to antagonise rangers fans so in turn our reaction gives them another story. One day we will stop being manipulated so easily, and stop reading or watching any Scottish media sport coverage, it's whole purpose is to antagonise.
  2. At this point would take pulis and breath a massive sigh of relief. I agree with others saying he's defensive but in all honesty if we were good at even just one aspect of the game we could easily challenge for the league. Bring in pulis spend the next 2-3 years teaching the squad how to defend, and bring in proper defensive training, then when pulis has ran his course build on that defensive unit, by bringing in a coach that can defend but also be more expressive. That or get bilic in. His passion would set the cat amongst the pigeons in Glasgow and cover the tactical deficits. Either way we need £2m a year for manager
  3. Only reason king wants someone who knows the club is so they don't try to change anything, and excuses of its worked in the past will cut it. Heaven forbid we put together a better plan then spending way more than we need to too achieve mediocre returns, while funding this pointless spending spree on the back of guaranteed European money. Same idiotic business plan as Murray had. Our problems in our running, and while we would all rather not, we have to address it first and foremost. Pretty much every major position at the club is held by an amateur, we have nobody of an industry note in any position and seem confused at how this produces amateur results.
  4. Why does he need to know Scottish football? What's so special about it? How come every Scottish team gets pumped in Europe if you need special knowledge to compete against Scottish teams? Worst manager in our history was Scottish and knew the club better than me and you put together. It means absolutely nothing. We aren't special or different, just like every other club with demanding fans we expect to get a return on what we spend. What we need is someone who knows how to mould a club from being an absolute mess into a functioning unit. Won't happen for 500k The man to build our club back up should be the most expensive employee in our history. We should be looking to bring in the most experienced manager we can possibly attract, not absolute nobodies like mccinnes. The board need to remove king and anyone else thinking the past is the way forward from decision making positions. Unfortunately Looking like another couple years of infighting on the horizon.
  5. Every time they go wide they have a guy free at the back post. Get it sorted or its a matter of time
  6. Why should the club show more concern towards a managers wants than what is best for the club? Managers selecting signings on their own is antiquated and quiet frankly bad for clubs. Manager whims should not be the main directive of any club. No one person should shoulder the responsibility of player recruitment or your at the whim of that person. Teams with philosophy set by club with manager input is the very best approach just ask Southampton.
  7. Anyone on twitter ask him if he's still the main protagonist in that private club with des Mcqewan. The one that only employs and uses catholics. Please go a step further and ask him to disclose the name of the group he's part of.
  8. Couldn't care any less what religion they believe, only thing I care about is their character.
  9. One big positive right now is the young players. It's the young players that are bringing the poised performances and correct attitude to games.
  10. We need to reconsider our wage structure. It's as simple as that. Is £500k for the manager and upto £1m for first team coachs enough? To be honest I thought we always over paid and this should be the amount we pay ,but on recent evidence we need to reassess and see if it's a hindered applications. Up the budget to £1.5m see what new options it creates, if better candidate stands out, cut the cost from elsewhere .
  11. King wants mccinnes and has looked at no other options. The rest of the board have agreed to leave it to king so long as he covers the costs. Nobody else from the board wanted mccinnes and have tried putting alternatives forward but with zero success. With mccinnes words in a few of the news stories today it seems he didn't believe he had full backing of the board . That's true he doesn't. Same as he doesn't have the majority of fans on board either. A decision I think he will regret in the long run, but ultimately is best all round. Now the board need to be smart for once. Release a statement confirming murty until the end of the season and quietly go about figuring out what we need to do to attract a better calibre of applicant.
  12. Mccinnes took two days to consider offer but has decided he would prefer to stay at Aberdeen according to statement out
  13. It's funny but not funny reading all the guys who put so much faith and hard earned cash into our club fight and refuse the reality where we are ran like complete a matures and select managers based on who their mates where. Mccinnes would never be in the dugout had he not played for the club. Simple as that. He's not the best candidate and that is why no other candidate has been allowed to be put forward or given any serious consideration. Friends in high places with the ear of King plus kings own hankering for the past have got their man the job.
  14. Name is impossible without the full list and contact details Remit however is easy. Must have demonstrably shown tactical ability to breakdown banks of five. Must have the ability to change games and exploit weaknesses in opponents. Needs to have a winning attitude and never say never outlook. Must instill in his players the belief that only winning even against the odds is acceptable Must play attractive modern football. Must have shown a ta tick strength that can compete against teams with far bigger budgets. Must be consistent Must handle stress with ease and be the sort who excels under pressure and lifts his game when the pressure is on. He needs to have a track record of getting more out a squad than seems possible and a history of finding out the box solutions. He must have a knowledge of successful and available player markets with history of returns on outlay. He must have a history of using youth players and continously bringing youth through year after year to success. And last but probably not finally he must fit the playing style and formation laid down throughout the club that sees periodisation utilised from kids to first team for continuity. Mccinnes ticks barely any boxes. All I've heard is he knows rangers and Scottish football. If you needed specialist knowledge to compete with Scottish teams they wouldnt be getting beat at pretty much every opportunity. Nobody finds it hard to beat Scottish teams, no knowledge of the league outwith the norms is needed, it's just ego talking, thinking we are special and demand special care. We don't.
  15. It's only worth while if paying the million pound is the only way we would have attained what we did. Think pretty much all of us agree that what they will bring can be had for zero outlay. We don't have a million to gamble on such low returns. Plus it's becoming apparent the dof is as out dated as king. Two peas in a pod that would rather rewind the clock than write a new future. How do you see mccinnes repaying that million pound in a way nobody else available could have? What makes him and his team worth an outlay of nearly £2m this season? God even asking that makes me shake my head in bewilderment.
  16. No the main argument is he's a terrible manager. His tactics are woeful, his formations one dimensional and his ability to affect a game zero. Being bad at something doesn't make you steady? He will fail at us and fail badly and we as a club will pay the price. It's not rocket science, it's as clear as day. Like saying that guys a very poor player, he could easily be the worst player we have ever had,we should sign him, he will sort us out. So just to be clear it has nothing to do with Europe that's just evidence he's a poor manager. The problem is I would put far far more money on him being a bigger distaster as manager than ally McCoist, than I would put on him to be even a remote success. That's not safe or steady or remotely what we need. And yes that is where I rate him, the worst we have ever had in our entire history, and I have near zero doubt about that. He's dreadful.
  17. The real world where mccinnes and do docherty are worth £1m? Nothing about the way we are run is based on the real world it's all based on the past.
  18. Personally think the club has no idea how to identify a manager that we need. Two biggest skills needed. 1. Can lift his team and play every game like a cup final 2. Can break down two banks of 4/5. Last twenty minutes when we went down to 10 and reverted to two banks of five Mccinnes was unable to take any advantage. That really worries me. It looked like he failed to give his players the formation and tools they needed rather than his players failing to follow out his instructions. That's not to diminish our players achiements they were superb yesterday and gave it their all.
  19. Alex Ferguson was competing against the best teams in Scotland. Derek Mccinnes hasn't been. Hearts, hibs , Dundee utd and Rangers all out the mix. His win percentage is meaningless especially when you consider he has had double the budget of the rest too.Not so sure AF had double the budget of the other teams. At best he has done the bare minimum expected with stats making it look better than the reality as they often do.
  20. Looks like clear evidence he can't lift his team for big games. Problem is every game at Rangers is like that.
  21. Not just us. Aberdeen under his stewardship have the worst win % against the old firm in the league I believe. Even kilmarnock fair better.
  22. Sorry for the fat fingers won't let me edit
  23. True go back a couple weeks and Aberdeen were embarrassed by a team with a fraction of their resources.
  24. Atleast Murty knows the youth players inside out. It won us the last two games, so agree would much rather go with murty than mccinnes if that's the level we are stuck with.
  25. What's with you? How can you watch football for so long but still be completely incapable of seeing the wood for the trees He doesn't have a clue as a manager, just look at when we went down to ten men. He couldn't even take advantage of that. Several youth players and his only plan was put a big guy up against them??? Completely laughable. He played into the main strength of our young centre backs. Amateur level stuff really. Also since mccinnes has a track record of never using youth you can kiss goodbye to the young boys we've been watching lately. Mccinnes would never have played mccrorie as a holding mid, never in a million years. Does mccinnes even hold top coaching certificates or just the minimum needed?
