-
Have had to mute the telly. Can't listen to walker explain how brown elbowing people off the ball is okay
-
Needs to take Mckay off he's to much of a wimp for old firm games. We can't afford to carry him in the hope he does one bit of magic

its a lack of trust and knowledge like this that made the panel demand their names be kept secret. They didn't just pick a name out a hat, his past successes and failings were just a very small facet of the whole. He has history you know nothing about. He is not new to Scotland as the media and itk posters on other sites have claimed. for example he put several players forward to Celtics scouting department who made a killing from them. So signing him not only strengthens us it weakens our rivals ,a small bonus. His presentation was the best by an absolute mile. His knowledge of players completely differed from the knowledge base already open to the club. He also had fantastic references and qualifications. Give it a week and I am sure all this and more will come out once the old firm game is out the way. He was even able to state weaknesses in the team and areas he needed funds to cover. No ifs buts or maybes he just hit straight down the line and that was respected. It's old firm day Pete put this aside and hope for a win and this week should make things clearer on how the manager was selected and why ,and you don't need to believe any fans or posters online, just the club. -

No we don't. I was one of the first to denounce Green. The difference was there was actual reasoning. those who put the money up picked this candidate, nobody else. There was never 60 candidates and the majority of the names posted by people in the know where false. Two names where selected by a panel put in place by the board the board then chose between those two candidates. End of story. -

Can we please take this thread down. Some of us come here to get away from the lies and hysteria. -
One other thing that can be taken from this appointment is the fact we have upped the managers salary by £200k. £800k a year is about as much as we should spend on a manager in my mind. It was disgusting to pay previous managers £2m a year, a completely unjustifiable amount.

The only thing embarrassing is this thread and the paranoid posters! The two choices the board had to pick from where put forward by a team put in place by King and co. They didn't have 60 choices that's a lie posted on a message board by an anonymous poster. People need to get a serious grip. Nobody knew MW before he came ,the only inkling we fans had of him was through proximity to England. Posters who think this is a weird choice should realise you know nothing about his merits or even what is wanted from our new manager. That has been evident from the names being flung about by fans. McCinnes, Mcleish and co were never in the running or even on any shortlist as their footballing philosophy does not match the clubs. To be completely honest most fans don't even seem able to properly assess the skills being looked for never mind an individual's merits in meeting them. Got to second what gaffer is saying too. Used to think fan involvement at the club was paramount to future success but it's became very obvious the fans need kept in the dark and far away from decisions. -
suspicous? What'd you think is happening ? park and co got together and thought how can we blow millions of our own money? It's their money on the line so if you think they are not doing everything they possibly can to mitigate any loss your miles off. Do you really think they have put in £4mish each to not do what's best for the club?
-
only a 3% precentage difference in win ratio to games between WS and AMcleish. Very surprised by that, shows how fickle fans can be(inc myself). Thanks for posting Gribz

£300k to buy out 45 days seems excessive

Your right mate What had Alex Ferguson achieved before Aberdeen or Walter Smith before taking over at us? It's the man that should be judged not just past achievements, he's not a player he's a leader and it's more important for his role that he has a strong character and will to win. You want your manager to epitomise everything the team on the park stands for. He reminds me a bit of bilic. Have always wanted that kind of passion on the sidelines, cannot wait to see it.

Get the feeling this guy could be great for us or it could fall flat on his face a couple of months down the line. The players will hate him. There too lazy and unprofessional to enjoy his apparent management style. It's all a matter if the club wants real change away from the old boys network and turgid Scottish style football or will they buckle and back lazy players as usual. The manager gets my backing until he doesn't deserve it

Is it too much to say the signing of caixinha spells the end of the old boys club nature at Rangers?
-
sometimes simple is best

Had been told the deal would be announced tonight take it nothing is out yet?
-
it's something I know zero about, will it be effective in Scotland against teams who sit deep against us? Worrys me a little bit it sounds like counter attack stuff

David Weir joins Aston Villa’s scouting department

Reads to me like they don't want a management job till they get money from us. Sums them up. -
understand you hate him for zero hour contracts but you don't hate him as a rangers fan for zero hour contracts. Its has absolutely no connotation with those who support Rangers.
-
he would need to show no control over that person, so doubt it would work in this instance esapecially when the retail deals etc go to his benefit.
-
The story comes from the records sister paper who have links with Newcastle . A paper who clearly are willing to publish lies. Dual ownership is not allowed as the story states and Rangers fans don't hate him because of zero hour contracts. We hate him because he's a conman. Also for a takeover to happen someone would need to sell him shares, a fact that is nicely ignored . Guessing but would be my opinion that negotiations are underway between King and Ashley and its became clear to Ashley's side that King will not be moved or bought so they are trying to undermine his position to advance their own negotiating position. I wish the board had just bought the sports direct contracts out from the get go. Would be worth paying < £10m to rip the merchandising deals up. Should be an aim of fans groups to get a number on the table then take it from there.
