  1. hes not allowed to control two clubs.
  2. A red card for taking a fresh air swipe at the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a millisecond before he hit the ball that the Hamilton player touched it out the way.
  3. oofffttt meow Frankie
  4. McCann just decided what the ref gave it for. On tv the ref made no indication it was for a pull. The commentary today was disgusting. The Hamilton player tipped the ball out the way with his toe making garner take a fresh air swing, next thing we know the commentator is calling it the worst decision he has ever seen, evidence of garners mentality, and a clear red card, and that garner meant it as he was LAUGHING AT THE INJURED PALYER! A complete and utter misrepresentation of the incident saying the very least.
  5. other than having to decide to mute the telly rather than smash the tv I am very happy after that. Well done all involved. really nice to see the strikers getting the goals nowadays too
  6. would the visa issue not open up the south american market?
  7. Are we allowed to say The style of play Mcleish immplements is out dated and boring? With the Portuguese guy atleast you can get excited by the unknown.
  8. This is not a definite but a couple weeks back I was told the Portuguese guy was the boy from southamptons pick. Putting two and two together....
  9. In everything but the legal sense. Usual source. I'm abroad and struggling with my phone but last I heard this morn the two names from the panel had resulted in the Portuguese guy being picked by the board. Guessing here but imagine they are waiting for him to come to Glasgow to finalise and make the usual media releases( but I emphasis that's my guess on why it's not announced yet)
  10. At the end of the day opinion matters nothing. It's frankies decision and he has shared his reasoning so there can be no real complaints. It's a very minor inconvenience. We all know what they are and how we feel about them and if they ever raise their heads above the parapet in relations to the gers we will chase them out of town once again
  11. It's the Portuguese guy.
  12. The wrong decision now could be the final nail in the coffin. The only thing that has kept the club going is the fans. If the board do something stupid like go with Mcleish it could have massive negative ramifications and risk the ability of the club to continue. For me this crossroads is that important.
  13. Hard press conferences to deal with for anyone. Thought both did well considering the clear agenda driven questions. It often sounds like the media are asking questions that force answers to fit already written pieces. The thing I took away from the press conferences over the last few years is that Rangers employees, no matter who is up to talk , all know the media in front of them are liars. Agree wholeheartedly .
  14. We need less transparency not more. We cannot accept reality as a fan base and our support unlike other teams crosses classes giving our support vast differences in perspective . This week I have heard we spent to little, we spent to much, we don't want a DoF we do want a DoF. we can't get a large majority agreement on the main infrastructure let alone the specifics. All our support does is cause trouble and argue. Doesn't matter what the board do we will have large disagreement across swaths of the support not just little pockets here and there. Our fans are a problem not a solution when it comes to direction.
  15. It does right across the top in big blue letters it clearly says statement from dave king. Its also discussed (badly tbf) in the first paragraph and also he signs of as just dave king. They also placed it right next to the official club statement which is titled as such.
  16. Yeah i remember the comment about inheritance in reply to the question how does you family feel about this. Dont see the issue he has put up the money he said he would, not sure if it comes out of anyones inheritance mind you. not sure why it matters tbh. the term investment literally means all assets bought with a mind to a future return, the argument is whether that return comes under personal investment or not, for me the return in this case is not a rise on purchase price which would make it a personal investment but the control of the club was the intended return making it part of the project. Its all getting a bit chicken and egg. In my opinion it wasn't a personal investment in the typical sense as the consequences of that purchase was the desired outcome not the shares or monetary return on those shares. In fact DK tried to buy the shares through the club but those in charge at the time refused the offer, if they had accepted ,this same purchase of shares, would happily be defined by all as part of the investment which goes to show how fine a line we are talking about. And as said the statement released was not an official club statement from the chairmen but a personal message to help minimise the media stories. All i can say is there would be no point in lying because basically he didn't need to, so i think in this case we can give him the benefit of the doubt and from now on take all talk of investment as including the purchase price. Its not much to ask for is it? Think we all need to start pulling in the same direction and go with the flow until something completely unforgivable looks inevitable. If we want transparency we need to listen and try and understand not take the default position of questioning every word.
  17. think this is the bit that has annoyed people £18 million of the originally estimated £30 million investment has already been made. Ultimately, the overall investment in any football team is driven by the net player spend and, given that we are behind target with our squad, there may be a further need to accelerate investment at the end of this season. It is my present personal view that we will, in all likelihood, invest more than £30 million before we are where we want to be but this will be revisited once we have a new permanent management team in place. at no time is personal investment mentioned i dont think, only as a group as to not defined a s a project that's not true. It has been talked of as a five year plan constantly and the term project has also been used on several occasions
  18. It wasn't released as a club statement it was released as a personal statement from dave king the official club statement was released two days previous. Think he tries to explain that fact in the first paragraph but fails tbh. Check the club website its clearly stated as a dave king statement he also doesnt sign off as chairman.
  19. it wasn't a personal investment it was the first step of a defined project. Each member didn't look at the club and decide to buy shares for monetary concerns and personal gains, they bought a combined controlling interest so the project could begin. It wasnt an ad hoc purchase of random amounts of shares that just happened to give them the percentage they wanted. The shares are a fundamental part of the plan implemented by king and the three bears and clearly come under the definition of a project. Ask yourself this could the project as it stands happen without first the purchase of those shares?
  20. if we follow this reasoning we now need to start putting out statements for those fans who work in the financial markets another for those fans in the legal professions another for butchers another for plumbers since words and meanings often differ across professions, that or the speaker/writer could define the terminology and everyone could stop trying to force comments through their personal prism of knowledge! No matter how you take his words the truth still stands be it £18m or £12.9 it is still within the promise made of £30m over 5 years, But still we moan. The quicker we go back to not talking to fans the better for the club and also the moral of fans. We clearly don't have the ability to grow and learn collectively. The same crap was all explained the last time a club statement mentioned the investment to date.
  21. And i have experience running projects and companies and this is how investment is always described. Turn it round then if you think he is purposefully being misleading then why would he do so? £12.9m is still within the promises made.
  22. people should be educated then. No personal investment was taken with the sole goal of making a return. The purchase of the club was part of a five year plan. That is a project. no two ways about it. Maybe the board should dumb down their comments to limit the amount of false complaints and misunderstandings. Each week it becomes a little bit more apparent that transparency will never work if those being spoken too dont understand the basic concepts involved. Maybe it would be better to return to the DM way of things and ignore the fans. When investment from the board is mentioned its in regards to the project. The project being the buying and running of Rangers. It would be far more reasonable for those who misunderstand to change their view than expecting each club statement to come with explicit definitions. Its their mistake in not understanding , not just the boards. If you thought he meant £18m given to the club then you where wrong, not the statement. It wasnt misleading either. The reader was lacking in the skills needed to understand. So from now on they will know that investment when mentioned by the club defines the resources expended on the project. Any money the same people still moan the next time, even though they now understand the terminology.
  23. fair enough maybe a poor example so you don't agree the term investment is linked to the project? And costs associated with a project cannot be tallied or referred to as investment even though thats the definition of investment?
  24. so are liverpool and man u in trouble? their boards did exactly the same thing Your changing terms its not a personal investment its a facet of the project, indeed a key component. # If this is the level of complaint they must be doing a decent job.The term investment includes all resources put towards the project. same as when fuel is charged back as an expense, the same principle applys. The cost of the fuel didnt go to the project but it facilitated the project so is included
  25. To invest means to put money or resources aside for that project. The literal definition of investment in finance is to use money to acquire an asset that in the future will give you a return. Anyone not including the purchase price is wrong in afraid
