  1. is O'halleron not in the dog house same as Forrester because of bad behaviour?
  2. This side are never going to take >50% of our clear cut chances. Never going to happen with any regularity. Unfortunately with the amount we concede we really need to. We created 4 clear cut chances against Aberdeen in my opinion. That's not enough for a team who take maybe 20% of chances Let's see if we can beat Patrick thistle with any sort of margin first before we start saying we will do this and that. All teams need to do is sit back and soak up pressure knowing we will convert little. Luckily it will not take much to get second. As I said the other night start scoring goals at home and we should make it. This league is not very good or challenging we are just making it look hard
  3. If you run from every person who hates you then how could you ever be man enough to be liked?
  4. Being the joint lowest scoring team in the league is frightening for a team built on attacking football. If we can start scoring goals at home it should be enough to get us up the league quickly.Only st j and hamilton have scored as few as us at home(3) Sounds easy! here's hoping
  5. Think it will get harder as the season goes on Frankie. The worse the weather and park conditions the more it plays into the defensive teams strengths. I agree luck is not on our side right now and we can hope to see that change soon and hopefully grab us a win here and there in a tight game. It could also be said though that for all the possession we had we wouldn't have scored if not for getting a penalty. For me we need to change to two forwards and drop out the wingers altogether. We need to find a midfield formation that wont be drastically harmed if we have 2 or 3 injuries. That being said i dont think MW will do that. Most likely we will keep doing the same thing and hope the tide changes before its too late
  6. did barca only win two from seven whilst playing two of the bottom 3 with a -3 goal ratio?
  7. think i am a realist. Our best performance of the season we drew and in our second best performance(today) we got beat. Do i think we can perform much better than today? No. Not on average, in a single game yeah but not with consistency, game here or there luck will play a part and we will get a win but that swings both ways. Keep in mind can is different than should! We just don't have the depth in goals , set plays or defence to massively change our performances right now. We are going to miss more chances than we convert and we are going to keep slipping goals. The way i see it MW didn't buy many goals he bought chances with the belief if you create chances you get goals but it doesnt work that way. You need to create and take. The balance is way off and until rectified we will struggle. The defence can always do better but with the way we play we will never be a strong defensive side and that is fine as long as we are a strong attacking team. Right now we are a strong possession team and that's it. Think the main target now has to be to stay in touching distance of second until January where we will need to spend money if we want to secure that spot. Will we spend? who knows. If MW thinks todays performance was fantastic and of a level that will win the majority of games in Scotland then he is wrong. They're is tougher challenges ahead this season than faced so far. Wait until the winter it will only get harder. This should be our strong period when we can get the ball down and play.
  8. as you say we all have our opinions and rightly so. In this case i honestly hope yours are right and mine are wrong. Would rather see us win than be right
  9. we have a few issues for me. Fitness in what should be key areas of the field. A couple of the midfielders just don't rotate and move as they should largely because it isn't natural for them to do so. Training and time will help of course but time is the enemy. The front three have to be strong finishers in front of goal. Personally don't think one is enough if you are going to concede pretty much at least a goal a game as this formation likely will cause. For me you really want 20 goals a piece from the front three at the very least from two of them. We just don't have players that are naturally composed in front of goal. As you say they are too far apart, for me that's because none of them naturally float towards goal scoring spaces or attack the ball when it enters the box.
  10. believe me mate i would much rather be saying its just around the corner and we have what it takes. I hate losing it goes against every fibre in my body but a rose is a rose as they say and all we can all do is call it as we see it. Every game like everyone else i hope today is the day and I get all excited and expectant before kickoff. Even at halftime today i was just praying the front three could find some composure and take the chances.I suppose that's the addiction and love for Rangers that we all have.
  11. no i prefer the barca style of play we are trying to adopt. But to do that and win you have to ensure you are strong in the right areas.
  12. we didn't get beat because of the ref. That is not a fact. Fact takes in the full contest not a single second. Aberdeen got a free kick because of the ref. That is it. We got beat because we scored less goals.
  13. Excuses every week. Sorry but eventually you just need to put our hands up and say we are just not good enough. Our weaknesses out weigh our positives. If we want to play teams off the park at the cost of height and strength then you have to have an abundance of movement, vision, stamina, belief and finishing throughout the team. We don't and until we do we are going to struggle in this league.
  14. said it on here when we lost out on promotion the first time that a big part of me was happy to get another year away from them all. If it wasn't for playing in the Champions league i would prefer to stay in the championship. The last four years it has been all about the football and the club. I had never spent so much time looking into every aspect of the club and started taking an interest in things like our youth policy/set up etc. Football was fun. The premier league in this country has sucked all the fun out of it and replaced it with a burning hatred. Its time to ban all away fans from Ibrox and also stop travelling to these clubs. Let them die a slow death. I understand the wanting to back the players but it would be in the players best interest if our support was not there as it would most likely lower the atmosphere/ passion/hatred on show
  15. That's what i do Ian. All you have to do is download the free zenmate vpn (just google it). Once downloaded an icon appears on the taskbar(small shield) that allows you to toggle between on and off. Keep it off and purchase the game from RTV for £5.99 then just before pressing play for the game switch the vpn on. Hey presto Rangers get your money and you get to watch our games without listening to the usual biased commentary
  16. All gers fans with video of the incident should be careful they don't mistakenly delete them?
  17. Fantastic result exactly what we needed. You could see the confidence flow through the team once we scored
  18. Tinkering for the sake of it. Poor decision in my opinion.
  19. I would like to see a settled side. If Saturday was our best performance of the season there is no reason to see any changes. Professional players should be able to handle sat tues sun with no problems
  20. I just wish we could see tangible work being done on our weak points. It's one thing to stick to a favoured formation but there is no excuse for not doing a single thing to make us better at defending corners and scoring from them. Not one thing has been changed or altered in over a season to better our chances. Our approach is the same as day one.We do the same things over and over expecting different results . Same can be said for our lack of penetration into the box. Forward drops out and nobody fills the space. Talking about it and analysing our play is second to actually working on it during training sessions. I honestly think training( as in out on the practice field ) is used solely for fitness.
  21. would imagine the squad had a say in this also. Believe they were in yesterday wouldn't be amazed if they came in to discuss their feelings moving forward once the game was out the way.
  22. Sorry if this has already been covered but is Barton not employed by talk sport?
  23. Football is a competition first and foremost. 11 v 11. Luck plays a small part only. For me coaching is the main problem. We identify problems and discuss them but seem to do very little work to actually improve. For near on 6 months we have failed to attack the ball coming into the box nor improve our runs from midfield into the space. MW seems to prefer the main striker through the middle to drop deep and pull the CB out of position but he has done nothing to fill the space created. What's the point on the forward dropping to lay off a ball which then goes wide and into the box when our striker isn't present. It's just poor tactics. At first I thought he was a great coach who could advance the players style and technique, now I'm starting to think he is just a man motivator who plays a numbers game Don't get me started on MW substitutions! Still sure he picks the double sub before a ball is kicked We need to beat Aberdeen and hearts if we can manage that then there is still hope for 2nd. Drop any points against those two and I fear it's going to be a very long season
  24. 5 points from 9 at home against Hamilton Motherwell and Ross county only managing 3 goals in the process is as close to losing them as winning.
