Rangers 0 v Ross County 0 Post match Discussion
trublusince1982 replied to JFK-1's topic in Rangers Chat
Don't see how we have been unlucky. We have been poor it's nothing to do with luck. Finishing is poor, defending is poor, pressing is poor and movement is poor.Fitness levels are average at best. Yesterday was our best performance of the season and we still couldn't beat Ross county because of our below standard attacking movement in the last third. The movement through the middle is amateurish. Nobody is in the box looking to get on the end of chances. We stand back watching the game hoping a chance falls to us instead of attacking the ball or space The formation doesn't fit the players available in most games and as the manager admitted last week some of the players don't seem to know their roles yet. The midfield we have brought in doesn't work as a unit. All the problems are of our own making nothing to do with luck. An idea when players are not understanding their roles and lacking fitness would be to stop giving so many days off and getting them in for extra sessions. The managers approach has been to let the squad work it out verbally. Stuff that get them working. 2 wins 1 loss 3 draws 7goals for and 9 against in 6 games is terrible league form. The Time to get the finger out and decide on a settled line up was weeks ago. Overall it's not good enough and no excuses should be made. We must beat Aberdeen and hearts. A heavy loss to either and he's under serious pressure. -
when i seen barton take the freekicks instead of tavernier it gave me pause. You get these guys who come in and think they are better than everyone and make it known. It never ends well

A simple pressing game would do wonders

The managers instructions on pressing the ball or lack of are baffling . All season we have stood back and watched teams with the ball until they reach our final third, mental.

Happy with that team!! Full out attack! Bring it on! Cmon the gers

Lee Wallace pulls out of the Scotland squad

Was not in relation to leagues mate. Was meant in reference to lack of patriotism towards Scotland. Be it national sport, councils or simply being proud and loud about your home land -

Really pisses me off to see so many rangers fans chased away from what should be theirs. It will always be Queen and Country for me. Giving up on your country of birth because tims are fighting harder for it is our shame. -
We should pullout of the Scottish cup until a proper response is forthcoming

This is the time for a real backbone. Refuse to participate in any games until the SFA do a real assessment of the circumstances and punish the attack on our players. Anything less is a capitulation and acceptance -

Agree whole heartedly Pete. Why anyone would be given a holiday while performance is below par is beyond me. -

Does the manager pick the best team to win or the best team for moral? -

Gers 4-0 fgs garner -
Let's wait an see why we have paid for the guy. Pretty confident come Friday's full time whistle we will all understand why
-
best thing about the 7 points is we have still not found our feet. If we can keep getting three points until that time then that's a sign of champions
-
thought the defence looked better today especially as the game went on.its now the pressing and attacking that's the problem.Miller out on the left with dodoo in the middle seems a better option right now. That being said with the quality of the crossing from Tavernier, Garner is going to score a barrel load with the head. Krancjar when fully fit will destroy teams his flick in the middle of the park was sublime. Onwards and upwards

Tavernier is worth more than £2.5m. Would be short sighted to sell him for that. -
