    That is precisely what a board is there to do. The reason for them shirking that responsibility(ego, bravado, a smokescreen to allow plundering to take place unhindered), is immaterial.

    There are more non-Catholics in the EU than there are Catholics. The song is not elevating any one person, it is taken from a street gang song, a gang who, while they were from a Protestant heartland, also fought Protestants from other areas. There were probably other songs sung about them. It most certainly a part of what Rangers is all about as history and tradition are as important to some as handwringing and profit are to others. I'm 99.9% positive that you will not be banned for your comments.

    It would appear so. FIFA have, in part, reacted to the media onslaught towards Suarez following the match. While I believe the sanctions to be about right given his previous, I must question why there has been no retrospective action taken against Chiellini, Sakho and Giroud for their use of elbows. The media silence on them has been very telling. If the football authorities are going to use video evidence to deal with incidents it must be done in an even-handed manner and not because of a baying press pack out for blood.

    If you are bang to rights, deny, deny, deny! Any apology would have been viewed as insincere, and given that this is his third act, quite rightly so.

    Quaint, but history is littered with teams who fell from grace for one reason or another and have never fully recovered. It all depends what you regard as 'the top'.

    There are some hellishly tight games to analyse, especially in the top half of the draw.

    That's sensible from FIFA, although I fail to see the point of a stadium ban. They have done well not to allow the rabble rousers to set the agenda. Will miss 9 Premier League matches and 3 Champions League group stage matches. Will be interesting to see if Uruguay appeal this for Saturday's match v Colombia. They don't have much to lose, but Liverpool may have something to say on the matter.

    I don't believe that many want to hear the board's bullshit on a more frequent basis, and as for any notion of inactivity, they have been busying away behind the scenes since before they even got here, so what's to suggest that anything has changed?

    Look at the votes at the AGM - even Stockbridge was deemed a worthy asset by a hell of a lot more than 27% of shareholders. I think you may be underestimating the power that is now held by a handful of individuals.

    I don't have the necessary skills required to write an article, Frankie, I shall leave that to the professionals. I don't know the guy, so I shall have to take your word for it about his motivation for sending in the complaint.

    Will the media be badgering FIFA to act on the Sakho and Giroud elbow incidents in tonight's match against Ecuador? Nah, didn't think so.

    Would you be taking umbrage if they were talking about a baldy, a fatty or a specky? Methinks not. The PC mob may be taken more seriously if they included EVERYONE in their quest for equality and harmony instead of the usual hobby horses.
