The RST has tonight released the following statement:
Rangersitis replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
This smacks of the RST attempting to raise their profile, not to mention a wee GIRUY gesture, by muscling in on VB's petty tit-for-tat territory. Have any of the mock offended on here ever taken part in, or even just been witnesses to, the singing of songs about Doyle, Burns, Macari etc? Did you go to the authorities demanding action be taken against the perpetrators and their club? Nah, didn't think so. -
Meanwhile, in the boardroom......

I originally saw your username and thought 'Prince of Orange'. Having read a series of your posts, I now think 'McMurdo'. Transparent.

Naismith: Rangers fans have been treated 'appallingly'

Fair enough, I'm going back to lie down in my darkened room. -

It would have been better if they had all stayed and blown Green's plans right out of the water. -

Cheers. Some things are just too important to let pass without comment. -

I thought you understood the TUPE regulations? If they had chosen to transfer over, Green had absolutely no say in the matter of them staying. Had they decided to sit tight, Irvine would have set to work on an alternative strategy of attacking these money-grabbing, professional footballers who have no care about anything but themselves yada yada yada. That too would have been lapped up by gullible fools like yourself. -

The bit where it is YOU who is saying it. Charles Green wanted them to TUPE over as per the regulations, yet he didn't want to honour their contracts as per the regulations. Aye, that seems fair. -

You have no idea what they would have done had they chosen to stay, so just for once, how about you stick to the facts instead of concocting yet another fucking conspiracy theory? It is also striking that you resort to using McCoist as a reference given the revelations that have come out about him and his reasons for staying. -

He said "My loyalty is with Rangers, not with Sevco, who I don't know anything about." He was absolutely spot on with that. Why would he choose to lose more money in order to line the pockets of Green and his cohorts? This shite about having his salary paid when injured is a complete red herring. Every club has to take out insurance which covers a player's wages when crocked, so it was the underwriter who picked up the tab, not Rangers. You don't appear to understand how TUPE works either. If he and all the others had agreed to transfer their contracts over and then sit tight on their hefty wages, where would that have left Green's little plan? -

Apologise for telling it like it was? Steven Naismith is the one who should be receiving them from those who have sullied is name in the past, and even worse, continue to do so to this day. -

Steven Naismith saw Green for the scam artist that he is and told him where to go, whereas Lee "I would play for nothing" McCulloch was lauded as a true blue for continuing to pick up his massive salary.....because he knew that no other club would touch him on those rates. Now, even with the benefit of hindsight, the hard of thinking still can't see what was going on and continue with this pathetic, uber-Bear vendetta against a player who comes from a good Rangers family and whose credentials are well known. -

Alloa chairman confirms game will go ahead next week
Rangersitis replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
No quibbles with that, Zappa, but if McCoist has no problem with playing the game, why was he prepared to screw the fans over on the previous occasions? -
I don't disagree, but that 'over-exuberance' is a pale shadow of the agenda-driven pish which is being adopted by a fan board which has two members who have been more than happy to repeatedly slam Houston, Graham et al for their stance towards the directors and shareholders. The whole thing stinks.

With the manager stating that he has no problem with the decision. Looks like he's eventually had his wings clipped. -
It's not only down to him. The rep for the females has a similar mindset, and as this proposal made it through the discussion stage, there must be others.

I really can't see this fan board recovering from such a catastrophic start to it's existence. It's credibility is shot.

Ahh, but would they agree to talks with organisations who have links to groups who are under the control of brutal, totalitarian dictators?

He has already stated that he agrees with the proposal. To now turn back on that, in the face of criticism on Gersnet, would only succeed in him alienating the wee ragers over on RM. Mr Harris has made his bed on this particular issue.

Can you confirm this version of events, and if so, was there any dissent among the eleven board members? Thanks.

Are you referring to the proposal of 'kid on fan groups being swept aside' made by dunny?

If there was a stipulation made for unelected leaders, why did the minutes not stipulate that? As you studied the minutes and requested some amendments, why was that one crucial word not part of those amendments? A cynic may think that that omission was most opportune in helping to enable the RFB even greater powers once the detail was lost in the mists of time.
