  1. Is that the same Goss that played for us? I had blanked him.
  2. Our build-up play is atrocious.
  3. I want to see more of Natindo*. A £2.5m winger should be playing more. I think he's got the same numbers as Kent, but half the minutes. * Bizarre autocorrect, but I'm keeping it.
  4. Motherwell 1 - 2 Rangers FGS Colak
  5. I might have to change my prediction from 0-1 to 0-2...
  6. Incompetence will remain. However, I think those decisions that are more clear cut (e.g. offside, etc.), VAR will improve things.
  7. 'Mon The 'Well... 👀
  8. That should be the case anyway. Even after just appointing a new manager, we should still have a shortlist of managers we're tracking for the next appointment.
  9. I'm looking at the positive: an extended run for King. Sold in the summer for £30m.
  10. I suggest you do some reading about a DoF model.
  11. Arsenal just beat Bodo/Glimt 0-1. The Norwegians did well, and should have scored. They spent nothing in the summer; just free transfers. Arsenal spent £120m. Liverpool spent £80m, compared to our £12m. Pumped. There's a gulf, but 1-7... ? Edit: I got the wrong season: Bodo/Glimt spent £7m this summer ... My point still stands!
  12. Yes... I'm not convinced he's on a lot. Certainly less than our first choices.
  13. Was it likely that Souttar would be injured? Yes. I don't have a problem with it though. He was a free transfer, and when he's fit and firing he's one of the best in the league. I think I've asked this before, but is he actually injured? I thought it was a bereavement thing? But then, he's been out for a while, so it has to be an injury.
  14. You are right in saying that signing players to sell on is a major part of it - well, it's key - but a player trading model is only judged successful when those players are sold. Buying just laying the groundwork, so to speak. I think you're being a tad pessimistic - that's usually my role here...
  15. The average age of my team posted yesterday was 23, but you dismissed it as "the stuff of nightmares", that it "[w]ouldn't be fair on King" (a youngster), and that it would "work out badly". Hmm...
  16. Wasn't there just an interview from Bennett saying the trading model has only been in operation for less than 6-months?
  17. Possibly. But I think we're in the mix, financially - outside the top teams (Brugge and the big three in the Netherlands) in those leagues. And, we have the added bonus of having a better pathway into England.
  18. Possibly. I don't want dinosaurs like Warnock - that's a huge 'NO', for me - but younger guys is fine, as long as they have an ability to implement a certain style. Salzburg can appoint youngster after youngster (Marco Rose, Jesse Marsch, Thomas Jaissle all come through their academy) because they are able to implement a certain style. We should also be able to attract managers from smaller leagues, like Knutsen - unless his status is higher now after their European exploits. I know our finances are limited, but they're still higher than many clubs.
