  1. For Hibs at home and OF game? Sink or swim for the lad, but I'd go with Barisic.
  2. The potential issue with keeping him around is he doesn't play (I hope we are signing a better left back) and or worse, keeps getting injured and we'll never recoup the outlay, nevermind make a profit. If there is interest in Ridvan from Turkey and its £3M or higher, I think we need to take it. Regarding Tav, there are rumours that 2 or 3 Saudi teams are looking to bid for him. Reported fee of £6M which would be hard to turn down for a player of his age. Whether he'd fancy life in Saudi is another matter entirely, as from what I've heard he is really settled here.
  3. The lack of merchandise is a disgrace and I don't think all the blame can be laid at Castores door. Things like accessories should be produced and sold by Rangers. There is a market for these things (golf merchandise, key rings, eggs 😀, kids t-shirts, ties etc) we should be exploiting it. Retro tops / trackie tops etc is another sector we failed to capitalise on. Regarding Castore - I have only really bought kits for one of my lads and everything I've purchased has been 1st class. I've purchased a 1/4 zip training top and Castore hoody for myself and again, both have been 1st class. I understand others have had issues with Castore, but my personal experiences have been excellent. Whilst the merchandise department has been very successful and one of the better operating "pillers" of the club, there is room for improvement
  4. I think the major frustration for me is the fee we paid for him (that's not his fault), I was expecting a player who'd burst into the team and outperform Barisic. Facts / stats show that's not been the case and he has spent more time injured (or settling in?) than he has playing. His performances have improved recently, then dipped against Benfica which was probably a mix of the quality of opposition and the fact Ridvan looked mentally and physically gone. In all honesty, we'll struggle to make much of a profit on him and I'd sell for "break-even". However as said previously, with Barisic going at the end of the season, it's unlikely we'll sign 2 left backs as money / replacements required elsewhere (unless we pick up a loan or our of contract player). Especially if the increasing rumours of Tav leaving are true. But that's a separate discussion for another thread.
  5. The sensible thing to do is replace both 😀 however, can't see us buying 2 LBs in the transfer window as there are other areas of the squad that require strengthening. Quite a conundrum especially if Ridvans injury is serious and he's out for a number of months, he'll not have teams queuing up to buy him.
  6. Hope its nothing serious but with his previous injury record and our luck, you never know. In my opinion, and I'll be in the minority, if he is to miss out on games, his replacement will be Borna (Sterling at a push depending on how our centre-mid looks). Barasic is a natural left back and Sterling is a right-footed utility player. Just emphasi that we need quality replacements in that area and that pointless international friendlies should be scrapped.
  7. Or Punks are just more fun 😀
  8. Coming Bill's way in 3......2.......1.......
  9. Yeah one of my old bosses who is originally from Glasgow and now stays in Dalgety Bay supports Man U and has already been on at me to go and meet up. Told him I'm not paying £42 😀
  10. Heard a trip to Hamburg is being discussed.
  11. At pushing £50 for a ticket, think I'll give this a miss. It'll be carnage anyway - 35,000 Bears v Man Us tourist fans 😉😀
  12. Eric Liddell
  13. Good move for Borna Barisic if true. Would be great to see him leave as a treble winner - been a good servant and value for the £1.5-£2M we spent on him.
  14. A regular at Rangers Sports Days
  15. Great video and great story. All the best John (and his pal) - heartwarming and heartbreaking
  16. Derek Dougan - Wolves and Northern Ireland. Sure he played in 1958 World Cup and helped Wolves to 1972 UEFA Cup Final
  17. John Charles in his Juventus days
  18. All joking aside, it's in our interest for Lammers to continue to do well whilst out on loan. It's the only way we'll be able to move him on in the summer.
  19. Never said he wasn't a dud, but he's not even close to being anywhere near as bad as those listed and many others not listed .
  20. Not arguing that point, but he is no where near the worst player to play for us.
  21. I bet anyone could name dozens of Rangers players who were worse than Sam Lammers. You only need to think back to the dark days of League 2, our wilderness years in the Championship and the barron years of the early to mid 80's. I'll start, I'm sure we'll get there very quickly Ian Black Billy King Michael O'Halloran Francis Jeffers James Beatie Andy Kennedy Bobby Williamson Carlos Pena Salim Kerkar Sebo Nuno Capucho The Newcastle Five Every player Le Guen signed with the exception of Sasa Papac Feel free to add, there plenty more Late edit and contender for the award, I give you Mr Kevin Kyle.
  22. Hearing Dundee asked SPL to reschedule kick-off to 3:00PM as believed weather would improve and they'd have time to sort the pitch. Their request was refused (presumably due to game being chosen by SKY). Dundee and SPL have a few questions to answer.
  23. Handy when your on a RSC and on way to Dundee.
  24. When Dessers signed for us, I'm sure it was Ronald De Boer who said Dessers is an enigma and is a confidence player who'll eb and flow over the course of season. Think we are witnessing him "ebbing" rather than "flowing" at the moment. Silva to start and Dessers to come on later IMO.
