I don't have "sympathy" with Club1872, I lost all interest when I stopped my subscription. They can continue to purchase shares, they can continue to fund UB displays, they can disband - its of no interest to me as I am no longer a member. I don't feel the necessity to tell them what to do - that's their choice and if their members are happy with their vision and plan, who are those outwith the organisation to argue. As said previously, if you are unhappy with the direction of Club1872 - go join them and put your vision / suggestion for them to the members.
-
If the "club" were willing to deal, or even meet with them, then the money would go direct to the club. I can't see the issue with an organisation that was set up to buy shares buying shares. If they can get shares for 20p rather than 25p or 40p, then it makes sense to buy them. They don't hoover up peoples money. People contribute freely (or have done previously), those who continue to be members do so freely. Maybe you should join and put your proposals to Club1872 board and membership?
-
It isn't... The club refused to sell Club1872 shares at 25p a share, so they bought shares from someone at 20p per share. The club diluted shareholding and pushed Club1872 holding under 5% - Club1872 purchased more shares and are now above the 5% threshold. I await the club issuing more shares to push Club1872 under the 5% then Club1872 purchasing more shares for 20p and the cycle will continue
-
But the current board won't sell shares to Club1872 so I can't see what other option they have. The club diluted every shareholders shares with the latest issue, so Club1872 have purchased more (we can only assume it was from DK) - I really can't see what people are getting so worked up about. For a group who are a "tiny irrelevance", people have a lot to say about them, especially those who aren't members. For the record I am no longer a member of Club1872 but have no issue with them purchasing shares (as that is what they were set up to do).
-
Voted for Soutar but it was a tough decision...
-
It appears that with the recent share issue(s) by the club had diluted Club1872s share % and left them under the required number of shares required to have voting rights. This purchase (of DK 20p shares?) means Club1872 have sufficient shares to have voting rights.

Regarding NEH - way over budget and opened whilst not been completed. Has there been any communication as to when the museum will open and what concerts are booked in the near, medium and longterm? The more you hear / see regarding NEH you can't help think it was a vanity project that has spectacularly backfired.

Agreed, that's where the board need to earn their corn. We need to start from the back. We need a keeper and a centre half. Once you stop conceding goals, you only need to score 1 to win a game. Currently we need to score 3 or 4 to win games. MB and his staff have worked at clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal and hopefully they have contacts. I understand Ross Wilson getting criticism but I can't be the only one worried about the rumours he won't be replaced and MB will oversee recruitment. Just stinks of more penny pinching from the board (or we are more financially hamstrung than we imagine). Cutting back on the medical department and our horrendous injury list (and lack of general fitness) can't be coincidence.
-
Remember we are hamstrung by FFP and are repeatedly told by the board that we have little to no disposable income. Our latest accounts showed we spent circa £12M on NEH and that all the income from Patterson / Aribo and Bassey has gone. We have no players who'll attract decent fees however Kent, Greegsn Alfie et al leaving will free up a hefty slice of wages. Critical/crucial period for the board as its a case of can't afford to spend big as well as can't afford NOT to spend big.
-
They have money to bring in a proven goalscorer, we don't. That's the biggest difference.
-
The team will depend who is fit. One look at the bench today shows we are down to bare bones. Goldson will go straight back into starting 11 if he is fit as will Kent. Said previously that I'm dreading next week - can't see how we can win the game (unless we bring our A game and they bring their C game).

A stat taken from another forum Here are the stats for each of the goalkeepers who started this weekend: Roos saves 71% of shots at goals. Clarke 66% Laidlaw 68 Birgitti 68 George 62 Hart 67 Kelly 66 Carson 61 Walker 67 Matthews 62 Marshall 59 McGregor 59

Beale saying Raskin played with an ankle injury - WHY? Also hearing Rangers buses attacked on way out of Aberdeen and a few injuries to young fans.
-
If we are honest with ourselves, it's been coming. We've ridden our luck under Beale. Papering over the cracks and just shows the magnitude of the job Beale has to turn us around.
-
End of season can't come quick enough. Dreading next week as well.
-
I had to read that twice as was wondering if you meant the players or your good self 😀

Probably not, but it want Kilmarnock though was it? Let them celebrate, it might embarrass some of our players. On reflection, it probably won't.
-
What, Ryan Jack who is always injured? That Ryan Jack?
-
They've gone from relegation material to 3rd in league which will get them European football. 7 wins in a row and not lost a home goal from open play since Arfield scored the winner up there in our last visit. They've just put in a terrific performance and handed us our arses. Think they have genuine reason to celebrate.
-
I think some Rangers fans are in for a huge disappointment in the summer.
-
Me to mate - I wasn't gonna renew this season but did against my better judgement. Might listen to my head and not my heart this year. Feel so far removed from the club and fear we are rudderless and there is no reason to believe we'll get closer to them
-
It's OK them turning up against the dross but they've not turned up when it really matters. Can you honestly see them turning the tide? More likely they slide into the same mindset as their teammates. Given our finances, they'll be surrounded by the same serial losers next season.
-
Off course they will, we have no money so will have to suffer more of the same for a few years to come
-
Aberdeen have been everything we haven't today and that is simply embarrassing
