  1. Nice a completely different proposition now
  2. Here comes the raft of changes from both teams
  3. Finished above them in the league I think?
  4. Whilst Thursday's game had a real game feel to it, this far, this game has a pre-season feel about it! However, we have played well in stages, looked organised and dominated possession and chances against a very young Nice team. Goal was a great move with Aribo winning ball in midfield, playing a great pass to Kent who played in Defoe who produced a clinical finish. See what the 2nd half brings
  5. Decent 1st half performance - creating chances, great move / finish for the goal and Aribo looking really good in midfield. Expect changes in 2nd half from Nice so bigger test in 2nd half I'm sure.
  6. Nope, petulance and may miss two league games- deserves a fine.
  7. If he gets a ban (and he will) he should be fined a months wages
  8. Sure I heard on commentary that Lyon had played some pre-season games.
  9. Well played Rangers - lots of positives to be taken from tonight's performance. On to Saturday now.
  10. Jinxed it, now injured - be out for weeks now ?
  11. 2 sitters ? both brilliantly set up by Barker TBF
  12. What chance the SFA slap a 10 match ban on Kent for violent conduct ??
  13. Soft, especially given the assault on Jack, but srupidly raised his hands so it's technically a red. However, Rangers in Europe with 10 men (or less) is a common occurrence ?
  14. Oh and we have to give 2 years notice before leaving SPFL
  15. Not too many new faces, so it'll be the "tried and tested" from last season with a splattering of youths. Timely reminder, it's a pre-season friendly against top class opposition. Therefore a win doesn't signal a romping of the SPFL and Europa League and a defeat doesn't signal calls for heads to roll and a culling of the team. ??
  16. RIP Robert - thoughts and prayers with his family and friends. "And with the angels I'll be singing, up in heaven there up above, I'll be singing follow follow to the Rangers that I love".
  17. I give up, your right, let's join the Vauxhal Conference tomorrow.
  18. Yeah 50,000 plus in the Vauxhall Conference League paying £500 pounds for a season ticket - players like Kent, Hagi, Davis, Defoe, Borna willing to drop to that level and take a huge pay cut in the process ? 50,000 plus waiting 5 years at least (in reality it would / could take at least a decade) to get to EPL with no European football or cup runs and little or no TV coverage ? Not to mention how much money the club would lose via sponsorship deals, corporate hospitality and other commercial deals. All assuming UEFA, English FA and English Clubs agree. Where do I sign up?
  19. Yeah and 50,000 fans are gonna turn up and watch Rangers play Solihull Motors, Torquay, Hartlipool etc ? UEFA would never sanction it, and neither would the 100's of English clubs awaiting entry into the English leagues.
  20. No it wouldn't and you still not answered the UEFA question. More chance of playing in League of Ireland than EPL - top English clubs don't need Rangers it's as simple as that. Oh, more chance of Scottish clubs going "tits up" than English clubs.
  21. What clubs going tits up? English football doesn't need Rangers sooner you wake up to that fact the better. UEFA would also be required to rubber stamp any move, so that's it scuppered before it's even started (unless English football is willing to forgo European football).
  22. Not to derail the thread, but how do you suggest we get a fresh start in England , or any other national league for that matter? Genuinely interested.
  23. This is a strange move by SFA given that their attempts to "bully" Hearts and Thistle in the court case were deemed unfair by the judge and specifically called out in his summery Desperate times and desperate measures?
  24. Aren't we playing Hamilton today in a bounce game?
