  1. 100% - so many people quick to dismiss the Black Lives Matter slogan and talk about the Black Live Matter movement. Our players and management are supporting the slogan and message and supporting anti-racism not a (perceived) Marxist Movement. Its not to difficult to understand if you just sit back and think for a minute. SG raised his fist - is he showing supper for a black power movement that wants to enslave and degrade all white people?
  2. So where and when have any of them said that all lives don't matter? I think you'll find they'll believe, like most, that all lives do matter. However, there is undeniable racism faced by people of colour. They are right to call this out and right to highlight it now and to continue to highlight it until it stops. Yesterday, Alfredo was called a black bastard on Instigram. Undeniable racism that is received less uproar from Rangers fans than CG taking to his knee. Utterly baffling. Let's go after the racists and not those seeking to eliminate racism.
  3. So blithely accepting players taking to their knees opposing racism can be viewed as ignorant? How can anyone argue against anti-racism and players seeking equality? Are you seriously saying all our black players support tearing down statues, defunding the Police and the Palestine cause just because they take to their knee and rightly say black life's matter? Or are they just sick to the back teeth of being called a black bastard or similar? Said before on the same day Alfredo was racially abused, some Rangers fans appear to be more upset by CG taking to his knee opposing racism than Alfredo being racially abused. Anyway, splattered all over the media now - we have a choice, we either support or players and club, or we publically criticise them - know the path I'll be taking
  4. People can criticise away but it makes them look ignorant fools. Imagine taking to the knee to oppose racism - pesky Marxists the lot of them eh.... Players are partaking in the "circus" against racism and support for equality - not hard to understand is it? If you don't agree with it, fare play, just ignore it. No need to criticise those doing it and telling them to get to fuck out of "our club". Personally I'd take 1 Connor Goldson over 10,000 racist arseholes every day of the week. Now being reported in the media, so as said above by forlanssister, a complete and utterly avoidable PR disaster.
  5. Interesting to hear SG talk about "egos" in the youth ranks. Was this directed at Kia Kennedy in particular or a shot across the bows of the youth players in general? May also be behind the coaching reshuffle?
  6. For however long it takes for arseholes to stop racially abusing people - simples
  7. With out going back and rereading Goldson's posts, I'm sure he mentions discussions, education ect. Said earlier, if any Rangers fan has an issue with our players taking the knee, or raising the first, engage with the club and the player rather than abusing them anonymously on social media - does neither party any good.
  8. Agreed, but perhaps we should read / listen to Connor or whomever decides to partake in the gesture? And it doesn't take away from the fact that CG should not be abused for this, especially from so called Rangers fans
  9. With all due respect that is head in the sand mentality. Ignore people racially abusing other people and it'll go away - holy fook
  10. Agree to disagree with your 1st point but agree 100% with your 2nd point
  11. But it's not political, it's about racism and equality. You are free to support it, not support it, ignore it. What you (me and anyone) doesn't have the right to do is abuse the person doing it.
  12. Yes, right here in Scotland. As said above, I've heard racist abuse directed at our players from our fans at games. I've witnessed our players being racially abused on social media by opposition fans. Racism is alive and well and on the rise in Scotland.
  13. So all the songs referring to us as Glasgow Rangers need scrapped and / or rewritten? ?
  14. Think you may be in for a suprise - in my opinion there will be as much, if not more support, in the Arts than there is in Sport.
  15. CG has repeatedly stated his support is for equality only. Can't see why he is getting grief for this from our fans. As for reporting it to the Police, maybe once you've reported 3 or 4 incidents and the abuse continues, you look for other option? That is not a criticism of the Police by the way. I have family members who receive racist abuse due to skin colour, I have workmates who receive abuse due to their religion. Maybe BLM isn't the answer, but there is a REAL problem that needs urgently addresses and fixed.
  16. Really? If you discuss Rangers in North America, people will assume New York or Texas, we'd be way done the list. I was always brought up with us being Glasgow Rangers.
  17. Serious question - has anyone on here faced racist abuse on an ongoing basis? I pulled someone up at the Legia Euro game for calling one of OUR players as a useless black cuXx - a few folks around me, turned on ME until a few more around backed me. Racism is on the rise and at the moment BLM are the only vehicle for those being abused to jump on. Just try and imagine living your life being constantly abused just for the colour of your skin. How would you deal with it? Finally, for some of our fans to round on our players for simply wanting an end to racism is dispicable
  18. Whispers from whom / where?
  19. It is slightly concerning that on a day where one of our players is once again racially abused, sections of our support are more upset with Goldson taking a stance against racism than the fact one of our players was racially abused. Maybe instead of criticising CG on faceless / anonymous social media, why don't people contact CG, our club and / our other black players and discuss why he / they feel the need to "take the knee". Racism is alive and kicking in this country and its an evil cancer on society and it must be eradicated. I lived out with these shores for circa 5 years and have noticed a huge difference since my return. Maybe down to social media culture, but as above racism is here and no point denying it.
  20. Great finish there - 2-0 Now, can we leave SPL and join La Ligue ??????????⚪???
  21. Rule Britannia rings round the stadium as Murphy rounds keeper but shot cleared off line - should have passed to Alfredo ?
