  1. Agreed, there are not enough novelty celebrations in football. Good on him!
  2. I don't remember that but maybe I am subconsciously blocking that season out of my memory just as serious trauma victims do. I don't think that would matter to them anyway.
  3. nice one, i'll check it later
  4. I'm also surprised there are no wind up songs about the pope possibly being threatend with legal action
  5. I think I read on here something about everyone bringing a newspaper and after the game kicks off we open the papers instead of watching the game. I thought that would be hilarious.
  6. I'm at work and can't access the link. Can you give us a clue?
  7. Most of the fans I know have constantly slated Lafferty however, I have always remained confident that he would eventually come good. He has been an important part of a very good Northern Ireland team of recent years and scored some important goals as well, he also scored some important goals for Burnley so I didn't believe a player could turn shite overnight. Also the management team must see something day in day out otherwise he would have been out of the picture a long time ago. I think the inflated price tag, some of his comments to the press and the aberdeen incident have not done the lad any favours plus he has been unlucky with injuries just when it looked like he was coming onto form but he always puts in a decent shift no matter where he is asked to play. With his build and physical style of play I think he is a major handful for opposition defenders and is good at winding them up and now that he is starting to score some goals he is finally becoming an asset to our squad. As most people are already predicting that Boyd will be away in the summer and it being unlikely that we will have any money to replace him he could be the best we have. Hopefully he will add a few more goals before this season is out and a winner at sceptic park would be the icing on the cake but I am confident he will become a fans favourite next season.

    Subdued

I was out at the pub for the game and didn't get back until late. A great day and a great atmosphere in the pub plus the landlord handed out champagne on the house. I'm more relieved it's all over, it seems like we've been just about to do it for weeks now.
  9. I remember hearing a lot about Bendikson when we signed him but not much since. I think yesterdays inclusion in the squad was his first. Anyone heard how he's been doing for the youth team?
  10. I also heard a rumour that we are to be invited to this years Wembley Cup however, I can't find anything on the net to support this.
  11. If you cannae beat the county you're a tim, if you cannae beat the county you're a tim, if you cannae beat the county, cannae beat the county, cannae beat the county you're a tim woooooaaaaaaaaaaa County, county, county , county, na na na na na
  12. Apparantly up to 10cm fell on Perthshire this morning and there are lorries stuck on the M90. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/8594190.stm I'm going to be out and about today so if the game is called off could you post an announcement via Twitter?
  13. I have to admit I did question Walters judgement when he took off Boyd, I mean not just for his penalty taking but just the fact that he could pop up with a goal at any time even when he is having an off day. However, once again I was proven wrong by the master and Naisy produced a quality cross for a goal that had similarities with Torres's goal against Man U but nowhere near as many superlatives. I wonder if Naisy will earn a start at Tannadice now?
  14. Good point! With so many recent seasons going to the wire I'd almost forgotten what it was like to win by a canter.
  15. It's all very funny but it's actually quite worrying that they believe this shite. Where will it all end? Oh I forgot, it will all end when they start to win again!!! I suppose it's too much to ask to be given some credit for what we have achieved with feck all money when they are wasting millions trying to keep up.
  16. I know this sounds crazy but I hope we don't win it at Tannadice. I was there last season so I hope we win it at home for a change.
  17. I don't remember the South Africans but the Fetai story was quite interesting. I remember thinking he was going to be a star it's a shame when they don't work out.
  18. oh and 18 points from 18. I wonder who will be getting manager and player of the month for December????:giruy:
  19. I've not had a chance to check any records but scoring 26 goals over 6 league games (and only conceding 4) can't be a bad shout!
  20. IMO Beasley was MOTM on Saturday. Just about every move in the first half cam down the right wing and he created the first goal. The St Johnston defence couldn't contain him. Novo was non existant until the second half. Great to see some attacking flair on the wing for a change, thought it added a new dimension to our attacking options. Also great to see Broadfoot back. I think that he is actually a better defender than Whittaker even if he is not as good going forward.
  21. Agree! He was completely lost in the midfield on Saturday and I feel we would be better without him. Move Davis into his position and put Naismith or Novo on the right.
  22. Probably just a tim on the wind up then!!!
  23. There is a txt on the BBC website about Alan Smith on loan. Has anyone heard anything else about this? Also Gow has signed for Norwich.
  24. That's unfortunate news. I thought he needed last season to settle in but was expecting more from him this season. If he goes under the knife he could be out for a good few weeks.

    firhill

Anywhere around Dunard Street (just off Maryhill road) should be safe. I know a few Jags fans and that's where they park.
