The problem I would see if I was an ambitious manager and was being offered the Rangers job is - am I getting money to improve the squad so I can get rid of some of the hopeless driftwood and permanently injured plasticine men currently drawing wages ? You were admiring Rodgers. The point I'm making is, his record before he arrived at in Glasgow wouldn't have filled me with confidence if he ended up at our club. I may be a relative newbie here but determined quite a few months ago that there are some on this forum who have no time whatsoever for members of our board. Events such as the past 24 hours have brought them out into the fore once again. Warburton and his pals wanted to leave. They were given permission to go without financial penalty to anyone. I suspect, much like the board say in their statement, that during a board meeting it was decided to simply accept the resignations and let them move out for free as things just weren't working out . I'd also consider the board knew Warburton & Co hadn't got the NF gig anyhow so there was no compensation to be had.

Rangers released a statement on the clubs site Mac. It explained everything to me. Including who will be in charge v Morton. If we'd held a press conference from 9pm tonight until tomorrow afternoon with every member of the board there to answer every question the usual suspects in the media would still be speculating.
