As usual, @Stevie - 4lads Blog nailed it! This was beyond sinister and we all know it. It's a disgrace how blatant the ref could be, safe in the knowledge that he will not be punished for it. But quite rightly, Stevie focuses on how well our team did to overcome this level of adversity. I actually laughed out loud at his final comment .... "Can you see us now?" Brilliant! ?

But lets not be so uncharitable as to forget those less fortunate than ourselves. There are those from the other side that will not only wake up today to the realisation that their team is not as good as ours, but will then drown in their own poison and bile as they target us again with their hatred. I always say after a loss to them that at least when we wake up the next morning, we've got pride in our club and for being a bear. I thank my parents for raising me properly and for making me a ger for life. Imagine for a moment what it's like to be one of them. Right, that's enough of the reflection and charity .... get it right up every one of them you see today. ?

Morelos was brilliant today , other than not taking his chances. He would have been mine were it not for that stupidity at the end. Barisic was exceellent too though and got my vote. I thought this was one of Goldon's most commandng performances. I never thought we would get such a dominant performance without Jack playing to his best but despite one of his worst games of the season, our midfield still had them chasing shadows. That probably shows that Kamara and Davis did a lot of work today which probably went unnoticed. i said after the Aberdeen game that I saw signs that gave me concerns about the team. To lose the semi final after that just heaped every bit of pressure on us for this game. Gerrard knew that as we could tell withnhis celebrations at the end. Once again Celtic's MotM would be the referee. Utter shambles from him today. The inconsistencies are so blatant but we don't have the journalists willing to call it out.

Why? It was obvious he meant he's had enough rather than directed at anyone. When he sees that incident back again he will calm down and get on with it. His petulance has come back in recent weeks so we need to sort him out again. Having said that, he is being refereed to a different standard. -

That's how it works for them remember! The refereeing is just atrocious. I've got no problem with him sending Morelos off but what about Bolingoli and Frimpong, never mind Christie?!? It's the lack of consistency that gets to us. We just want a fair and balanced ref. -

Get it right up ye. Gerrard was clearly enjoying that at the end. We dominated them once again and this time not even the biased officials could prevent the win. Morelos was stupid to dive there. It looked like he had control of the ball and could have had a shot. Brilliant win and performance though. -

Jack has been poor this game so far. That strange tackle was just one of many poor decisions he's made. Hopefully he gets it together for the second half because we need him. -

1-0 Kent (You know the scoreline I really mean, but don't want to jinx it) -
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas. I've asked Santa for just six more points in 2019, and as we know, Santa never lets us down. All the best to you guys and your families.

When Gerrard was asked how difficult it would be to pick his striker against Killie, he replied "very easy". If that's the case, it really should be Defoe. If Gerrard says that and then plays Morelos, it seems a kick in the teeth to Defoe who was brilliant the other night. Morelos is our best striker but I'd hope Gerrard wouldn't have such loose lips as to unnecessary demotivate Defoe. I agree with @buster. about our team against Celtic. If we put them under pressure they won't be able to live with us. Davis is a super player but we need to be pressing them all over the pitch, so the current midfield needs to retain its place for the level of energy required in that game. Then bring on Davis for the last 30 minutes to protect the 3-0 lead.

I chose Kent, but Jack and Barisic were strong contenders too.

That's was a great performance and result last night. It's a pity that Aberdeen will do their usual and cave in to the other mob this weekend. The ONLY team willing and capable of taking points of them is us. Bring on the 29th. This narrower approach (to accommodate Aribo) looks really dangerous. Aribo just needs to sharpen up and remember that he doesn't have as much time on the ball as he wants sometimes. When he does, he will be unstoppable because he's got all the skill. Kent and Defoe were excellent last night though. Although Defoe didn't appear to do much, his movement was causing chaos in their defence. He's such an intelligent player and his runs are timed to perfection. Jack and Barisic ran the show last night though. They both looked absolute class. I can't believe we've gone from thinking we had a problem at left back to finding that we've got a world class player in that position. There aren't many better players to watch than Barisic. He's a better version of Hutton, who was also excellent at driving forward and creating chances. Loving the football we are playing, and loving the character we've shown. All the pressure is on us for the old firm game but if we keep playing like this, even another wonder performance by their keeper won't stop us from hammering that lot. -

I can't help but feel I should have had full points out of this game. When Kent scored in that first minute I really thought I had it. -

That's the start we needed. That's always a hard ball to keep down. Great goal Kent ! -
You can't defend a player if he's broken the rules. He deserved it so how can Gerrard defend him?
-
The only person to blame for Morelos being sent off IS Morelos, so Gerrard is correct. The problem isn't that Morelos was sent off. The problem is that others are not. Gerrard cannot allow Morelos to feel hard done by when he has done something against the rules. If he had been sent off and didn't deserve it, then that's a different matter.
-
And that's makes it even more painful for them to accept it. I love it!

I refuse to vote on general or local elections, but this was too important not to take the time to vote. Done! ?

I hope you'll agree that this is relevant to post here, because the government today fired a shot across the bow of the BBC due to its bias. We don't want to get in to a political debate here, but there's no doubt that this government's direction of travel is to remove the licence fee. At the very least they've 'suggested' that no one should be taken to court over not paying it. Isn't that a clear signal that you can choose not to pay without consequence? I believe this could be the end of the BBC as we know it. It might continue to be biased after this, but ta least we are not paying for it. And I'd also imagine this means that organisations like BBC Sport Scotland then have to cater for a wider audience if they want to survive. I wonder if that would change their behaviour or if they would rather die in a ditch rather than giving Rangers a fair and balanced coverage. The end of the road for the BBC and their clique? I really hope so.

Steven Gerrard new contract until 2024
Gaffer replied to Stevie - 4lads Blog's topic in Rangers Chat
Manager contracts don't mean anything really, but I hope we do keep him for as long as we can. I've said a few times that it's great to win, but for those of us who remember how tortuous our football was during those Smith and McLeish years (never mind all the crap since), I'm loving the standard of football we are capable of playing these days. If we can start to add a few trophies it'll prove that you can indeed have your cake and eat it. -

Jack had to do that. He couldn't take the risk of them breaking.
