  1. Its as if they've looked at the league table and thought to themselves this one will be an easy wee shift in Paisley and turned up half awake.
  2. A couple of those were from corners yes but not all of them. I don't think we even look remotely like scoring mate.
  3. They've had three or four shots on target that McGregor has had to look lively to deal with and a couple of others that were more hopeful than anything. Other than Morelos shooting from anywhere near the box we've tried to walk the ball into the net yet again and got nowhere with a 10 man defence to beat.
  4. More of the same from Rangers today. From my perspective St Mirren have been the better team.
  5. What you have described has been a feature of our play during poor results and its something everyone including SG have drawn attention to. There are players in the positions however the decision making has been poor i.e there are men avail but are not being played in due to wrong choices being made.
  6. I disagree with both yours and Frankie's post below yours. Kent does very little for me. In 21 games this season he has scored 3 goals and had two assists. In only a few of those games he was subbed so has played 78% thats most of the minutes of those 1890 mins available. I cant remember the last time he hit the by-line. He gets to the edge of the box and then cuts in field mostly to a congested central area and more often than not the ball ends up in or around the D or within 5-10 yards of it either losing it or laying back to one of our CDM's. He never seems to be able to slide/slot the ball through or see a pass to a player making runs into the box. Or he picks the ball up deep and runs across the field from one wing to the other and eventually lays off a short pass to Tav. What concerns me is that he looks busy and because of that players around him give him the ball expecting him to do something with it whereas in truth there is virtually no end product. He loses the ball far too easily either because he's eased off it too easily or because he loses control of it. Although he was more of an inside midfielder we criticized Jason Holt for being brushed off the ball too easily. I'd prefer to apply the same critique here. Contrast that with Middleton who has 3 goals and 1 assist who has had 13 sub appearances and played a grand total of 14% of the available minutes from 23 games, see's defence splitting passes early and makes them and also hits the by-line on a regular basis when he gets a start. Candieas hasn't been much better and has played slightly less minutes/games and has 1 goal and 3 assists so neither of our wingers who have been getting regular appearances have been particularly effective. Ejaria has 2 goals and 0 assists from playing 82% of 21 games so he's not doing much either although at times he looks nice on the ball and has decent close control. Arfield has 5 goals 2 assists from 78% of 19 games which is a far higher return than his team mate in there. The player who is the most productive in the team is James Tavernier who has 9 goals and 7 assists from playing for 95% of 23 games yet people are very critical of Tav when in reality he's by far our best performer and has also had 7 shut outs being a defender also.
  7. Surely the stats that matter are that in all competitions we are -1 goals in 270 minutes of football?
  8. A provincial team who are second top team in the league at this stage only have to go away to the big two and do a job. The league isn't necessarily won against Rangers or Celtic but it could be lost, if you are a provincial team.
  9. No we haven't! September/October has always been when the Rangers have started to get going. The last few years we've been absolutely dire on the heavy ground.
  10. It wasn't a worldy! it was, composure, the type of composure you get when you know the two defenders you are up against have made a right arse of it and you have time to pick a spot and slot it home.
  11. One goal for and two against in 270 mins of football is certainly not good enough for me. I'm done for the night.
  12. They have doubled up on Kent and as a result he's been ineffective. At times he looks like he cant be bothered IMO he needs changed. Coulibaly is another whom they are doubling up on to stop his forward runs but he's still trying. Halliday other than corners has been anonymous and I for the life of me cant think what he brings. Flanagan was one of @pete featured players and by this showing Pete has been correct as Flangan has been poor. Theres been lots of huff and puff and very little quality for me.
  13. Its only Chris McLaughlin from BBC that has had his privileges removed. The other journalist who is not BBC Scotland is Graham Spiers.
  14. No its not only press privilege! Its the constant attacks upon an institution, a brand, its players, management and executive. I would put it to you that the Rangers brand is far more important than you or my feelings. You are correct the BBC are supposed to be impartial however in this instance they are NOT and there is nothing we (you or I) or Rangers can do about that other than to remove those press privilege from the lead perpetrators of the diatribe. Rangers have done this and BBC Sport Scotland has decided not to enter into negotiation to resolve the matter and to back its man.
  15. Funnily enough Gersnet forum and main site is a brilliant resource that catalogues not only opinion of posters but also articles and podcasts relating to all things Rangers dating back to the sites inception. The most recent podcast dated 11/9/18 hosted by our very own Colin details an exact timeline of events and actions by both the BBC and RIFC. Perhaps a review of the details may alter your opinion on the BBCs self enforced boycott of Rangers. you can find it here.
  16. Roughly £16.5 mil sold £18 mil and their squad is worth £95 mil.
  17. Spartak have kicked everything above the grass in this game some of their tackles have been shocking and I'm surprised they've still got 11 on the park. We've played some nice stuff up to the last third and then its gone to pieces. I'm not too worried about it though as we do look like scoring and when we do we'll get a couple at least.
  18. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. The ball hits Pennys arm penalty. Is it not a booking also for giving away the penalty? Not a red a yellow? Then 2 mins later he takes down Morelos in the box penalty again not a red as thats double jeopardy but its a penalty and a booking right? The guys on the pod have had this debate when McRorie got sent of against St Mirren at home let the man go wide or come through into the box tackle take the yellow at the risk of giving away a pen. I'm asking as thats two yellow card offences one after the other but the man is still on the park.
  19. We've had all of the ball possession in the first half. Hamilton have offered nothing other than lofting it into the air to let the plastic pitch do the work for them with awkward bounces they've been dreadful. The ref in my opinion has been pretty poor as theres been more than a few dangerous tackles from Hamilton that have gone unpunished even though they've had two players booked. Theres been a couple of Rangers breaks where the ref allowed advantage were no advantage applied and never brought the play back for the foul. Fortunately we break and Ryan Kent scores an absolute cracker great finish from the lad.
  20. Neil Camerons article in the Herald is nothing more than diatribe dressed up as a polemic. The article is chock full of logical fallacy coupled to a complete lack of self awareness and false concern that its bordering on parody. The Herald used to be considered a decently written paper that could challenge many a broadsheet but this type of tabloid rhetoric shows a lack of qualification toward the subject of which it studies. The above line is delivered completely without irony. You mean like you are Mr Cameron by taking payment for this diatribe? As I've stated above its not a cleverly constructed polemic questioning the Hall of fames selection criteria its simply a hatchet job on a person who clearly has mental health and addiction issues. Disgusting!
  21. Bayern Munich 72' is without a doubt the best atmosphere I've ever experienced and when Jardine scored in the first minute with somewhere in the region of 75-80k Rangers fans it was absolute bedlam. In my opinion its closely followed by Juventus 78' two phenomenal teams in their time same score line for us.
  22. I've seen people in forums talking about such things but I've never seen anything like that in print anywhere. The main point was that Katic is carrying an injury and apparently so is Barisic.
