I suppose if your the Scotland manager you would be happy for the get together. I wish personally we would go back to the wednesday Internationals as you say international weekend is an unwelcome pain.
-
If the Rangers team gave up every time there was a down moment we would be raging. There will always be times when things go temporarily downhill but that does not mean it is the end of the road. As the coaches would say 1872 need to sort out the problem, dust themselves down and move on.
-
PS. Get Waghorn signed up for at least another year unless the boss has a Portuguese wonder striker waiting to come in.
-
I would say get them signed they really have improved us so much and they are so young. I will also put my hand up and say the sharpness of passing yesterday has to be down to the new coaching. I have now joined the glass over-flowing brigade.
-
I really hope Pedro takes Murty under his wing and makes him his 3rd assistant.
-
It is okay putting in crosses but under Warburon we had nobody in the box. In the last few weeks we are getting men in the box to get on the end of crosses.

I thought the Referee had a good game. I can't remember any real bad decisions. In Holland a few referee's have decided football is a contact sport and are refereeing on keep the game going. I hope it catches on as every tackle is not a foul. And every foul is not a yellow card. Get football back to being a man's game.
-
I think Murty started the change but I will admit the boss has taken it a stage higher.
-
Have they resigned out protest or the work pressure?

Agree with all of that Craig but Hamilton is not Celtic so last weeks display holds more weight so again hat doffed to Mutry. We were fantastic today and Toral was a breath of fresh air. For those that don't want loan players I can only say one thing. Get Hyndman and Toral signed on a fast contract. As Craig said Waghorn looks like a completely different player now that Warburton has gone. Tavernier has also found a new lease of life. Hamilton showed totally no ambition to attack and we did not let them show any. This is extremely positive but we will be given sterner tests. The Hyndman goal was a sublime passing goal that was Barcelona class.

The first appeal also went against them it was just the last one where they thought it was common sense instead of what stood in the law. Just a quick question. Why did the HRMC lawyer keep saying an exaggerated "TE" instead of To? Is that a finance thing or a speech impediment?
-
Were the side letters mentioned in court? I never watched it all but I never heard them mentioned any time I listened. HMRC are just determined to get it through that the benefits were earnings so as they can go after other clubs who don't have side letters. This is not only about Rangers it is setting a precedent to go after the rest. There will be a lot of people praying Rangers win.

I feel pretty positive about this. Then again that might be a negative.

Possil man sang IRA songs and wished death of ex-Rangers star Nacho Novo
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
If it is the neighbourhood where he grew up in that caused it then Jail them all. -
You can use all the Buzz words you want but if players can't trap a ball or have a tackle like a ballet dancer then all the tactics in the world won't make a winning side.

I have not been to a masonic meeting in 40 years and wouldn't even know how to get in now but I can never remember any party songs being sung. The masonic is not about that and we even had some Catholics in our lodge as far as I can remember.

I don't think it has anything to do with his managerial skills or even football but Cooper had it at the end of his preview and my reaction was to that. Bullfighting should be banned. Simple. That part of the managers past will never be accepted by me but he has a clean slate and I hope he becomes a great Rangers manager and I can be proud of him for that.
-
Thanks Cooper for the excellent preview. We have had plenty of Bullshitters at Ibrox. I am afraid I don't really hold Bullfighters in high esteem. As SteveC(I think) posted last week they are amongst the biggest animal abusers and torturers on the planet, If you walked up to a bull in a field and did what Bullfighters and their helpers do to the Bulls you would be jailed for many years and assessed for being a psychopath.

I think you will find it has been in Dutch training schemes since at least the 70's and possibly before that. I moved to Holland in 1980 and it was a common practice for years as far as I know.
-
He also said they were adding evidence that was not used in the original case which I would have thought is not possible. One other point I found interesting is that HMRC did actually take a charge for such benefits which means they knew about them and didn't consider them PAYE payable at that time.

Totally agree that Columbo has spent 2 days and 40 different ways just to say they were part of their wages. He keeps saying "If you ask the players they will tell you that but he has shown no written proof that they would actually say that. The only thing he had was an e-mail from McLelland(?) to Bain asking why his wages were not being paid into the trust. I am no expert but it looks like the Rangers lawyers ripped their case apart. HMRC must be hoping for a common sense verdict.
-
I can't believe they have not being doing that in training before, I was doing that when I trained youth teams 20+ years ago. With all the studies of Dutch training schemes it must be impossible that they missed that.

What is a Rondo?
-
That is the reason I thought he looked like Columbo he always came across as a dithering idiot but always came good in the end. I hope the difference is that the RFC lawyer wins in the end.
