His sentence is now 6 weeks. You get less time for assaulting Rangers players let alone just causing a heated argument at the training ground. Time will tell who is right or wrong but in my mind rangers could have handled this far better, certainly with information to the fans without the nitty gritty but just what process is running. You want to uncouple the SFA betting case but I can't see any reason to do that with the information we have. If this was just a training field misdemeanour then the penalty far outweighs the deed. That is my opinion. Why Warburton? Because he is the manager and what he decides will mostly be backed by the board and he is the person who handles man management. He and\or the club has not handled this well that is for sure.

Whether he asked for a delay or whether he refused to turn up are of course 2 totally different things with 2 totally different sets of consequences. If this was the case then I have no idea why they wouldn't put that in the statement. Are Rangers running formal disciplinary measures or is it the SFA they are talking about. If it is the SFA then why are Rangers banning him until after a decision has been made. I understand that rangers don't want all their dirty washing in public eye but their lack of information and their gagging no information statements are making them look like a bad bully boss. Many fans could have bought their season ticket on the Barton appearance. Rangers don't look great here.

Sorry Craig but it is you that has got it wrong. He had a meeting with Rangers on Thursday because of his meeting with the SFA on Wednesday so it is totally relevant. He cancelled the meeting with Rangers because he cancelled the meeting with the SFA. He served his sentence for his trouble with Rangers and now he is being punished before he has been found guilty of anything. This stinks from Rangers side and for me there is only one man responsible. If Warburton wanted Barton in the team he would be playing it is as simple as that.

For me it is pretty obvious and in fact I now feel we are treating him very shabbily. I am starting to wonder if Warburton has lost the plot. The guy did something wrong and got punished for it. All of a sudden the goal posts got moved time and again. If I get arrested for stealing I am not kept in jail until a trial, I am released on bail to return to my everyday life. Barton will get a punishment from the SFA but Rangers are now punishing him before he is even been found guilty. If the SFA trial was 6 months away would he be sidelined for 6 months? He will be getting paid for doing nothing but I think he would rather be playing for nothing. If Rangers wanted Barton playing he would be playing. They are not even letting him train so he can hit the ground running after his punishment and that is pretty unheard of. Sorry Craig as I say it is obvious to me he is not wanted and probably the person that committed the biggest crime here was the person that signed him in the first place.

They can't they can only sack him if he is found guilty of gambling. If not he will return to the club or we will have to buy him off.

Normally in the LC Warburton has played Gilks. Gilks played in the U20 team on Monday to keep his eye in Warburton said in his interview. Will Warburton stick with the modus operandi or will he put Foderingham in for Gilks against Celtic. What do we think? Our considered best team or giving our reserve keeper a game. Not arguing with you Craig as I agree with you but what I will say is Ricksen was a talent that wasted it himself and couldn't have given an 'F' for the team but was more interested in drink and having a good time.(Except for one season) Sebo was a less talented person who tried his best and worked his ass off for the cause and always tried his best. It is a matter of what you prefer. Certainly Ricksen was a class above Sebo.
