Agree 100%, the takeover of the Rangers shares put the old board in Check. The addition of the rangers fans buying shares helped in the lethal Checkmate. Unfortunately we could not change things before the old board ran up a spree of dubious contracts that tie our hands for 7 years plus unless SD work an agreement.

I hope this has not been on before. I haven't seen it anyway.

Good I hope they can at least get a draw.

I just want to give this a wee bump as I am seeing more and more insults and snide remarks getting thrown about. We do not have many rules on the Gersnet and we have a pretty lenient group of moderators. To be honest I get enough bitching from the wife without coming on here and getting a double portion. As Frankie says above this is a great wee site well known for the deep well thought discussions that go on. It is a pity to spoil it with insults and snide remarks. Please keep this in mind when posting. Respect each other and different opinions that is the only rule we really ask for on here and it is not that difficult really, Thanks!

Makes me wonder more what they did in training under Ally

Okay guy's cut out this crap. TWBD Why did you feel the need to reply after the Mods had stepped in? I am closing the thread.

Brown ran about like a headless chicken and gave the Germans so much room he was chasing shadows. Halliday is a far superior player to him.

We have 6 men in one defensive line marking 2 people and 3 just about 2 yards in front of the 6. No wonder they can score at will. If they time the run right they are through the defensive wall. Terrible tactics from Strachan.

Works great on the BBC Iplayer but does not work on the sky link or the link for NOS(dutch)

I am not up on UK coaching methods Craig and it is possible Holland are taking it over from the UK. The Dutch can't be first with every coaching idea. As Gribz stated I have seen parents screaming at each other down the line and have heard stories on news channels of multi parent punch-ups. I have also seen some parents ending up about 10 yards inside the line screaming instructions. The no referee thing is great in theory but it could cause lengthy discussions and who will stop the game. I suppose that is the whole idea to get the kids discussing decisions. As BM says it will be interesting to see how it pans out in 10 years time when todays kids are about 18.

Totally agree with that but if Spurs stay on the losing trend I fear they may make a push for him. The 10 million pound question is can he get a EPL team to use the tactics that he worships. I fear unless he can buy the cream of cream his team would get humped on the break by most top English teams.

Not rangers News but I think it is worth discussing in this forum. The new method of coaching for 7/8 years old is that Parents must stand at least 20 meters from the field of play. They are only allowed to make complimentary or positive remarks to their kids. They are not allowed to instruct the kids and have to be positive about the decisions the kids make. There is no referee and the kids decide themselves if a foul has been committed. Even the coaches have to promote the positive things that have been done instead of pointing out a barrow load of mistakes. This is an attempt to bring fair play into the future. Worth discussion I think.

i hope you are right but he is a Spurs supporter and they have started badly. More money and your boyhood dream I doubt Rangers could hold him. As I say I hope I am wrong.

To be honest I think Warburton will be at Spurs in the not too distant future. Hopefully we make a lot of compensation money. I would love to think he is a Struth figure but unfortunately we cannot even think of crossing swords with an EPL team.

In Holland and Germany the public channels have to keep a certain amount of football time. It will be a sad day if that changes a football disappears for a large number of people. Imagine a number of youth that have never seen a football game. Sky has killed off all the smaller countries and the chance a EC winner will ever be outside Spain, Italy, Germany or England is next to none. We can blame the English but the fact is Rangers and Celtic shot themselves in the foot when they wanted to start their own channel and pulled out at the last moment giving Sky reason to walk away. We went from a 49mill contract by Sky to an 8 million contract at the BBC. Sky have also used the fall of Scottish football to offer peanuts while Scottish sky viewers are sponsoring 49 million pound English transfers.

You see this is a perfect example of willing to cut your nose off to spite your face, Football must not totally be lost behind a pay channel. It must be open to everyone so as people who don't, won't pay a fortune for Sky or BT can still enjoy football. Yes there is a lot wrong with the BBC but we should be hoping for change and not for it's death. And yes I know everyone pays for the BBC.

Sandy Jardine and Danny McGrain(before his injury) were the best full backs I have ever seen. After his Injury McGrain became a butcher

Agree I was out my seat applauding at the penalty run and I was sitting at home. Thankfully the wife was away or she would have thought I had gone mad.
-
It is with everything SKY, BBC, STV. I used to get round it with ex-pat shield but it doesn't seem to work for me anymore.
-
I actually have hope for him as an attacking full-back. I really see potential in him to be a good attacking full-back.

RANGERS winger Fraser Aird is reportedly being targeted by a string of clubs in the English Championship and League One. Barnsley were rumoured to have had a bid for Aird rebuffed in August before the transfer window closed but are still said to be keen. Bolton Wanderers, Rotherham United, Sheffield United and Bradford City are all understood to be interested. Despite bing on the fringes of the squad, Rangers will reportedly only consider loaning Aird out with no option to buy. (HITC)
