  1. Very often the easy part is getting to the top of the league. The hard part is staying there.
  2. They haven't answered the question yet as the league is far from won. they did show a lot of bottle though.

It would certainly save us a few million, so let's hope so.
  4. Agreed and i am not a Chelsea fan but it is a shame that a ref has such a big say on who goes through. Chelsea players are going crazy in the dressing room shouting the game was rigged by Fifa who didn't want an English final. Craig that you don't think the handball was a penalty surprises me. Interested to know why. His hand was stuck out in an unnatural position and the ball hit his hand. Definite penalty imo.
  5. Chelsea were robbed in this game by the ref. At least two definite penalties. Better team lost but possibly a better final now.
  6. I still admit i am not a huge Boyd fan although i admit he certainly is improving other aspects of his game. I don't think one player in a team scoring 25 goals means he is necessarily good for the team over the whole season. Wayne Rooney will probably never score 25 goals a season but i would much prefer what he offers to the team than what Boyd offers. I personally prefer a striker who can control and hold on to a ball to give players time to come up in support. Just my opinion.
  7. I was going to say a Harrier with a tim-buster bomb but they wouldn't have a chance because they haven't got a goalkeeper.
  8. Just as a by note, Alexander has never let us down to my memory. Surely he should have a run as first keeper now.
  9. Sorry Cal you have gotten Hutton and McGregor both wrong. Hutton was playing great until his injury it was when he came back he was booed. Le Guen made McGregor the No1 after Litizi blundered against Inverness and then was supposedly injured. Even when he returned fit he never replaced McGregor again.
  10. Can't do anything but agree.
  11. Where does Adam play for Blackpool?
  12. och shucks, we thought you were a fortune teller that was going to make us rich.
  13. It wasn't debatable it was totally not a penalty. Gomez touched the ball long before he got the man. Bad ref decision.
  14. As i said in another thread Edu was by far my motm. He broke up the play and i only witnessed him making one bad dangerous pass. Well worth the 9\10 Nacho Novo having trouble with the pitch? mmmm! Was that the reason for his complete lack of composure and insight to where his fellow team mates are positioned. We could have scored more if he had a clue where his colleagues were positioned. His industry is worth a 5\10 his composure and insight is worth a super sub place.
  15. since the only OF victory this season was without Fergie I will go for the new regime.
  16. Personally i will also thank him for his services and then enjoy the moment the snake in the grass slithers out the door. Just my opinion.
  17. Just read a post putting this in another way. What would Rangers and Celtic be saying if English teams wanted to come to Scotland to contend our CL places. As long as they all came i suppose it would be okay but if only Bolton applied then i think they would get booted into touch.
  18. Yes definitely the ebst.
  19. Just been on reporting Scotland that Bolton have drawn up new plans for a new EPL set-up that includes the championship as well. They have also allowed room for the old firm to join at the second tier. They will be bringing it forward at a meeting on Thursday.
  20. Are you getting soft Cal. We're not used to that.
  21. A case of you can please some of the people some of the time.etc. I can hear some fans saying why is last game at home when the league may be decided by then. personally i think the whole split system is bullshit but that is just my opinion. All it does is make it interesting for one or two teams seven or eight games out.
  22. The Scottish cup final has been a week later than the ECF for the last few years.
  23. AZ will win the title they have three games to do it. Scheringa and his bank have been shown up as the rats that they are on Dutch television this week. As i said in another post he has the bank that lends to the people who are in debt. He offers a far better interest rate than anyone else. Once you have signed that form he can charge you what he wants as no other bank will grant you the limit of credit he does. One family had a mortgage of 180.000 euro's by the RBS. They went for the cheap Sheringa loan and now have a mortgage of 300.000 while the house is only worth 205.000. I am happy that a lesser team win the league but that gentleman Scheringa is a barsteward.
  24. I don't think we will be playing in that one.
  25. BARRY Ferguson discovered first-hand yesterday that his return to Rangers may well be anything but seamless, the deposed captain training alone following his two-week suspension. Rangers manager Walter Smith may have admitted in midweek that he had reversed his decision never to consider Ferguson and goalkeeper Allan McGregor for first-team duty again, but there is no sudden outbreak of peace and harmony at Murray Park. While Ferguson was ostracised from first-team work as he returned from a fortnight's ban, McGregor, on his first day back from the same punishment, worked as normal with his fellow goalkeepers under the watchful eye of coach Jim Stewart. Publicly, Smith claims he has not made up his mind over whether either of the shamed duo will feature against Hibernian at Easter Road tomorrow. "I will wait to make up my mind, I don't know what I will do yet," insisted the manager. Yet the evidence suggests Ferguson has little or no chance of facing Mixu Paatelainen's men. McGregor, conversely, may be among the substitutes with Neil Alexander set to retain his place as Rangers' custodian. "There was no awkwardness this morning," said the veteran defender Christian Dailly of Ferguson and McGregor's return to the dressing room. "We just tried to be as normal as we can. It has happened, the punishment has been served and we are all trying to draw a line under it. As players, we have kind of had enough of it. We just want to play." The most talked-about player in Scottish football, before the drinking and gesture controversy which has engulfed so much of the last three weeks, was surely Kris Boyd. The Rangers striker will line up against Hibs with a record of 99 Rangers goals in 109 starts, such a statistic providing a strong counter argument to those who believe the former Kilmarnock man lacks basic talent. Smith, who almost watched Boyd leave for Birmingham City during the January transfer window, is more content than ever that the forward's all-round game is worthy of praise. "I think if anything there has been a realisation (by Boyd] that goals alone are not the be all and end all these days," his manager said. "I think the game today means that you have to contribute outwith the goals you score. There has to be a willingness to do a bit more for the team and that has shown in his play. "Sometimes you have to look at the overall structure of the team. You can get away with just scoring goals when the rest of the team is strong and settled. Over the period, we have not been like that. "The more difficult the game, the more you require a team effort. I hope we are getting the benefit of that now with the realisation you have to do a lot more. Before, I think Kris was reliant on the fact that if he scored, that was it and he would be in the team although, of course, what we don't want to do is take away the natural finishing ability he has." Smith is therefore surprised Boyd's 28 goals in this campaign have not deemed him worthy of a nomination for the country's players' player of the year award. "When you have a player who is top goalscorer, you at least think he would be shortlisted," said the former Everton and Scotland manager. "People always have opinions on who is best or who is most consistent but he has shown he is the most consistent goalscorer. "It (28] is a great return by anybody's standards but his performances have been better. In the past eight or nine games, even when he was not scoring, he has played far better. Do not ask me why, he just has. I thought he would at least have been among the nominees." Dailly is another firm advocate of Boyd's talent, the former West Ham United and Blackburn player deeming him as incomparable to any striker he has ever played with. "I think people have just got used to the number of goals he scores and maybe taken it for granted," explained Dailly. "It is easy to be blase about it and say, 'There's Kris Boyd, he's scored again'. He is phenomenal. He keeps scoring goals and is a right good player. He has definitely worked hard at his fitness. At times he has found it tough our there but he has put himself through it. "Before, he was not going to be the first to offer himself for extra running or weight sessions but he probably would be now, to be honest. I am a big fan and he has all the physical attributes in his locker. As a finisher, he is as good as anyone."
