I didn't explain properly. When I say "British mentality" I mean being part of the union. An inclusive, diverse range of different people upholding shared values together. As opposed to divisive, separatist, insular, backward thinking, parochial nationalism. Before anyone states the obvious "hypocrisy" of that statement at the moment, I voted to remain part of the European Union too.

My mums side of the family are English and I am Scottish. I refer to myself on any forms or to those from overseas as British. I have always seen myself and everyone else from the British isles as British first and scots/English/Welsh or NI second. As for nats being parochial, of course they are. By definition nationalism is divisive and parochial. Also to deny that the SNP are not demonising and dehumanising unionists and the Rangers support through its association is not unusual from nats. The good thing about the second referendum is that many have woken up to their "squirrel politics". Diverting attention while educating/jobs/health/economic growth are all falling apart. Don't worry though because "look there's a squirrel"!. I'm proud to be British and of the British mentality. I can't say I share the same level of commitment for being Scottish. I would pick British every time.

It's always the same with some people bluedell. Typically nats supporters unionism=sectarianism in their parochial minds. Clearly there has always been a connection with Rangers and being British. We have flown the Union Jack over stands at ibrox to symbolise this.

I'm on holiday at the moment and have only just read this. It is a Brilliant piece Stugers! I could not agree more. This is being orchestrated from the highest level in the hope of ostracising the unionist community. This would potentially have massive political effect. Unionists who are still in the majority by a full 10% are being made to feel second class. Imagine life under independent SNP rule? From what I can gather at the moment though, is that far more people are noticing the state we are going in as a country this time. I suspect nippys time has come and gone. This is her one last throw of the dice. I predict a poor showing in the up coming council elections too for them with labour gains. However the attacks on our club, history and culture will continue. Ending only when the racist and sectarian nationalist republicans are removed from power.

I'm with Ian on this. There are Rangers supporters out there who support Indy. I can't fathom why, but there are. Personally I like to know what the enemy is plotting. So although we are clearly not condoning anyone buying this "wank sock" of a rag, it reminds everyone what we are up against with the odd post. On another political note, don't be surprised if we see the SNP lose seats at the council elections. Only the most staunch republican nats can't see their policies falling to pieces.

That is honestly worrying that someone finds the time for such bitterness. Carrying all that hate and bigoted resentment is truely unsettling. The poison that is inherited in many shames us all. Nothing but bile from a republican, nationalist and separatist Protestant/Rangers hating rag. I am lost for words why any Rangers fan or Protestant would vote for independence. If you think w are treated poorly now, wait until it's full blown public discrimination. We will be treated as subordinates and second class scum!

Hyndman and Toral have transformed the midfield. Gone is the slow and hesitating football from Halliday. Replaced today with slick movement and passing. Hyndman is mentally quicker and more assured than everyone else.
